Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to a dust collector, and more particularly to a dust bag structure easily fittable and connectable to a dust collector.

It is known that in a working site, waste powders and dusts are often produced in processing operation and spread in the air. The powders and dusts contained in the air are generally filtered off from the air and collected by means of a dust collector to avoid air pollution. The collected powders and dusts can be recovered for other use. In general, the powders and dusts are collected in a bag body or the like. The bag body has an opening fitted to a collection tube of the dust collector. The opening of the bag body is then looped with a fastening strap assembly and fastened to the collection tube by means of the fastening strap assembly. Accordingly, the bag body can be tightly connected to the collection tube of the dust collector.

However, the conventional bag body is generally a soft plastic bag made of polyethylene or the like polymer. Therefore, it is uneasy to fit the bag body onto the collection tube of the dust collector. In general, two workers are needed to stand on two sides of the collection tube opposite to each other and together fit the bag body onto the collection tube. Moreover, before the fastening strap assembly is secured, the bag body is manually kept fitted with the collection tube. This is quite inconvenient.

FIGS. 1 and 2 show a measure for temporarily and preliminarily locating the bag body on the collection tube instead of labor. Substantially, according to the measure, multiple resilient plates 2 or spring clips 3 are arranged along the circumference of the collection tube 1. In the first stage of connection between the bag body 4 and the collection tube 1, the open end of the bag body 4 is clipped by means of the resilient plates 2 or spring clips 3 to keep the bag body 4 fitted with the collection tube 1. Then the bag body 4 is tightly secured to the collection tube 1 by means of the fastening strap assembly.

Such measure can be used to preliminarily locate the bag body instead of labor. However, in practice, it is inconvenient to use the resilient plates 2 or spring clips 3. This is because that the resilient plates 2 or spring clips 3 are arranged along the circumference of the collection tube. Therefore, a user must first circle the collection tube 1 to insert the open end of the bag body 4 between the resilient plates 2 or spring clips 3 and the outer wall face of the collection tube 1. Obviously, such process is troublesome and inconvenient.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide an improved dust bag structure easily fittable and connectable to a dust collector. The dust bag can be fitted to the collection tube and then directly simultaneously secured to the collection tube. Therefore, it is unnecessary to first preliminarily locate the bag body and then secure the bag body to the collection tube as in the prior art.

It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above dust bag structure easily fittable and connectable to the dust collector. The dust bag can be fitted and connected to the collection tube by one single operator in a fixed position.

To achieve the above and other objects, the dust bag structure easily fittable and connectable to a dust collector of the present invention includes a dust bag and a retainer member. The dust bag includes a soft bag body having an open end. The open end is coaxially fittable and connectable to a collection tube of the dust collector. The retainer member is disposed around a periphery of the open end of the dust bag for fixing the dust bag with the collection tube. The dust bag further includes a connection section positioned at the open end for connecting with the retainer member, whereby the open end is looped with and connected with the retainer member.

The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Please refer to FIGS. 3 to 6. According to a first embodiment, the dust bag structure 10 easily fittable and connectable to a dust collector of the present invention is composed of a dust bag 20 and a retainer member 30.

In this embodiment, the dust bag 20 is a soft bag-like body made of polyethylene. The dust bag 20 includes a soft bag body 21 having an open end 22 communicating an internal space of the bag body 21 with outer side thereof. The open end 22 is coaxially fitted on a collection tube 40 of a conventional dust collector. A hollow connection section 23 is positioned on outer circumference of the bag body 21 and extends along a periphery of the open end 22 in the form of an arc. In manufacturing, the connection section 23 is formed in such a manner that the original open end of the dust bag 20 is folded over itself with the endmost section fused with the outer circumference of the bag body 21 by means of thermal fusion or ultrasonic fusion. After folded, the new endmost section defines the open end 22.

The retainer member 30 pertains to prior art. The retainer member 30 includes a metal-made elongated strap body 31 passing through the interior of the connection section 23. Two ends of the strap body 31 extend out of two ends of the arc-shaped connection section 23 respectively. A first buckle section 32 and a second buckle section 33 are respectively disposed at the two ends of the strap body 31. The first and second buckle sections 32, 33 can be buckled with each other to loop the retainer member 30. The first and second buckle sections 32, 33 can be adjusted to change inner diameter of the looped retainer member 30 in accordance with outer diameter of the collection tube of the dust collector. Accordingly, by means of fastening the retainer member 30, the dust bag 20 can be tightly fitted and connected to the collection tube. The manner in which the retainer member 30 is fastened to secure the dust bag to the collection tube 40 pertains to prior art and thus will not be further described hereinafter.

The dust bag 2 is fitted and connected to the collection tube 40 in such a manner that the open end 22 of the dust bag 2 is first coaxially fitted onto the outer circumference of the collection tube 40. Then, by means of fastening the retainer member 30, the dust bag 20 is tightly and securely connected to the collection tube 40.

In comparison with the conventional technique, the dust bag structure 10 of the present invention can be more conveniently used. To speak more specifically, the dust bag 20 can be fitted and connected to the collection tube 40 by one single operator. The retainer member 30 is able to shape the open end 22 of the dust bag 20 to keep the open end 22 in an open state with a circular configuration. Accordingly, the open end 22 can be directly fitted onto the collection tube 40 without additionally manually keeping the open end 22 of the soft dust bag in an open state with a circular configuration. Furthermore, the shaped open end 22 will be maintained to fit with the collection tube 40. At this time, the operator can directly fasten the retainer member 30, which is connected with the bag body 21 via the connection section 23. Accordingly, at the same time when the retainer member 30 is fastened to the collection tube 40, the bag body 21 is simultaneously fixed on the collection tube 40 with the retainer member 30. Therefore, it is unnecessary to first preliminarily locate the bag body and then use the retainer member to connect the bag body with the collection tube.

It should be noted that the present invention is characterized in that the retainer member for connecting the dust bag with the collection tube has certain rigidity. The rigidity enables the open end of the soft dust bag to stay in an open state with a circular configuration. Therefore, the bag body can be fitted onto the collection tube and secured thereto at the same time. Any equivalent measure that can be used to properly connect the retainer member 30 to the outer circumference of the open end of the dust bag 20 is included in the scope of the present invention.

For example, FIG. 7 shows a second embodiment of the present invention. In the second embodiment, multiple elongated band members 231′ are disposed on the periphery of the open end 22′. The band members 231′ are lengthwise parallel to each other. First ends and second ends of the band members 231′ are fixedly connected to the bag body 21′ to define an annular intermittent passage extending around the periphery of the open end 22′. FIG. 8 shows a third embodiment of the present invention, in which multiple elongated band members 231″ are disposed on the periphery of the open end 22″. The band members 231″ are lengthwise parallel to each other. First ends of the band members 231″ are fixedly connected to the bag body 21″, while second ends of the band members 231″ are buckled to the bag body 21″. Accordingly, the elongated band members 231″ define an annular intermittent passage extending around the periphery of the open end 22″.

In the second and third embodiments, the annular intermittent passages are for the strap bodies 31′, 31″ of the retainer members 30′, 30″ to pass through. Accordingly, the retainer members 30′, 30″ can also shape the open ends 22′, 22″ as in the first embodiment. Therefore, an operator can solely, easily and quickly complete the fitting, connection and fastening process between the dust bags 20′, 20″ and the collection tube 40.

The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
