The present invention relates to a child access restricted/child safe packaged-product system. The invention further relates to child resistant closures for packaged-product. The synergistic combination of a closure means provided with engaging provisions adapted to removably receive and engage package wherein combination of multiple operations is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure provides child access restricted/child safe packaged-product system. The system comprises of a closure means provided with engaging member/s adapted to removably receive and engage a package wherein combination of multiple operation is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure. The package is provided with a provision to removably receive the said engaging member/s. The package is optionally provided with a uniquely identifiable information

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a child access restricted/child safe packaged-product system. The invention further relates to child resistant closures for packaged-product.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Products such as medicaments are primarily but not exclusively packaged in blister packs comprising one or plurality of deformable protrusions formed in a flexible sheet with a closure for each of the protrusions. An area of concern with regard to blister packs has been the uncontrolled ease with which products can be dispensed. This becomes particularly important when blister packs are handled by children and/or physically challenged. Further, establishing the authenticity and genuineness of a packaged product before use is essential as counterfeited products when consumed can cause grave harm to the patients.

Various attempts to achieve the above objectives are reported in literature

U.S. Pat. No. 7,201,274 discloses a package having a simultaneous stop, alignment, and enhanced tamper-resistant feature, wherein the package has an outer sleeve and a slide card slidably disposed within the outer sleeve. A stop panel is disposed on an inside surface of the outer sleeve and has an extension panel extending away therefrom, wherein the extension panel enhances the tamper-resistant nature of the package. A guide panel extends along a longitudinal edge of the outer sleeve and has a length equal to or greater than a combined length of the stop panel and extension panel. The guide panel being folded over the extension panel to defined a channel between an edge of the guide panel and a score line separating first and second panels of the outer sleeve.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,325,689 discloses a pharmaceutical package assembly that includes a tether having a fold-over card mating feature, and a fold-over card configured to house one or more pharmaceutical blisters, wherein the fold-over card includes a tether mating feature. One exemplary method of coupling the fold-over card to a tether includes forming a tether receiving recess in the front side of the fold-over card, folding the front side of the fold-over card adjacent to the back side of the fold-over card so that the tether receiving recess reveals an exposed portion of the fold-over card front side, and coupling the tether to the revealed portion of the card front side. Another exemplary method of coupling a fold-over card to a tether having a front side and a back side includes forming a fold-over card receiving recess in the tether such that when the front side of the tether is folded adjacent to the back side of the tether, the fold-over card receiving recess reveals an exposed portion of the tether, and coupling the fold-over card to the revealed portion of the tether.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,188,728 discloses a child-resistant senior-friendly blister card packaging that is cheap and easy to manufacture. The packaging requires a push-peel-push method for opening, which is cognitively and physically challenging for children and mentally impaired adults. Yet, competent adults can easily open the package, especially after reading instructions. More specifically, opening the package requires the user to: 1) Push through a aperture to create a pull tab; 2) Pull on the pull tab to remove a panel; and 3) Push the blister to force the contents through the blister's seal. Advantageously, the present invention is designed such that information such as instructions and product information can be easily printed directly on the packaging. Moreover, users may also record information directly on the packaging. Thus, the present invention not only provides child-resistant and senior-friendly features, but also provides convenience for viewing and recording information.

The review of the prior art reveals

    • Diverse engagement and disengagement mechanisms for the
    • Isolation of the package from the child resistant enclosure while accessing product from the package resulting in the danger of separation of the package from the child resistant enclosure
    • Lack of provision to remind user to reposition the package in the child resistant enclosure after use
      The need is felt to develop a child-safe package system/closure in the form of closure/s and/or package configuration provided with a means to remind/alert user of reengaging/repositioning the package in the child-safe state after use such that combination capability in terms of removable engagement of package with the closure such that combination capability is necessary to disengage and remove the said package from the closure to access the product in the package, in particular blister package along with the capability of uniquely identifying the package using external device/means.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main object of the invention is to provide a uniquely identifiable child access restricted/child-safe package system such that combination capability is necessary to access the product in the package.

Another object of the invention is to provide a package system with a child safe closure to a product package such that combination capability is necessary to access the package and thereby product in the package.

Another object of the invention is to provide a uniquely identifiable package for the child-safe package system.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide a uniquely identifiable package such that combination capability is necessary to access the product from the package.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide means on the package for providing effective solution to anti-counterfeiting.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide unique identifying information on the product package and/or closure.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide at least two sets of identification information on the product package.

Another object of the invention is to detect and record access of the product package from the closure.

Thus one aspect of the invention provides a system comprising:

a closure means provided with engaging member/s/provision adapted to removably receive and engage package wherein combination of operations is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure; package with a provision to removably receive the said engaging member/s; an optional sensing means is provided to sense the presence of the package in the said closure wherein the said sensing means is configured with power source and user interactive audio/visual/sensory means.

In another aspect of the invention the said sensing means is operably connected in the said provided closure in the form of a pressable switch configured with power source and audio/visual/sensory means, when the package is engaged with the said engaging member in the said closure the said pressable switch is pressed wherein upon removing the package from the said rest position at the time of consuming the product in the package, the said switch is depressed resulting in providing audio/visual/sensory indication to the user so as to remind him/her of repositioning the said package in the said closure to render child resistant state.

In another aspect of the invention the said package is provided with identification information to uniquely identify the package.

In another aspect of the invention the said package comprises of sheet with deformable protrusion/s formed; closure for the said sheet; combination of sheets with openings disposed such that combination capability is necessary to access the product from the said package.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the following detailed description and the preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In one of the configurations the package is engaged with the closure means wherein the said package has to be disengage and removed from the said closure means to access the package. The closure means may encompass the said package or is in the form of a tray like structure adapted to fit/holding the package. The package may be required to be disengage and separated from the closure means to access the product. FIG. 1 depicts one of the embodiments of the package system. The package is housed in a hinged closure wherein the package is removably or permanently engaged with the closure or package holding provision wherein the user has to perform at least two operations to access the package. In one of the embodiment as depicted in FIG. 1, comprises of a closure means comprising at least two flexible sheets 1, 2. The portion of the sheet near edges 3 is substantially flat wherein the two sheets are hinged/attached at one of the edges 4. The sheets are disposed over each other so as to form a cavity because of the respective protrusions 5 and 6 in the first and second sheet to receive the product package 7. The first sheet 1 comprises of a pin like provision 8 provided on the deformed surface. The second sheet 2 comprises of a provision 9 provided corresponding to the said pin like provision of the same first sheet to removably receive the said pin like provision. The said package is provided with openings 10 and 11 corresponding to the said pin like provisions. The second sheet further is provided with support 10 for the product package 7. Grooves 12 and 13 are provided on both the sheets so as to provide grip for holding the system. The disposition of the said sheets is such that when the sheets are placed over each other with the product package placed in the cavity between the said sheets, the said pin like provision of the first sheet engages with the said counterpart 9 on the sheet 2. To access the package, one has to press (apply pressure) the two sheets at the said grooves from the edges inwards so that the pressure results in bulging of the said sheets resulting in disengaging the said provisions and further facilitating access to the product package by moving (rotating) the said first sheet around the said hinged edge 4. Yet another variant of this configuration is depicted in FIG. 1a. It comprises of a base 60 for holding the package 63. The base is provided with tracks 62 wherein the stifferners 65 of the package are engaged. The package is further engaged with the base with the snap 61 that is adapted to fit in the package. In operation package has to be disengaged from the said snap and further moved so as to disengage the stifferners of the package from the said tracks.

In another configuration, the packages is encased and engaged in the closure means wherein the package has to be moved out of the said closure but is still in the engaged with the closure. FIG. 2 depicts another embodiment of the invention. This configuration comprises of closure and the engagement provision for the package. In operation the package partially pulled/moved out of the said closure but is still in the engaged with the closure. The package system comprises of first sheet 1 provided with supporting ribs 2, 3 as shown in the Figure. The second sheet 4 is the top cover, it comprises of two engaging members in the form of pegs indicated in the figure as 5, 6 on the inner surface. The package 7 is provided with slots 8, 9 corresponding to the said pegs 5, 6. The profile of the slots is a combination of a straight slot parallel to one of the edges and an inclined slot corresponding to the said pegs 5, 6. The pegs lock the package, that is restrict movement of the package. To access the package one has to apply pressure on the pegs wherein the said pegs upon application of the pressure spring in and align with the said straight slot of the package to disengage the package allowing it to slide out of the sheets. Another variant of this configuration is depicted in FIG. 2a. It comprises of hard case 80 and the package 81. A cap 82 is engaged with the case. The snaps 83 are the engaging members for the cap. Slots 85 are provided in the package for the engagement with the cap. In operation the user has to press the said snaps to disengage the cap from the case to access package and the product. Yet another variant is depicted in FIG. 2b. The top and bottom surfaces of the closure have slots 90, 91 which allows a certain portion of the surface (92) to bend outward in one direction. Once the surface is bent out wards by applying pressure from bottom, the blister pack 95 is seen and in this position it can be pulled out for dispensing. Yet another variant is depicted in FIG. 2c. In this configuration the blister 100 is housed in a case 101 which is open from one of the longer sides. The blister pack 100 inside the said case is engaged around a pivot 102 on one of the edges and slides out in an arc. The bottom half of the case has buttons 103 with snaps corresponding to the slots on the blister pack. In operation, the buttons are simultaneously pressed from bottom to release the lock and blister has to be pivotaly rotated around the said pivot 102.

In another configuration the package comprises of an flexible edge portion adapted to removably engage in the provision provided in the closure wherein the package is not required to be separated from the said closure; further in one of the variants of this configurations, the package is permanently engaged with the closure and application of force is necessary to access the product from the package. FIG. 3 depicts one of the embodiments of the configuration. The package system comprises of closure 8, package 1 and the engaging member 3 of the package as indicated in FIG. 3(a) in the form of assembly. The package is encased in the closure as seen in the figure. As shown in the FIG. 3 (b), the package, preferably blister package but not limited to it is provided with an engaging provision 3 protruding in the same plane of the package from one of the edges of the package. The said engaging member is substantially flat having one of the tapered edge diverting away from the edge of the package wherein out of the two edges substantially perpendicular to the said diverting edge, one indicated as 15 in the figure is greater than the other thus almost forming an inverted L shaped lamina. As seen in the FIG. 3 (b) the closure 8 comprises of top sheet 9 and bottom sheet 10 wherein the top sheet is deformed so as to create cavity to receive the package. Further, provision 11 and 12 is made in the sheets 9 and 12 respectively to removably engage part of the product package. The said edge 15 of the said provision 3 engages the package in the provisions formed by 11 and 12 in the sheets. This is best seen in FIG. 3 (a). The substantially flat portion 13 towards the side of the top sheet is attached/glued/fixed with the corresponding portion 14 of the bottom sheet 10 as shown in the FIG. 3 (b). In operation one has to first press the said provision 3 of the package to disengage the package from the provision formed in 11 and 12 in the sheets followed by sliding the package to access the package and thereby product. Thus combination capability is necessary to access the package and product. One of the variants of this configuration is depicted in FIG. 3c. The blister 70 is housed in plastic envelop 71 provided with engaging provision 73. The engaging provision is to be unfolded and further application of force as shown in the figure by arrows results in creating a gap for dispense of the product from the package. Yet another variant of this embodiment is depicted in the FIG. 3d. The package system comprises of closure 80, package 81 and the engaging members 82 and 82 of the package as indicated in FIG. 3(d) in the form of assembly. The package is encased in the closure as seen in the figure. As shown in the FIG. 3 (d), the package, preferably blister package but not limited to it is provided with at least two engaging provisions 82 and 83 protruding in the same plane of the package from one of the edges of the package. Each of the said engaging members is substantially flat having one of the tapered edge diverting away from the edge of the package wherein out of the two edges substantially perpendicular to the said diverting edge, one indicated as 85 in the figure is greater than the other thus almost forming an inverted L shaped lamina. The closure comprises of two halves 86 and 87 adapted to fit with each other. One of the ends of the said halves is provided with an opening for the said engaging provisions. The end opposite to the said end is provided with locking zones 88 and 89 that are of the shape of the said engaging provisions. In operation user has to press the said engaging provisions and slide the said package to take it out of the said closure. The said engaging provisions rest/lock in the said locking zones of the said closure avoiding the package entirely coming out of the said closure.

FIG. 4 depicts yet another embodiment of the package system. FIG. 4(a) depicts assembly of the system. It comprises of closure 1 and package 2 encased in the said closure. The said package is preferably a blister package but not limited to it. FIG. 4(b) indicates front view of the package system. The said closure 1 comprises of first sheet 3 and second sheet assembly 4 wherein the said second sheet assembly 4 comprises of the front sheet provided with one or plurality of openings 6 preferably in the elliptical/oval/flat oval form adapted to receive thermoformed portion of the blister package as shown in the FIG. 4(b) wherein the said thermoformed portion rests on side of the said opening thus engaging the product package with the sheet of the said closure. The back sheet 8 that corresponds to the closure of the blister package is indicated in the FIG. 4 (c). It comprises of one or plurality of perforations 7 disposed such that they are aligned to the opposite side of the said openings 6. In operation one has to slide/move the blister package such that the thermoformed portion that was resting on one of the sides of the said opening 6 is moved towards opposite end. In this position, the closure of the blister corresponds/aligns with the said perforations of the back sheet 8. Stopping provision 9 is provided at the joining of the two sheets so as to restrict blister movement. The product in the blister can be accessed by pressing the thermoformed portion of the blister that results in dispense of the product by piercing the corresponding perforated portion of the back sheet 8. Thus accession of the product from the product package requires combination capability.

Yet another embodiment is depicted in FIG. 5. The closure 90 is in the form of a flexible pouch. The package 91 is engaged in the said closure. Further, the closure is provided with locking arrangement in the form of a flap 92 on one of the surfaces that is removably attachable to the provision 93. In operation the user has to first remove/dislodge the flap and then press the closure in the direction 95 inwards so as to disengage the package and further slide the same outwards to access the product.

In another embodiment a sensing means in the form of embedded system is adapted to fit on the said package system. The said sensing means comprises of signal generating provision/s, data processing means, data logging and storing means configured with a communication means an optional communication switch, a power source, optional audio signal generating means, an oscillator (Real time clock) wherein the said signal generating means gets activated upon disengaging the said package from the closure. The activation of the signal generating provision may be done by various means such as electronic, mechanical, optical, visual. In a specific embodiment, visual display and the audio signal generating means is provided to alert the user of the time and date of the products to be consumed and also provides quantitative information about the number of products in the package. As the user disengages the package from the closure a signal from the said signal generating provision is sent to the said data processing means wherein the time & date of product dispensed is logged into the data logging provision of the said data processing means. Using the optional communication feature, the user may transfer the logged data to an external device by optionally embedded the communication switch.

In one of the variants of this embodiment said logged data in the said data processing is transferred/transmitted via communication means to an external device/s with the aid of RF-wherein the said logged data to be transferred is superimposed on the RF field, generated by the RF circuit. In yet another variant of this embodiment the said logged data in the said data processing means is transferred/transmitted via communication means to the said external device/s using an IR link wherein the said logged data to be transferred is in the form of coded pulses or frequency. In yet another variant of this embodiment the said logged data in the said data processing means is transferred/transmitted via communication means to the said companion device through wired and/or any direct contact methods such as I2C, SPI, serial or parallel communication but not limited to these. In yet another variant of this embodiment the data is transferred using wireless communication means such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zeegbee, Wi-Max, GPRS, GSM, Wibree but not limited to it.

In one of the embodiment of the package system, a uniquely identifiable information and for combination of information is provided on the package. In another embodiment unique identifying information is provided on the product package and/or closure.

In yet another embodiment at least two sets of identification information is provided on the product package and/or closure wherein the identity of the product package is verified to authenticate the same by providing the package with at least two sets of identification information comprising a first set of identification information and a second set of identification information, wherein at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information is arranged on or incorporated within a different surface, side or plane of the package, with respect to at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information, thereby adapting the package to be identified, wherein said at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information and said at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information are arranged at a fixed relative spatial position with respect to each other, said fixed relative spatial position being used to derive a signature for identifying the package;

In one of the embodiments the identification information may comprise an identification layer in which, at least in part, a plurality of randomly distributed particles is present. The randomly distributed particles may comprise a material that displays one or more consistently measurable physical properties, such as magnetic field strength, capacitance or conductance wherein “randomly distributed particles” includes voids, bubbles, or magnetic domains with a continuous material, or regions of varying reflectivity, or electrical properties.

In another embodiment the product package is provided with an identification tag for identifying the package for authentication. The tag comprises at least two sets of identification information, said at least two sets of identification information comprising a first set of identification information and a second set of identification information each arranged within a different surface, side or plane of the identification tag, and identification features of said first set of identification information and identification features of said second set of identification information are arranged at a fixed relative spatial position with respect to each other, said fixed spatial relationship being used for identifying the object.

The identifiers may be present in a tag on the product package. One identifier may comprise a readable layer of randomly distributed material which is capable of encoding identification information, for example a conductive material, magnetized or magnetisable material, semiconductive particle and optically active particles. The second identifier suitably comprises optical information, for example a 1-D or 2-D bar code.

In yet another embodiment at least two sets of identification information is provided on the product package and/or package holding provision. In another variant of this embodiment unique identifying information is suitably included on the package in the form of oriented or orientable particles and may relate to for example, the manufacturer of the package or to an individual. Preferably the identification information comprises information derived from a magnetic field and/or an electric field and optionally optical or magneto-optical information.

In a preferred embodiment, the product package suitably comprises a substantially non-magnetic host material having pores, wherein at least some of the pores contain a substantially magnetic material which is codable to encode identification information for identifying the product package or a unit dose package. The product package may comprise a substantially electrically-insulating host material having pores, wherein at least some of the pores contain a substantially electrically-conducting material which is codable to encode identification information for identifying the unit dose package. Desirably, the electrically-conducting material is connectable to a voltage source.

In yet another embodiment the identification information is encoded and preferably is optical, electronic, magnetic or a combination thereof.

In yet another embodiment nano/micro particulate materials and/or material composites with measurable material metrics are used on the package for identification information.

In yet another embodiment a reader device comprising reader means is provided to identify and read the unique identification information on the said package.

In yet another embodiment the packaged-product system is provided with a means to detect disengagement of the package from the closure to monitor and/or record of package and/or product access from the package system. In another variant of this embodiment the package system is provided with a wired/wireless communication means capable of interacting with external/remote device/s.

Thus it is evident from the invention that the synergistic combination of a closure means provided with engaging provisions adapted to removably receive and engage package wherein combination of multiple operations is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure provides restricted product access system.

Claims

1. A child access restricted packaged-product system comprising

a closure means provided with engaging member/s adapted to removably receive and engage a package wherein combination of multiple operations is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure; package with a provision to removably receive the said engaging member's optionally provided with a uniquely identifiable information
an optional sensing means provided in the said closure to sense the presence of the package.

2. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 1 wherein the packaged-product system comprises of

closure comprising first sheet provided with supporting ribs, second sheet comprising two engaging members in the form of pegs on the inner surface;
package provided with slots corresponding to the said pegs, wherein profile of the slots is a combination of a straight slot parallel to one of the edges and an inclined slot corresponding to the said pegs wherein the pegs lock the package, that is restrict movement of the package wherein to access the package one has to apply pressure on the pegs wherein the said pegs upon application of the pressure spring in and align with the said straight slot of the package to disengage the package allowing it to slide out of the sheets.

3. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the packaged-product system comprises of

closure; package provided with an engaging provision protruding in the same plane of the package from one of the edges of the package wherein the said engaging member is substantially flat having one of the tapered edge diverting away from the edge of the package wherein out of the two edges substantially perpendicular to the said diverting edge forming an inverted L shaped lamina;
the closure comprises of top sheet and bottom sheet optionally hinged together wherein the top sheet is deformed so as to form a cavity to receive the package, the said sheets are provided with openings so as to removably receive the said engaging member of the package; wherein in operation one has to first press the said engaging member of the package to disengage the package from the openings formed in the sheets followed by sliding the package to access the package and thereby product.

4. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 3 wherein the said closure is provide with locking provision in the form of a cavity corresponding to the shape of the said engaging member opposite to the end of the said opening to lock the said package and restrict the movement of the said package wherein in operation one has to first press the said engaging member of the package to disengage the package from the openings formed in the sheets followed by sliding the package to access the package and thereby product.

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 1 wherein the said sensing means is operably connected in the said provided closure in the form of a pressable switch configured with power source and audio/visual/sensory means, when the package is engaged with the said engaging member in the said closure the said pressable switch is pressed wherein upon removing the package from the said rest position at the time of consuming the product in the package, the said switch is depressed resulting in providing audio/visual/sensory indication to the user so as to remind him/her of repositioning the said package in the said closure to render child resistant state.

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 5 wherein the said sensing means comprises of signal generating provision's, data processing means, data logging and storing means configured with a communication means an optional communication switch, a power source, optional audio signal generating means, an oscillator (Real time clock) wherein the said signal generating means gets activated upon disengaging the said package from the closure;

wherein activation of the signal generating provision is done by means such as electronic, mechanical, optical, visual wherein upon disengagement of the package from the closure, a signal from the said signal generating provision is sent to the said data processing means wherein the time & date of product dispensed is logged into the data logging provision of the said data processing means
wherein
the said logged data in the said data processing is transferred/transmitted via communication means to an external device's with the aid of RF, IRlink, wired and/or any direct contact methods such as I2C, SPI, serial or parallel communication.

7. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 1 wherein the identity of the product package is verified to authenticate the same by providing the package with at least two sets of identification information comprising a first set of identification information and a second set of identification information, wherein at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information is arranged on or incorporated within a different surface, side or plane of the package, with respect to at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information, thereby adapting the package to be identified, wherein said at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information and said at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information are arranged at a fixed relative spatial position with respect to each other, said fixed relative spatial position being used to derive a signature for identifying the package

wherein one of the sets of said identification information comprises an identification layer in which, at least in part, a plurality of randomly distributed particles is present, comprising the randomly distributed particles may comprise a material that displays one or more consistently measurable physical properties, such as magnetic field strength, capacitance or conductance wherein “randomly distributed particles” includes voids, bubbles, or magnetic domains with a continuous material, or regions of varying reflectivity, or electrical properties.

8. A child access restricted packaged-product system wherein the packaged-product system comprises of a closure means comprising first and second flexible sheets provided with protruded surfaces hinged together

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 8 wherein the identity of the product package is verified to authenticate the same by providing the package with at least two sets of identification information comprising a first set of identification information and a second set of identification information, wherein at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information is arranged on or incorporated within a different surface, side or plane of the package, with respect to at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information, thereby adapting the package to be identified, wherein said at least one identification feature of the first set of identification information and said at least one identification feature of the second set of identification information are arranged at a fixed relative spatial position with respect to each other, said fixed relative spatial position being used to derive a signature for identifying the package

wherein one of the sets of said identification information comprises an identification layer in which, at least in part, a plurality of randomly distributed particles is present, comprising the randomly distributed particles may comprise a material that displays one or more consistently measurable physical properties, such as magnetic field strength, capacitance or conductance wherein “randomly distributed particles” includes voids, bubbles, or magnetic domains with a continuous material, or regions of varying reflectivity, or electrical properties.

10. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 8 wherein the packaged-product system comprises of

closure comprising first sheet provided with supporting ribs, second sheet comprising two engaging members in the form of pegs on the inner surface;
package provided with slots corresponding to the said pegs wherein profile of the slots is a combination of a straight slot parallel to one of the edges and an inclined slot corresponding to the said pegs wherein the pegs lock the package, that is restrict movement of the package wherein to access the package one has to apply pressure on the pegs wherein the said pegs upon application of the pressure spring in and align with the said straight slot of the package to disengage the package allowing it to slide out of the sheets.

11. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 8 wherein a sensing means is operably connected in the said provided closure in the form of a pressable switch configured with power source and audio/visual/sensory means, when the package is engaged with the said engaging member in the said closure the said pressable switch is pressed wherein upon removing the package from the said rest position at the time of consuming the product in the package, the said switch is depressed resulting in providing audio/visual/sensory indication to the user so as to remind him/her of repositioning the said package in the said closure to render child resistant state.

12. A child access restricted packaged-product system wherein the package comprises of a flexible edge portion adapted to removably engage in a provision provided in the closure wherein the closure is provided with a means to lock the said package so as to restrict separation of the package from the closure at the time of product access.

13. A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the packaged-product system comprises of

closure; package provided with an engaging provision protruding in the same plane of the package from one of the edges of the package wherein the said engaging member is substantially flat having one of the tapered edge diverting away from the edge of the package wherein out of the two edges substantially perpendicular to the said diverting edge forming an inverted L shaped lamina;
the closure comprises of top sheet and bottom sheet optionally hinged together wherein the top sheet is deformed so as to form a cavity to receive the package, the said sheets are provided with openings so as to removably receive the said engaging member of the package; wherein in operation one has to first press the said engaging member of the package to disengage the package from the openings formed in the sheets followed by sliding the package to access the package and thereby product.

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the said sensing means is operably connected in the said provided closure in the form of a pressable switch configured with power source and audio/visual/sensory means, when the package is engaged with the said engaging member in the said closure the said pressable switch is pressed wherein upon removing the package from the said rest position at the time of consuming the product in the package, the said switch is depressed resulting in providing audio/visual/sensory indication to the user so as to remind him/her of repositioning the said package in the said closure to render child resistant state.

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the said closure is provide with locking provision in the form of a cavity corresponding to the shape of the said engaging member opposite to the end of the said opening to lock the said package and restrict the movement of the said package wherein in operation one has to first press the said engaging member of the package to disengage the package from the openings formed in the sheets followed by sliding the package to access the package and thereby product.

17. A child access restricted packaged-product system wherein the packaged-product system comprises of closure,

package that is encased in the said closure wherein the said closure comprises of first sheet and second sheet assembly;
wherein the first sheet is provided with one or plurality of profiled cuts having major and minor axis to form open portion so as to receive thermoformed portion of the blister package;
wherein
the package is placed between the said first and second sheet such that the said thermoformed portion is aligned with one of the ends of the major axis, end 1 of the said profiled cut wherein the package is slidable between the said two sheets upon application of shear force in the direction opposite to end 1 along the said major axis,
the second sheet comprising one or plurality of perforations disposed such that they are aligned to the opposite end said end 1 of the said major axis of the said cut portions of the first sheet; package.

A child access restricted packaged-product system as claimed in claim 17 wherein the said sensing means is operably connected in the said provided closure in the form of a pressable switch configured with power source and audio/visual/sensory means, when the package is engaged with the said engaging member in the said closure the said pressable switch is pressed wherein upon removing the package from the said rest position at the time of consuming the product in the package, the said switch is depressed resulting in providing audio/visual/sensory indication to the user so as to remind him/her of repositioning the said package in the said closure to render child resistant state.

A child access restricted packaged-product system comprising a closure means provided with engaging member/s adapted to removably receive and engage a package wherein combination of multiple operations is necessary to access the product by disengaging the package from the said closure; package with a provision to removably receive the said engaging member/s optionally provided with a uniquely identifiable information

wherein there is provided a means to detect disengagement of the package from the closure to monitor and/or record of package and/or product access from the package system, wherein the package system is provided with a wired/wireless communication means capable of interacting with external/remote device/s.

21. A child access restricted packaged-product system wherein the package system comprises of closure in the form of a flexible pouch, package that is engaged in the said closure wherein the closure is provided with locking arrangement in the form of a flap on one of the surfaces wherein the said flap is removably attachable to the provision on the other surface of the said pouch.

22. A child access restricted packaged-product system comprising a package;

a package closure in the form of tray like structure comprising a pivot in which the package is pivotably engaged wherein the said package is adapted to pivotally fit in the said pivot, a base in the form of a substantial flat lamina wherein package is positioned on the said base such that the rupturable portion of the package is in contact with the said base, raised portions at the edges on consecutive length and breadth of the said base wherein substantially perpendicular faces of these portions act to limit the movement of the package in one of the directions wherein the said raised portion is adapted to fit a reciprocable member wherein the said base is provided with a protruded portion below the said reciprocable member such that the package edge press fits between the said raised portion and the reciprocable member, a stopper in the form of a rotatable member at one of the corners of the base
wherein the member is rotatable around the bottom portion that is attached/integrated with the base of the said closure;
wherein in operation, user has to pull the said reciprocating member and further rotate the said member to disengage and rotate the package in horizontal plan substantially parallel to the said base around pivot wherein the package slides over the said base and is in a position wherein user can access the product.
