SHOE LACE FLAP WITH GOLFING ACCESSORY HOLDERS

A set of shoe lace flaps with golfing accessory holders (1) that attach to new golf shoes (10) and cover the laces (9) of the golf shoes, thereby giving the appearance of vintage golf shoes. Each shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders has a set of apertures (8) on one end that allow a user to attach the shoe lace flap to a golf shoe by placing the laces of the golf shoe through the apertures. fringe is located on the opposite end of each shoe lace flap. In addition, each flap has a storage area (11) for storing a golf tee (12) and a storage area (15) for storing a golf ball marker. The storage areas allow a user to easily access a stored golf tee and/or golf ball marker while bending over to set up a tee shot and/or to mark a golf ball.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to golfing apparel, more particularly, to shoe lace flaps that attach to the laces of golf shoes to give the golf shoes a “retro” appearance and to provide storage for golf tees and/or golf ball markers.

Traditionally, golf shoes were made with lace flaps that were extensions of the tongues of the shoes. The flaps would extend upward from the tongues and fold over the laces of the golf shoes. In recent years, manufacturers have stopped producing golf shoes having built in lace flaps, thereby creating a market for used vintage golf shoes having lace flaps. However, the supply of such golf shoes is greatly limited. A further problem with golf shoes is that they do not provide any storage for golfing accessories, such as golf tees and/or golf ball markers.

Therefore, a need exists for shoe lace flaps that attach to the laces of golf shoes, thereby giving the golf shoes a vintage appearance and providing storage for golf tees and/or golf ball markers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap that is not only decorative, but also covers and protects shoe laces of a shoe from elements.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders that is removably attachable to the laces of a golf shoe.

An even further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders that has golfing accessory holders.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders that gives current golf shoes the appearance of vintage golf shoes.

An even further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders that provides storage areas for golfing accessories, such as golf tees and ball markers.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders in which storage areas for golfing accessories are easily accessible while a user is in a bent over or kneeling position.

The present invention fulfills the above and other objects by providing a set of shoe lace flaps that attach to new golf shoes and cover the laces of the golf shoes, thereby giving the appearance of vintage golf shoes. Each flap has a set of apertures on one end that allow a user to attach the flap to a golf shoe by placing the laces of the golf shoe through the apertures. Decorative fringe is located on the opposite end of each flap. In addition, each flap has a holding means for storing a golf tee and a holding means for storing a golf ball marker. The flap allows a user to easily access a stored golf tee and/or golf ball marker while bending over to set up a tee shot and/or to mark a golf ball.

The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention should become even more readily apparent to those skilled in the art upon a reading of the following detailed description in conjunction with the drawings wherein there is shown and described illustrative embodiments of the invention.

 DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

For purposes of describing the preferred embodiment, the terminology used in reference to the numbered accessories in the drawings is as follows:

With reference to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a top and bottom views of a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 of the present invention are shown. The shoe flap and golfing accessory holder 1 has an upper edge 2, lower edge 3, side edges 4, an upper surface 5 and a lower surface 6. Fringe 7 located along the lower edge 3 gives the appearance of a vintage shoe lace flap. Apertures 8 are located below the upper edge 2. The apertures 8 are used to attach the shoe flap and golfing accessory holder 1 to the laces 9 of a golf shoe 10, as shown further in FIG. 3. A tee holding means 11 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a golf tee 12 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1, as shown in FIG. 3. As shown here, the tee holding means 11 is a pair of straps 13 created by placing vertical cuts 14 through the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A ball marker holding means 15 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a ball marker 16 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1, as shown in FIG. 3. The ball marker holding means 15 may be a magnet 17 that secures metal ball markers 15 to the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 and/or a pin hole 18 that secures ball markers 16 having pins to the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A personalized area 19 is located on the upper surface 5. The personalized area 19 may be personalized by a user with initials, logos, etc.

With reference to FIG. 3, a perspective view of golf shoe 10 having a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 of the present invention located thereon is shown. The shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 is attached to laces 9 of the golf shoe 10 via apertures 8. A tee holding means 11 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a golf tee 12 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A ball marker holding means 15 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a ball marker 16 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. Fringe 7 located along the lower edge 3 gives the appearance of a vintage shoe flap.

With reference to FIG. 4, a top view of a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 of the present invention having a folding flap 20 is shown. The shoe flap and golfing accessory holder 1 has an upper edge 2, lower edge 3, side edges 4, an upper surface 5 and a lower surface 6. A folding flap 20, which is substantially shaped like the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1, extends from the upper edge 2. The folding flap 20 may be folded flat against the lower surface 6 of the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 when attached to a golf shoe 10, as shown further in FIG. 5, thereby giving the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 a more pronounced appearance. Fringe 7 located on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 and the folding flap 20 gives appearance of a vintage shoe flap. Corresponding apertures 8 are located on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 and the folding flap 20. The apertures 8 are used to attach the shoe flap and golfing accessory holder 1 to the laces 9 of a golf shoe 10, as shown further in FIG. 5. A tee holding means 11 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a golf tee 12 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1, as shown in FIG. 5. As shown here, the tee holding means 11 is a pair of straps 13 created by placing vertical cuts 14 through the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A ball marker holding means 15 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a ball marker 16 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1, as shown in FIG. 5. The ball marker holding means 15 may be a magnet 17 that secures metal ball markers 15 to the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 and/or a pin hole 18 that secures ball markers 16 having pins to the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A personalized area 19 is located on the upper surface 5. The personalized area 19 may be personalized by a user with initials, logos, etc.

Finally, with reference to FIG. 5, a perspective view of golf shoe 10 having a shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 of the present invention having a folding flap 20. is shown. The shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 is attached to laces 9 of the golf shoe 10 via corresponding apertures 8 are located on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1 and the folding flap 20. A tee holding means 11 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a golf tee 12 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. A ball marker holding means 15 is located on the upper surface 5 and used for storing a ball marker 16 on the shoe lace flap with golfing accessory holders 1. Fringe 7 located along the lower edge 3 gives the appearance of a vintage shoe flap.

It is to be understood that while a preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated, it is not to be limited to the specific form or arrangement of parts herein described and shown. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes may be made without departing from the scope of the invention and the invention is not to be considered limited to what is shown and described in the specification and drawings.

Claims

1. A shoe lace flap comprising:

an upper edge, lower edge, side edges, upper surface and lower surface;
fringe located along the lower edge; and
and at least one aperture located below the top edge for attaching the shoe lace flap to laces of a golf shoe.

2. The shoe lace flap of claim 1 further comprising:

a tee holding means located on the upper surface.

3. The shoe lace flap of claim 2 wherein:

said tee holding means is at least one strap.

4. The shoe lace flap of claim 1 further comprising:

a ball marker holding means located on the upper surface.

5. The shoe lace flap of claim 4 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a magnet.

6. The shoe lace flap of claim 4 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a pin hole.

7. The shoe lace flap of claim 1 further comprising:

a personalized area.

8. The shoe lace flap of claim 1 further comprising:

a folding flap substantially shaped like the shoe lace flap extending from the upper edge of the shoe lace flap with.

9. The shoe lace flap of claim 8 wherein:

said folding flap further comprises at least one aperture for attaching the folding flap and the shoe lace flap to laces of a golf shoe.

10. The shoe lace flap with of claim 8 wherein:

said folding flap further comprises fringe.

11. A shoe lace flap comprising:

an upper edge, lower edge, side edges, upper surface and lower surface;
fringe located along the lower edge;
and at least one aperture located below the top edge for attaching the shoe lace flap to laces of a golf shoe; and
a tee holding means located on the upper surface.

12. The shoe lace flap of claim 11 wherein:

said tee holding means is at least one strap.

13. The shoe lace flap of claim 11 further comprising:

a ball marker holding means located on the upper surface.

14. The shoe lace flap of claim 13 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a magnet.

15. The shoe lace flap of claim 13 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a pin hole.

16. The shoe lace flap of claim 11 further comprising:

a personalized area.

17. The shoe lace flap of claim 11 further comprising:

a folding flap substantially shaped like the shoe lace flap extending from the upper edge of the shoe lace flap.

18. The shoe lace flap of claim 17 wherein:

said folding flap further comprises at least one aperture for attaching the folding flap and the shoe lace flap to laces of a golf shoe.

19. The shoe lace flap of claim 17 wherein:

said folding flap further comprises fringe.

20. A shoe lace flap comprising:

an upper edge, lower edge, side edges, upper surface and lower surface;
fringe located along the lower edge;
and at least one aperture located below the top edge for attaching the shoe lace flap to laces of a golf shoe; and
a ball marker holding means located on the upper surface.

21. The shoe lace flap of claim 20 further comprising:

a tee holding means located on the upper surface.

22. The shoe lace flap of claim 21 wherein:

said tee holding means is at least one strap.

23. The shoe lace flap of claim 20 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a magnet.

24. The shoe lace flap of claim 20 wherein:

said ball marker holding means is a pin hole.

25. The shoe lace flap of claim 20 further comprising:

a personalized area.

a folding flap substantially shaped like the shoe lace flap extending from the upper edge of the shoe lace flap.
