SIMPLE LEAF-TYPE FOLDING FRAME

A simple leaf-type folding frame is bent into a fully U-shaped lamella. A slot is formed between the front-side lamella and rear-side lamella, where a lamella, such as a perpetual calendar card, a photo, a product label or the like, may be inserted for combination. Especially, the rear-side lamella is cut to form at least one pair of inner and outer cut grooves that are symmetrical to each other. The inner cut groove is formed in the coverage of outer cut groove. Thus, the inner cut groove may be used to pull half a cut joint flake so that the joint flake may be turned and folded in a reverse direction to sustain a sidewall of the rear-side lamella, thereby a 3D folding frame being formed.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a folding frame and particularly to a simple leaf-type folding frame.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

A conventional frame that, for example, is used for a photo, a perpetual calendar, a product label, a post-and-rank card and the like is a frame base that is generally made of a rigid acryl and structured with a slant stand side and a bottom side that may be placed the basal plane of a table. Alternatively, another conventional frame base is formed with a support foldable that is pulled up for achievement of a standing frame. It costs very much to manufacture the conventional frames mentioned above, and the frame provided with a standing support easily topples because not standing securely.

Consequently, because of the technical defects of described above, the applicant keeps on carving unflaggingly through wholehearted experience and research to develop the present invention, which can effectively improve the defects described above.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention is mainly to provide a simple leaf-type folding frame that is bent into a U-shaped structure. Inner and outer cut grooves on a rear-side flake are used for reverse folding and orientation, and then a 3D folding frame may be fast formed where a random-shaped lamella, such as a perpetual calendar card, a photo, a product label or the like, may be inserted for combination. The whole structure is very simple and light, thin in physical volume before being unfolded, it is extremely easy to use and pack or collect the frame, the frame stands securely after being unfolded, and the cost of manufacturing is very low.

This invention is further to provide the simple leaf-type folding frame of which the inner and outer cut grooves are formed with two ends, each of which is formed with a long strip of aperture, such as a long oval-shaped aperture, which communicates with a cut groove. Thus, when the joint flake is turned out, the end may be prevented from splitting for assurance of the joint flake that cannot crack and be broken after turning up.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Now, the present invention will be described more specifically with reference to the following embodiments. It is to be noted that the following descriptions of preferred embodiments of this invention are presented herein for purpose of illustration and description only; it is not intended to be exhaustive or to be limited to the precise form disclosed.

As shown in FIG. 1, a simple leaf-type folding frame according to this invention is formed with a U-shaped lamina 1 having a front-side lamina 11 and a rear-side lamina 12. A slot 13 of which the gap is adequate is formed between the front-side lamella 11 and rear-side lamella 12 of the U-shaped lamella 1. The rear-side lamella 12 is cut to form at least one pair of inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 that are symmetrical to each other. The inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 are distributed to match with each other. The inner cut groove 121 is formed in the coverage of outer cut groove 122 and thus the inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 are formed. Thus, the inner cut groove 121 may be used to pull half a cut joint flake 123 so that the joint flake 123 may be turned and folded in a reverse direction to sustain a sidewall 124 of the rear-side lamella 12, as shown in FIG. 2, or flexibly support a lamella inserted into the slot 13; the lamella may be flexibly supported by means of the two pairs of turned and folded joint flake 123 for fear of falling. Accordingly, a 3D folding frame is formed that may be unfolded to stand securely and balance, as shown in FIG. 3.

The inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 may be distributed in U shape that correspond to each other so that the inner cut groove 121 may be used to pull outwards half the cut joint flake 123. Alternatively, the inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 may be various in shape, if any, but half the cut joint flake 123 may be pulled outwards. After the joint flake 123 is turned out, a 3D support portion 125 is formed so that the support portion 125 may help the folding frame stand.

A long strip of aperture A, such as a long oval-shaped aperture as shown in the figure, which communicates with each other are formed at the two ends of inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122, so when being turned up, the joint flake 123 may be prevented from suddenly splitting open that is caused by the turn-up of the end for assurance of the integrity of joint flake 123, after being turned up, and for prevention of the joint flake 123 from cracking and splitting.

The slot 13 between the front-side lamella 11 and rear-side lamella 12 is formed where a lamella, such as a perpetual calendar card, a photo, a product label or the like, may be inserted for combination so that the 3D folding frame may be used as a random frame without any limitation. Further, at least one end 14 of the U-shaped lamella 1 is bent, or alternatively in the figure illustrating the embodiment, the other end 15 is also bent to make a random lamella to be inserted securely.

Surely, depending on the requirements of use, the advertisement, trademark, symbol, character, or a random pattern may be further printed or transferred on a determined site of surface of the front-side lamella 11 for achievement of various demonstrations. Likewise, on the surface of rear-side lamella 12, an advertisement character, a trademark, a symbol, or a pattern may be printed.

In this invention, the U-shaped lamella 1 is not limited in the aspects of shape, size, and color; the shape of frame may be common rectangle and may also be round, oval, polygonal, or regularly or irregularly shaped, which may fully be replaced.

In an embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 that illustrates a single pair of inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122, the rear-side flake 12 of U-shaped lamella 1 is formed with only one single pair of inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 that are symmetrical to each other and the inner and outer cut grooves 121 and 122 thus match with each other; further, the inner cut groove 121 is formed in the coverage of outer cut groove 122 so that the inner cut groove 121 may be used to pull half a single joint flake 123 and may be turned and folded in a reverse direction for clamping, as shown in FIG. 6, and may be likewise unfolded to bring a 3D folding frame that may stand securely and balance.

The fully bent U-shaped lamella 1 is generally made of plastics and is preferably transparent in a color or no color. The front-side lamella 11 of U-shaped lamella 1 may be formed into a sealed surface or a surface on which one or more determined apertures 111, as shown in FIG. 7, for achievement of various requirements. For example, FIG. 7 illustrates the combination of a perpetual calendar, in which a plurality of apertures 111 are formed on a determined site of the front-side lamella 11 of U-shaped lamella 1 for insertion and combination of a lamella 2 on which a perpetual calendar is printed. Each aperture 111 may be corresponding to a site indicating Year, Month, Date, or Day on the perpetual calendar to show correct time when the perpetual calendar 2 shifts.

While the invention has been described in terms of what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention needs not be limited to the disclosed embodiment. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims which are to be accorded with the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures.
