Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to bamboo racks and more particularly, to bamboo posts for holding bearing panels horizontally at different elevations for holding things.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Wood, plastics, metals and many other materials are selectively used for making display racks, storage racks or storage containers. In order to show an antique sense of beauty, bamboo or wood material is the best choice for making racks and storage containers. For the characteristic of antique sense of beauty, bamboo and wooden racks and storage containers are widely invited by consumers.

Conventionally, a bamboo or wooden rack comprises a plurality of bamboo or wooden posts and a plurality of flat bamboo or wooden panels affixed to the bamboo or wooden posts horizontally at different elevations for holding things. To affix the flat bamboo or wooden panels to the bamboo or wooden posts, screws, nails, or rivets are commonly used. According to this mounting technique, a bamboo or wooden rack can only be made in a rectangular or square shape.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view.

According to one aspect of the present invention, a bamboo rack comprises a plurality of bamboo posts having a different number of phases and a plurality of flat bearing panels horizontally supported on the bamboo posts at different elevations for holding things.

According to another aspect of the present invention, the bamboo posts include a plurality of crossed bamboo posts, angle bar-like bamboo posts and T-shaped bamboo posts. By means of the application of different combinations of the bamboo posts having a different number of phases, different racks having different configurations can be established.

According to still another aspect of the present invention, flat locating blocks are affixed to the bamboo posts within one of a number of phases thereof at different elevations for supporting flat bearing panels at different elevations for holding things.

Further, the flat locating blocks can be affixed to the bamboo posts with screws, or by means of tongue and groove joint/mortise and tenon joint. In one application example of the present invention, four angle bar-like bamboo posts are arranged in four corners, and bearing panels are supported on the flat locating blocks of the angle bar-like bamboo posts at different elevations for holding things.

In another application example of the present invention, T-shaped bamboo posts are affixed to a vertical wall in a parallel manner, and bearing panels are horizontally supported on the flat locating blocks between each two adjacent T-shaped bamboo posts at different elevations for holding things.

In still another application example of the present invention, one T-shaped bamboo post and two angle bar-like bamboo posts are affixed to a vertical wall in a parallel manner, and bearing panels are horizontally supported on the flat locating blocks of the T-shaped bamboo post and the angle bar-like bamboo posts at different elevations for holding things.

In still another application example of the present invention, multiple angle bar-like bamboo posts and crossed bamboo posts and T-shaped bamboo posts are used with multiple bearing panels to constitute a bamboo rack for holding thins.

Further, the flat locating blocks can be made having a rectangular or triangular shape, or any of a variety of other geometrical shapes. The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.

Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Referring to FIG. 1, a bamboo post in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention is a crossed bamboo post 1A having four phases, and a plurality of flat locating blocks 2 affixed thereto at different elevations. For example, four flat locating blocks 2 are affixed to the crossed bamboo post 1A and respectively disposed at each of the four phases at one same elevation (see FIG. 2A); two flat locating blocks 2 are affixed to the crossed bamboo post 1A and respectively disposed at each of two opposite phases at one same elevation (see FIG. 2B or 2D); three flat locating blocks 2 are affixed to the crossed bamboo post 1A and respectively disposed at each of three adjacent phases at one same elevation (see FIG. 2C, 2E, 2G or 2H); one flat locating block 2 is affixed to the crossed bamboo post 1A and disposed at one phase at a selected elevation (see FIG. 2F, 2I, 2J, 2R or 2K).

Referring to FIG. 4, a bamboo post in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention is a T-shaped bamboo post 1C having two phases and a plurality of flat locating blocks 2 affixed thereto at different elevations within one phase or both the two phases.

Referring to FIG. 6, a bamboo post in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention is an angle bar-like bamboo post 1B having one single phase and a plurality of flat locating blocks 2 affixed thereto within the single phase at different elevations.

Further, the flat locating blocks 2 in any of the aforesaid three embodiments can be made in a rectangular or triangular shape, or any of a variety of other geometrical shapes.

Referring to FIG. 3, multiple crossed bamboo posts 1A and angle bar-like bamboo posts 1B can be arranged together to form a frame structure in which flat bearing panels 3 are horizontally supported on the flat locating blocks 2 at different elevations for holding things.

Referring to FIG. 5, one T-shaped bamboo post 1C and two angle bar-like bamboo posts 1B may be affixed to a vertical wall with the two angle bar-like bamboo posts 1B equally spaced from the T-shaped bamboo post 1C in a parallel manner to hold flat bearing panels 3 on the flat locating blocks 2 at different elevations for holding things.

Referring to FIG. 7, four angle bar-like bamboo posts 1B may be arranged in four corners to support flat bearing panels 3, for example, rectangular bamboo panels on the flat locating blocks 2 at different elevations for holding things.

A prototype of bamboo rack has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜7. The bamboo rack functions smoothly to provide all of the features disclosed earlier.

It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
