Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a hair styling device, and more particularly to a hair styling device including a number of ratchet comb teeth for engaging with the hair of the user and for stably attaching the hair styling device onto the hair of the user and for allowing the hair styling device to be suitably shielded or covered within the hair of the user.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Typical hair styling devices, such as hair clasps, hair clips, hair barrettes comprise two pivotal members pivotally coupled together with a pivot axle or hinge, and a number of comb teeth extended outwardly from one of the pivotal members for engaging with the hair of the user and for attaching the hair styling device onto the hair of the user.

For example, U.S. Pat. No. 3,412,739 to Thatcher discloses one of the typical hair barrettes comprising a single elongated piece of plastic material forming two integrally connected halves defined by a base member and a clamping member and an integral medial member, and a plurality of rows of teeth formed integral with one of the half members.

However, the comb teeth include a triangular or pyramid shape having a sharp tip such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the comb teeth and may not be stably retained to the typical hair barrettes with the triangular or pyramid comb teeth.

U.S. Pat. No. 3,595,249 to Solomon discloses another typical hair clasp comprising a one-piece flexible hair clasp having an arm hingedly attached at one end with a detent clasp at the other end for releasably holding the arm about a tress of hair.

However, the yieldingly forced past projections that are extended from an ornamental body include a cone shape having a sharp tip such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the comb teeth and may not be stably retained to the typical hair clasp with the cone shaped teeth.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,323,793 to Lorenzi discloses a further typical hair styling device comprising a clasp frame, a brush assembly, a clasp bar, a hinge mechanism, and a releasable clamp locking mechanism, and a number of bristle elements extended from a bristle support structure.

However, the bristle elements also include a smooth outer shape such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the smooth bristle elements and may not be stably retained to the typical hair styling device with the smooth bristle elements.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,533,533 to Shing discloses a still further typical hair clip comprising a number of teeth extended from a clip strip, and a comb pivotally attached to a clip plate.

However, the teeth of the clip strip and the comb teeth of the comb also include a smooth outer shape such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the smooth comb teeth and may not be stably retained to the typical hair clip with the smooth comb teeth or bristle elements.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,597,000 to Gerber discloses a still further typical hair styling device comprising a number of teeth extended from an upper and a lower elongated members for engaging with the hair of the user.

However, the teeth of the elongated members also include a smooth outer shape such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the smooth comb teeth and may not be stably retained to the typical hair styling device with the smooth comb teeth.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,267,119 to Silva discloses a still further typical hair styling or guiding comb comprising a number of comb teeth extended from a clamping portion.

However, the teeth of the clamping portion also include a smooth outer shape such that the hair of the user may slip relative to the smooth comb teeth and may not be stably retained to the typical hair styling device with the smooth comb teeth.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional hair styling devices.
