Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention generally relates to an improved structure for a sport board, more particularly to a sport board structure which is assembled by a hardened layer and a special assembling method.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Water sports are always attractive, especially the earth temperature is increasing gradually. Taiwan in the subtropical zone is now approaching 37-38° C. in summer in the recent years, and Europe and North America are sometimes more than 40° C. So that, water sports are more popular than ever, more particularly to the sea sports.

Although the sea sports in summer are more year and year, surfing in either Europe or North America is popular all the year as well, therefore the sea sports may not be disappeared due to cold weather. Additionally, following the conditions of water sports in inland lakes and sea activities being increased, the safety to water sport devices or lifesaving devices is relatively promoted.

Snowboard and turfski, applied on the land, are more and more; additionally, such sports may not be limited by that of going to beaches or places close to inland lakes, so that the sports on the land are easily accepted by customers. On the contrary, a medium where the snowboard or turfski is on is much harder than water, the safety is more important relatively, wherein the medium can be a snow field or a grass.

With references to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, which illustrate a schematic exploded view of a structure for a sport board in prior arts and a schematic complete sectional view of the structure for the sport board in prior arts. As shown in the two figures, a sport board 5 includes a first layer 51, a second layer 52 and a third layer 53; wherein the first layer 51 and third layer 53 are made of low density foam materials, the second layer 52 is made of high density foam materials.

On the other hand, a method for assembling the structure for the sport board includes the steps of: (1) pressing and gluing the first layer 51, second layer 52 and third layer 53 by hands; (2) keeping pressing for a period of time, and waiting for concreting; (3) machining glue residues; (4) grinding tiny residues; and (5) sticking waterproof rims for water leaking into the layers.

As a conclusion based on aforesaid method, there are three shortcomings listed below:

  • (1) The steps of pressing and gluing by hands and keeping pressing for a period of time are obviously increasing manufacturing cost, and the effect of gluing may not be good as well.
  • (2) Machining and grinding may cost a lot.
  • (3) The waterproof rims may be easily leaking water so as to cause low durability and liability.

Another point, when leaking is happening, the whole structure will be collapsed due to that of a foam material. Hence any one who is playing in the sea or engaging in the work of lifesaving needs to be very careful for being possibly in a risk.

Therefore, how to figure out such shortcomings is an important issue to the people who are skilled in the art.

With references to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, which illustrate a schematic complete sectional view of a first structure of an improved structure for a sport board of the present invention and a schematic sectional view of the first structure of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The improved structure includes: a first layer 1, which is a low density foam layer and has a first surface 11 and a second surface 12; a second layer 2, which is a hardened layer, a first surface 21 of the second layer 2 is joined the second surface 12 of the first layer 1; a third layer 3, which is a low density foam layer, a first surface 31 of the third layer 3 is joined a second surface 22 of the second layer 2; and a cover layer 4, which is a waterproof layer, a first surface 41 of the cover layer 4 is completely joined the first surface 11 of the first layer 1 and a second surface 32 of the third layer 3, wherein a second surface 42 of the cover layer 4 is roughed and is corresponding to the first surface 41 of the cover layer 4. There are several ways to rough the second surface 42 of the cover layer 4, such as having some patterns on the second surface 42. This is not only having a good-looking appearance, but also having the functions of increasing the hardness and skidproof. Hence the safety is increasing. More, the sport board A is selected from the group consisting of: snowboard, turfski, sailboard, and floating board.

With reference to FIG. 5, which illustrates a schematic exploded view of a first preferred embodiment of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The structure AX includes a first layer 1X, a second layer 2X and a third layer 3X. The second layer 2X is a hardened layer and bring into practice as a hollow layer. Other portions of the first preferred embodiment are the same as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, and will not be described hereinafter.

With reference to FIG. 6, which illustrates a schematic exploded view of a second preferred embodiment of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The structure AY includes a first layer 1Y, a second layer 2Y and a third layer 3Y. The second layer 2Y is a hardened layer and bring into practice as a tube member. Other portions of the second preferred embodiment are the same as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, and will not be described hereinafter.

With reference to FIG. 7, which illustrates a schematic exploded view of a third preferred embodiment of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The structure AY includes a first layer 1Z, a second layer 2Z and a third layer 3Z. The second layer 2Z is a hardened layer and bring into practice as a plate member. Other portions of the third preferred embodiment are the same as shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, and will not be described hereinafter.

In addition to aforesaid three embodiments, the hardened second layer can be other types in order to enhance the rigidity of the whole body, avoid deformation and increase durability. Therefore, the risks to playing or rescue in water will be highly decreased.

With references to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, which illustrate a schematic sectional view of a mold and a first structure for the improved structure of the present invention and a flow chart of a method for assembling the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The method includes the steps of: (1) disposing the first layer 1 into a first semi-mold T1 of a mold T and the third layer 3 into a second semi-mold T2 of the mold T; (2) preheating the first layer 1 and third layer 3; (3) locating the second layer 2 in between the first layer 1 and third layer 3 and closing the mold T; (4) assembling the first layer 1, second layer 2 and third layer 3 by way of glue or ultrasonic welding; (5) the cover layer 4 completely wrapping around the first layer 1, second layer 2 and third layer 3 after assembling; and (6) roughing the cover layer 4 in order to increase the hardness and skidproof.

With reference to FIG. 10, which illustrates a schematic sectional view of a second structure of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention. The most differences between the first structure as shown in FIG. 4 and the second structure as shown in FIG. 10 are described as following. An outer surface 43 of the second surface 42 of the cover layer 4 of the second structure as shown in FIG. 10 is a colorful layer with at least one pattern in order to have a good-looking appearance and increase safety. The outer surface 43 is made of cloth or plastic. Further, another layer 44 wraps around the colorful layer with the pattern, and the layer 44 has the functions of skidproof and avoiding that the colors of the pattern are stripped off. The layer 44 can cover on the outer surface 43 or directly replace the outer surface 43 for being an outer surface of the second surface 42 of the cover layer 4. Further more, the way to form the outer surface 43 and/or the layer 44 is selected from the group consisting of: (1) presetting the outer surface 43 and/or the layer 44 on the second surface 42 of the cover layer 4 before molding, as shown in FIG. 11, which illustrates a schematic sectional view of a mold and the second structure for the improved structure of the present invention; (2) disposing the outer surface 43 and/or the layer 44 on the second surface 42 of the cover layer 4 via wrapping, coating or printing after the cover layer 4 wrapping around the first layer 1, second layer 2 and third layer 3, as shown in FIG. 12, which illustrates a schematic complete sectional view of the second structure of the improved structure for the sport board of the present invention.

The present invention has been described by references to the preferred embodiments, and it is understood that the embodiments are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, which is defined only by the appended claims.
