Safe structure of cord set for window curtain
An improved safe structure of cord set for a window curtain includes a base, a plurality of towing cords, a shade body and a pulling cord unit. The shade body is provided for each towing cord with buckles and a connector for connecting an end of the towing cord. The connector includes a socket fixed on the shade body, an insertion connecting member connected with the socket for fixing an end of the towing cords, the insertion connecting member has a blind hole for placing therein an end segment of the towing cords, thereby blocking of the end segment in the buckle is prevented when the connecting member is released from the socket, the buckle has thereon a breaking slit, thereby the towing cord can be loosened and released from the buckle when it is exerted with an axial pulling force over a predetermined value.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a technique concerning the structure of a window curtain, and especially to an improved safe structure of a cord set for a window curtain.
2. Description of the Prior Art
There are many kinds of curtains for decoration, covering, obscuring etc., for instance, they include Roman shades, roller shades etc. to be widely used in houses.
Curtains normally need to be provided with cord sets for the convenience of operation of contracting/stretching them. Taking a Roman shade as an example, it includes a base, a plurality of towing cords pending below the base, a shade body provided below the base to be controlled by the towing cord, a pulling cord unit extending out of the base to connect with the towing cord to manipulate the actions of contracting/stretching the cord.
The above mentioned towing cord, pulling cord unit etc. are most possible to induce a dangerous accident such as a curious child has his neck tied tight or his limbs wound, many countries and districts in the world forcedly stipulated one after one that design of cord sets must be able to avoid occurrence of accidents for the purpose of preventing the accidents such as a cord set of a curtain ties a neck or a limb of a child tight to result a danger of suffocating or hurt.
Therefore, the inventor studied and designed the present invention according to the requirement of a safe structural concerning the towing cords on a window curtain to provide safety in use of the window curtain.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved safe structure of a cord set for a window curtain, in order that when a cord set of a curtain is wound around the neck or a limb of a child inadvertently, the structure can fast and effectively relieve the tension of the cord set, so that the child can get rid of the binding force of the cord set or the binding force of the cord set can be lowered, and the danger that the child suffocates or his limb gets hurt can be avoided.
In the improved safe structure of cord set for a window curtain of the present invention, the so called curtain includes a base, a plurality of towing cords pending below the base, a shade body provided below the base to be controlled by the towing cords to manipulate the actions of contracting/stretching; a pulling cord unit extending out of the base to connect with the towing cords to allow a user to manipulate the actions of contracting/stretching with the towing cords. The shade body is provided for each towing cord with a plurality of buckles for extending therethrough of the towing cord and with a connector for connecting an end of the towing cord. The connector includes a socket fixed on the shade body, an insertion connecting member insertion connected with the socket; the caliber of each of the buckles can allow extending of the insertion connecting member therethrough; the socket is provided with a jack which is provided on its two inner lateral sides with at least a pair of mutually symmetrical grooves; the front end of the insertion connecting member is a V shaped plug, while the rear end of the latter is a connecting portion for connecting the cord set. The V shaped plug is provided in its middle with a spare slit for compression, and is provided on its two lateral sides with curved protruding portions in correspondence with the grooves; the tailing end of the connecting portion for connecting the cord set is provided with a guide hole for extending of the towing cord therethrough; a blind hole is in communication with the guide hole to make an end segment of the towing cord not protruding out of the surface of the connecting portion when being placed in the blind hole, in order that the insertion connecting member is released from the socket when the towing cord is exerted with an axial pulling force over a predetermined value, and in order that an end segment of the towing cord is prevented from protruding out of the surface of the connecting portion to block the buckle. The buckle is provided thereon with a breaking slit having a width smaller than that of the diameter of the towing cord; thereby the towing cord can be released from the buckle when it is exerted with an axial pulling force over a predetermined value an axial pulling force over a predetermined value.
The present invention will be apparent in its technical means after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiment thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

And more, the jack 611 is provided on its two inner lateral sides with two sets of mutually symmetrical grooves 612, the calibers of the two sets of mutually symmetrical grooves 612 are different, so that when curved protruding portions 624 on the two lateral sides of the V shaped plug 621 are engaged in one set of the grooves 612, a combining force is provided, different set of grooves 612 provides different combining forces, so that a user can choose by himself an appropriate set of grooves 612 for engaging in of the curved protruding portions 624 in order to have different pulling forces to make releasing of the V shaped plug 621 from a jack 611.
The embodiment depicted and stated above is only for illustrating preferred embodiments of the present invention, and not for giving any limitation to the scope of the present invention. It will be apparent to those skilled in this art that various equivalent modifications or changes without departing from the spirit of this invention shall also fall within the scope of the appended claims.
