Latest CHING FENG HOME FASHIONS CO., LTD. Patents:
The present invention relates to a, and more particularly, to a shower curtain ring assembly which is easily connected to or removed from the curtain rod.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONA conventional combination of shower curtain 80 and shower rod 95 is shown in
It is noted that the shower rod 95 extend through all of the inner and outer disks 90, 93 so that the when replacing the shower curtain 80, the shower rod 95 has to removed from the inner and outer disks 90, 93 one by one. Similarly, when installing the shower rod 95 on the walls in the bath room, the shower curtain 80 has to be connected to the shower rod 95, and this makes the installation of the shower rod 95 be difficult.
The present invention intends to provide a shower curtain ring assembly which allows the user to fix the shower rod first and the shower curtain is then connected to the shower rod by the ring assembly.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a shower curtain assembly and comprises a shower curtain having multiple connection areas and multiple connection units are located corresponding to the connection areas respectively. Each connection unit comprises a first part and a second part, wherein the first part has a first side connected to the first side of the shower curtain and the second part has a first side connected to the second side of the shower curtain so that the shower curtain is clamped between the first and second parts. A first collar extending from a second side of each of the first parts and a second collar extends from a second side of each of the second parts.
Multiple curtain ring units each have a ring and a clamping portion extends from the ring. A shower rod extends through the rings. Each clamping portion includes two extensions with an entrance defined between two distal ends of the two extensions. A passage is defined by the two extensions and a slot is defined in the two extensions so as to accommodate the first and second parts, and the shower curtain. The first and second collars are engaged with a periphery of the passage. The entrance between the two extensions includes a first opening and a second opening, wherein the first opening is located closer to the center of the passage than the second opening. A distance between two opposite ends of the first opening is smaller than a distance between two opposite ends of the second opening. An inner diameter of the passage is larger than the distance between two opposite ends of the first opening. The first and second collars are sized to pass through the second opening so as to push the two extensions outward and pass through the first opening and are engaged with the passage.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide a shower curtain ring assembly which allows the users to connect the shower curtain to the curtain ring units or to remove the shower curtain from the curtain ring units while the shower rod is connected to the curtain ring units.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a shower curtain ring assembly wherein the rings are C-shaped ring which hook the shower rod easily and quickly.
The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

Multiple connection units 200 are located corresponding to the connection areas 11 respectively and each connection unit 200 comprises a first part 20 and a second part 30, wherein the first part 20 has its first side connected to the first side 13 of the shower curtain 10 and the second part 30 has its first side connected to the second side 14 of the shower curtain 10 so that the shower curtain 10 is clamped between the first and second parts 20, 30. A first collar 25 extends from a second side of each of the first parts 20 and a second collar 35 extends from a second side of each of the second parts 30. Each of the first part 20 includes a first disk 21 which has a first hole 24 defined centrally therethrough. Multiple protrusions 23 extend from the first side of each first disk 21 and extend through the apertures 12 of the connection area 11 corresponding thereto. Each of the second part 30 includes a second disk 31 which has a second hole 34 defined centrally therethrough and multiple reception holes 33 are defined through each second disk 31. The protrusions 23 are engaged with the reception holes 33 and secured by any known method. The first collar 25 extends from first disk 21 and the second collar 35 extends from the second disk 31.
Multiple curtain ring units 51 each have a ring 52 and a clamping portion 53 extends from the ring 52. A shower rod 50 extends through the rings 52. In this embodiment, the rings 52 of the curtain ring unit 51 are enclosed rings and the shower rod 50 extends through the rings 52. Each clamping portion 53 includes two extensions with an entrance defined between two distal ends of the two extensions. A passage 54 is defined by the two extensions. A slot 531 is defined in the two extensions and accommodates the first and second parts 20, 30 and the shower curtain 10. The first and second collars 25, 35 are engaged with a periphery of the passage 54. The entrance between the two extensions includes a first opening 55 and a second opening 56, wherein the first opening 55 is located closer to the center of the passage 54 than the second opening 56. A distance between two opposite ends of the first opening 55 is smaller than a distance between two opposite ends of the second opening 56. An inner diameter of the passage 54 is larger than the distance between two opposite ends of the first opening 55. The first and second collars 25, 36 are sized to pass through the second opening 56 and to push the two extensions outward so that the first and second collars 25, 36 can pass through the first opening 55 and are engaged with the passage 54. The passage 54 allows the first and second collars 25, 36 to be retrained therein and the first and second collars 25, 36 do not drop via the first opening 55. When the user pulls the shower curtain 10 away from the curtain ring units 51, the first and second collars 25, push the two extensions outward and the shower curtain 10 is easily separated from the curtain ring units 51. This allows the users to clean or replace the shower curtain 10 without removing the shower rod 50 from the wall.
