TOOL CABINET
A tool cabinet has a hollow body and a hanging assembly. The hanging assembly is mounted on one side wall of the body and has a connecting board and two suspending rods. The connecting board is mounted securely on the side wall. The suspending rods are mounted securely and parallelly on the connecting board. Each suspending rod has a U-shaped cross section and has a base plate, two wings and multiple hanging holes. The wings are respectively formed on and protrude from the sides of the base plate toward the body. The hanging holes are defined in the base plate, and each hanging hole aligns with one of the hanging holes in the other suspending rod. Accordingly, multiple tool racks with tools mounted thereon can be hung between the suspending rods, such that the space for holding tools on the tool cabinet is enlarged.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a tool cabinet, and more particularly to a tool cabinet having at least one hanging assembly to hold tools on a side wall of the tool cabinet.
2. Description of Related Art
A tool cabinet is used to hold and store tools to allow a user use the tools conveniently. A conventional tool cabinet has a hollow body and multiple drawers mounted slidably in the body to hold tools in the drawers. However, the convention tool cabinet can only store and hold tools in the drawers but does not have additional space for holding or hanging tools, so the space of the conventional tool cabinet for holding tools is insufficient to fit with different needs of users.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a tool cabinet having at least one hanging assembly to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe main objective of the invention is to provide a tool cabinet having at least one hanging assembly to enlarge the space for hanging tools on the tool cabinet. The tool cabinet has a hollow body and a hanging assembly. The hanging assembly is mounted on one side wall of the body and has a connecting board and two suspending rods. The connecting board is mounted securely on the side wall of the body. The suspending rods are mounted securely and parallelly on the connecting board. Each suspending rod has a U-shaped cross section and has a base plate, two wings and multiple hanging holes. The base plate has two sides. The wings are respectively formed on and protrude from the sides of the base plate toward the side wall of the body. The hanging holes are defined in the base plate, and each hanging hole aligns with one of the hanging holes in the other suspending rod.
Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
With reference to
The at least one hanging assembly (20) is mounted on at least one of the side walls of the body (10). Preferably, the tool cabinet has a single hanging assembly (20) mounted on one side wall of the body (10) or two hanging assemblies (20) mounted respectively on two side walls of the body (10). Each hanging assembly (20) has a connecting board (22) and two suspending rods (24).
The connecting board (22) is mounted securely on a corresponding side wall of the body (10) near the top of the body (10). Alternatively, the connecting board (22) may be mounted on a middle portion of the side wall, To mount the connecting board (22) securely to the body (10), the body (10) has multiple threaded holes (102) defined in the side wall of the body (10). The connecting board (22) has through holes (222) defined through the connecting board (22) and aligning respectively with the threaded holes (102) in the side wall of the body (10). Multiple bolts (23) are mounted respectively through the through holes (222) in the connecting board (22) and are screwed respectively into the threaded holes (102) in the side wall of the body (10) to mount the connecting board (22) securely on the side wall of the body (10). In practice, the threaded holes (102) are implemented to mount the handle on the body (10). After the handle being detached from the body (10), the connecting board (22) is mounted on the body (10) with the threaded holes (222) and the bolts (23). Accordingly, to additionally define the threaded holes (102) in the body (10) is unnecessary, and to mount the hanging assembly (20) onto the body (10) is easy and convenient.
The suspending rods (24) are mounted securely on the connecting board (22) and are parallel with each other. Preferably, the connecting board (22) is connected to the tops of the suspending rods (24). Alternatively, the connecting board (22) may be connected to middle portions of the suspending rods (24).
To mount the suspending rods (24) on the connecting board (22), the connecting board (22) has multiple threaded holes (224) defined in the connecting board (22), and the suspending rods (24) have multiple through holes (242). The through holes (242) are defined in the suspending rods (24) and align respectively with the threaded holes (224) in the connecting board (22). Multiple bolts (28) are mounted respectively through the through holes (242) in the suspending rods (24) and are screwed respectively into the threaded holes (224) in the connecting board (22) to mount the suspending rods (24) securely on the connecting board (22).
Each suspending rod (24) has a U-shaped cross section and comprises a base plate (25), two wings (252) and multiple hanging holes (26). The base plate (25) has two sides, and the wings (252) are respectively formed on and protrude from the sides of the base plate (25) toward the side wall of the body (10).
The hanging holes (26) are defined in the base plate (25), are arranged in a line along the suspending rod (24) and may be rectangular, and each hanging hole (25) aligning with one of the hanging holes (25) in the other suspending rod (24).
