Adjustable-disposable beverage thermal insulator

The adjustable-disposable beverage insulator is unique because of its ability to adjust, stick and re-stick to a wide range of beverage bottles and cans. It is made of extruded polyfoam with a repositionable seal attached to the insulator; one side of the tape seal is permanent while the other is repositionable tape. This allows the user to adjust to the size of the beverage they choose. Its main function is to keep beverage bottles, glasses and cans cold while its adjustability makes it perfect to adapt to all sizes of bottles, cans and glasses. This may be used several times before the insulator is thrown away.

Description

I claim priority to the provisional patent application No. 61/273,453.

The adjustable-disposable insulator is made of extruded polyfoam. Corrugated micro-flute could be used as well, but the extruded polyfoam offers a much greater insulator and is resistant to water based beverage products which serves a better purpose for the beverage industry market. The extruded polyfoam adjustable-disposable insulator is 3¾ inched in height, 11 inches long and ⅛ inch thick. Attached to one end is the repositionable tape seal. One side of the tape seal is permanent tape that will never detach, while the opposite side has the repositionable tape. This allows the user to adjust and readjust the seal many times to different size beverages containers of their choice once the extended tape liner is removed from the repositionable tape seal. The adjustable-disposable beverage thermal insulator comes in a variety of colors, and may be printed, embossed, die-cut, laminated or labeled for advertising purposes. The 11 inch length even allows application on tapered glasses, no tolerance on small size beverage containers, and up to 3½ inch diameter for larger beverage bottles, cans and glasses.

MATERIALS

1. Extruded polyfoam

2. Permanent/repositionable tape

3. Extended tab liner

OPTIONAL MATERIALS

1. Polyfoam

2. Corrugated micro flute cardboard

SUMMARY

There are a lot of beverage insulators on the market, and they all serve the same purpose: to keep a beverage cold or hot. They are used for cups, cans and bottles, (even made to fit wine glasses). Each one fits a certain style beverage container,

We design the adjustable-disposable to cross over and fit most bottles, cans and glasses allowing a tighter fit for the user with the application of the repositionable seal that will adjust to variety of different size containers. The adjustable-disposable insulator may be reused several times before disposing. Simply remove the extended tape liner form the repositionable seal and the adjustable-disposable insulator is ready for use!

BRIEF SPECIFICATION DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING #1

Shown here in the grey area is ½″ repositionable tape seal attached to adjustable-disposable beverage insulator. Beverage insulator is 11.0 inches long, 3.75 inches in height ,and ⅛ inch in thickness, and made of extruded poly foam.

BRIEF SPECIFICATION DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING #2

Looking down at the adjustable-disposable beverage insulator wrapped around beverage container with repositionable tape seal and attached removable tab liner still intact before use shown in Drawing #2.

Claims

1. I claim the adjustable beverage insulator is unique because of its ability to adjust to a wide range of sizes; bottle beverages, can beverages and glasses, while it acts as an insulator for such beverages to keep them hot or cold: It serves one unique purpose: one size that adjusts to fit all by the application of the repositionable tape seal, which allows the user to stick, un-stick and re-stick many times before disposing of the product. The extended liner on the repositionable tape seal acts as protection to guarantee a quality seal of the adjustable-disposable beverage insulator before use.
