More or Less video poker is a simple, yet fun variation of the basic video poker game. When a player has 3 of a Kind and the remaining 2 cards either “add” or “subtract” to equal the same number as the 3 of a Kind, you then have a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand. Example 1—Cards—4/4/4/7/3 This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 4's and the 7 subtract 3 equals 4. Example 2—Cards—10/10/10/8/2 This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 10's and the 8 add 2 equals 10. As a bonus on the next hand following a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand (provided it has a winning outcome) the player will qualify for a “multiplier payoff” matching the prior hands 3 of a Kind face card number. BACKGROUND/STATE OF ART 1. The Video Poker Game:

Video poker is so called because usually one player plays against a machine (the house) which displays the player's cards on a screen. The player places a bet and is dealt 5 cards from a standard 52 card pack. The player has one opportunity to discard any number of unwanted cards (1-5) and is dealt an equal number of replacement cards from the same deck. If the player then has a sufficiently good poker hand, the house pays the player according to a fixed scale of odds according to the type of hand. Sufficiently good often means a pair of Jacks or better—if the final hand is worse than the minimum qualifying winning hand as set for that individual game then the bet is lost to the house. The exact odds offered and the minimum winning hands vary from game to game.

FIELD OF INVENTION/OBJECTS & SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION 2. More or Less Video Poker

More or Less video poker is a simple, yet fun variation of the basic video poker game . . . with 2 twists.

Twist I.

When a player has 3 of a Kind and the remaining 2 cards either “add” or “subtract” to equal the same number as the 3 of a Kind, you then have a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand.

Example 1—Cards—4/4/4/7/3

This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 4's and the 7 subtract 3 equals 4.

Example 2—Cards—10/10/10/8/2

This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 10's and the 8 add 2 equals 10.

Twist II.

As a bonus on the next hand following a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand (provided it has a winning outcome) the player will qualify for a “multiplier payoff” matching the prior hands 3 of a Kind face card number.

EXAMPLE 1 Player has a Winning More or Less 4 of a Kind Hand of

Cards—4/4/4/7/3

This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 4's and the 7 subtract 3 equals 4—bonus pay on next hand would be 4× on any winning hands.

Example 2—Player has a winning More or Less 4 of a Kind hand of:

Cards—10/10/10/8/2

This is a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand—the 3 of a Kind are 10's and the 8 add 2 equals 10—bonus pay on next hand would be 10× on any winning hands.

3. Rules:

When a player has 3 of a Kind and the remaining 2 cards either “add” or “subtract” to equal the same number as the 3 of a Kind, you then have a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand,

All numerical cards are valued at their face value (i.e. 2=2, 3=3, 4=4, 5=5, 6=6, 7=7, 8=8, 9=9, 10=10),

Aces are valued at 1,

Kings, Queens and Jacks (Picture Cards) are not used in determining any More or Less winning hands,

3 of a Kind hands that qualify for a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hands are from Aces thru 10's,

Full House hands do not qualify in More or Less video poker as a More or Less 4 of a Kind, i.e. 4/4/4/2/2, they are paid as any Full House hands would,

More or Less uses Aces (A/A/A) in determining winning hands, i.e. A/A/A/10/9 or A/A/A/6/5 are More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hands—there is one exception, A/A/A/A/2 is not a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand rather a standard 4 of a Kind,

More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hands qualify the next hand (provided it has a winning outcome) with a “multiplier payoff” matching the prior hands 3 of a Kind face card number,

Players have to play a 6th coin to qualify for a More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hand,

More or Less has 60 winning hands.

4. More or Less Video Poker vs. Quick Quads Video Poker

Differences:

More or Less uses Ace thru 10/Quick Quads uses 2 thru 10,

More or Less adds and subtracts the two remaining non 3 of a Kind cards/Quick Quads only adds the two remaining non 3 of a Kind cards,

Full House hands do not qualify in More or Less video poker as a More or Less 4 of a Kind, i.e. 4/4/4/2/2, they are paid as any Full House hands would/Quick Quads does use Full House hands,

More or Less has 60 winning hands/Quick Quads has 25 winning hands,

More or Less 4 of a Kind winning hands qualify the next hand (provided it has a winning outcome) with a “multiplier payoff” matching the prior hands 3 of a Kind face card number/Quick Quads has no such feature.

Claims

1. Whereas, a player places a bet and is dealt 5 cards from a standard 52 card pack. The player has one opportunity to discard any number of unwanted cards (1-5) and is dealt an equal number of replacement cards from the same deck.
