Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The invention relates to wheeled luggage and more particularly to such a wheeled luggage made of heavy paper pulp based board and being foldable.

2. Description of Related Art

One popular conventional type of wheeled luggage has a main body made of hard plastic. It has the advantages of being durable and capable of storing or carrying a relatively heavy load.

However, the well known plastic wheeled luggage cases are not environmentally friendly in disposal after, for example, being discarded. Thus, the need for improvement still exists.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a wheeled luggage made of heavy paper pulp based board and being foldable.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of wheeled luggage according to the invention; and

FIG. 2 is a view similar to FIG. 1 where a top panel being open.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a wheeled luggage in accordance with the invention comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.

A main body 1 is made of heavy paper pulp based board. For example, the main body 1 is made of a corrugate paperboard having a textile (e.g., either textile of natural fibers or artificial fibers) or plastic surface in order to increase its structural strength and allow a pattern to be printed thereon.

The main body 1 is foldable and comprises a top panel 11 which can be open along one edge for articles recess. The four sides of the main body 1 can be folded.

Two spaced wells 5 are formed on a bottom edge of the main body 1. Two wheels 3 are provided in each well 5. Three recesses 2 are also provided on the bottom edge of the main body 1 in which the second recess 2 is disposed between the wells 5, the first recess 2 is disposed to the left of one well 5, and the third recess 2 is disposed to the right of the other well 5.

An axle 4 has one end rotatably disposed at left side of the main body 1 and passes through the first recess 2 the first set of two wheels 3, the second recess 2, the second set of two wheels 3, and the third recess 2 to have its other end rotatably disposed at right side of the main body 1.

The main body 1 further comprises a handle panel 7 extending from a front top edge. On the handle panel 7 there are provided a first opening 6 proximate to one end, a second opening 9 proximate to the other end, and an elastic strap 8 formed therebetween. For example, a plastic water bottle may be fastened by the elastic strap 8. A person may insert his or her hand into either one of the first and second openings 6, 9 for lifting or wheeling the luggage. Preferably, the wheels 3 are made of heavy paper pulp based board.

While the invention herein disclosed has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
