DRAIN CLEANING AND CLEARING ASSEMBLY
A drain cleaning and clearing assembly is revealed. The assembly includes an elastic tube and a cleaning head mounted to a sleeve-jointed part on one end of the elastic tube. The cleaning head includes an integrated inner tube and an integrated outer tube. A tubular opening is disposed on and penetrating two ends of the inner tube while a water inlet is arranged around the outer tube. The water inlet is connected with a columnar water outlet between the inner tube and the outer tube. A projecting stop flange is provided protruding from the bottom end of the inner tube. Thus water flow is ejected from the tubular opening of the cleaning head and the columnar water outlet respectively to form a water jet and radial water flow. Thereby stuff clogged in a drain is removed and a drain wall is cleaned by water flow.

1. Fields of the Invention
The present invention relates to a drain cleaning and clearing assembly, especially to a drain cleaning and clearing assembly with novel design that not only effectively removes stuff clogged in a drain by a water jet but also scours inner surfaces of a drain wall so as to prevent dirt and debris from bonding to the drain wall and blocking and water flow during cleaning and clearing processes. The drain cleaning and clearing assembly has more practical value in use.
2. Descriptions of Related Art
There are various types of drains available now. After long-term use for water supply or drainage, the drain is jammed by dirt and debris in water flow and is clogged. Thus not only water flow in the drain is affected and may even be blocked completely, causing low or no flow.
Thus a plurality of drain cleaning devices has been developed. Refer to various drain cleaning devices disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,595,255 Patented Jul. 27, 1971 “HOSE ATTACHMENT FOR CLEANING CLOGGED DRAIN PIPES”, U.S. Pat. No. 3,792,708 Patented Feb. 19, 1974 “FLUID FLOW DIRECTOR”, U.S. Pat. No. 3,802,449 Patented Apr. 9, 1974 “DRAIN PIPE FLUSHING DEVICE”, and U.S. Pat. No. 3,840,033 Patented Oct. 8, 1974 “WATER PRESSURE DRAIN CLEANING DEVICE”, all include an elastic tube having one end connected to a water hose for water supply and the other end connected with a flushing head. The elastic tube is set into a clogged area of a drain. Then input water through the water hose. The water flows into the elastic tube and comes out from the flushing head on the other end of the elastic tube. Due to smaller inner diameter of the flushing head, the amount of water coming out is less than the amount of water input through the water hose. Thus the elastic tube is filled with water and is expanded to be stuck in the drain. By water jet emitted from the flushing head, the stuff clogged in the drain is flushed and removed.
However, although above devices can remove the stuff clogged in the drain, the flushing head can only emit water flow for flushing and cleaning the clogged stuff in the drain in use. The devices are still unable to clean a drain wall. Yet there is not only stuff clogged in the drain but also dirt and debris attached on the drain wall and having strong influence on water flow. There is still a space for improvement.
Thus there is a need to provide a novel drain cleaning and clearing assembly that overcomes shortcomings of the structure available now and provides more practical value.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONTherefore it is a primary object of the present invention to provide a drain cleaning and clearing assembly that not only effectively clears stuff clogged in a drain by a water jet but also flushes inner surfaces of a drain wall so as to prevent dirt and debris from bonding to the drain wall and blocking and water flow during cleaning and clearing processes. The drain cleaning and clearing assembly has more practical value in use.
In order to achieve above object, a drain cleaning and clearing assembly of the present invention mainly consist of an elastic tube and a cleaning head mounted to a sleeve jointed part on one end of the elastic tube. The cleaning head includes an inner tube and an outer tube, both integrated therewith. A tubular opening is disposed on and is penetrating two ends of the inner tube while at least one water inlet is arranged around an upper end of the outer tube. The water inlet is connected with a columnar water outlet formed between the inner tube and the outer tube. A projecting stop flange corresponding to the columnar water outlet is arranged at and is protruding from the bottom end of the inner tube. Thus water flow passes the tubular opening of the cleaning head and the columnar water outlet respectively to be ejected, forming a water jet and radial water flow.
The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Refer to
One end of the elastic tube 1 is joined with a connection member 11 that is connected with a water hose 3 while a sleeve-jointed part 12 is on the other end of the elastic tube 1.
The cleaning head 2 is just mounted to and assembled with the sleeve-jointed part 12 of the elastic tube 1 properly. The cleaning head 2 includes an inner tube 21 and an outer tube 22 that are formed integratedly. A tubular opening 23 is arranged at the inner tube 21, penetrating two ends of the inner tube 21, while at least one water inlet 24 is disposed around an upper end of the outer tube 22. The water inlet 24 is connected with a columnar water outlet 25 formed between the inner tube 21 and the outer tube 22. A projecting stop flange 26 corresponding to the columnar water outlet 25 is arranged at and is protruding from the bottom end of the inner tube 21.
Refer to
In summary, compared with the structure available now, by the present invention, the water flow is ejected from the tubular opening that penetrates two ends of the inner tube of the cleaning head and from the columnar water outlet to form a water jet and radial water flow respectively. Thus the stuff clogged in the drain is removed and cleaned due to the water flush. Moreover, during the cleaning and clearing processes, the inner surface of the drain wall is also scoured so as to prevent dirt and debris from bonding to the drain wall and blocking and water flow. The drain cleaning and clearing assembly has more practical value in use.
Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspects is not limited to the specific details, and representative devices shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
