Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cleaning device, and more particularly, to a manual cleaning device which includes multiple cleaning units.

(2) Description of the Prior Art

A conventional cleaning device 1 is shown in FIG. 1 and generally includes a base 11 and a handle 111 is pivotably connected to the base 11, and two rollers 12 are rotatably connected to the central portion of the underside of the base 11. Each roller 12 has multiple scrape plates 121 extending radially therefrom. Multiple idle rollers 13 are connected to the underside of the base 11 so that when the user uses the cleaning device 1, the base 11 moves smoothly by the idle rollers 13. When the rollers 12 rotate, the scrape plates 121 remove the dust from the floor to the dust collectors 14 on two sides of the base 11 so as to clean the floor. Nevertheless, the scrape plates 121 are located at the central portion of the base 11 so that only the dust that the scrape plates 121 reach can be removed, if the dust is located at the corner or beside the wall, the scrape plates 121 cannot remove the dust. Besides, the scrape plates 121 can only remove the dry dust, it the floor has dirty surface including liquid stuff, the conventional cleaning device is difficult to clean the floor.

The present invention intends to provide a cleaning device which can clean different types of dirty floors by using different cleaning units.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 2 to 4, the cleaning device 2 of the present invention comprises a base 3 which has an open underside and two dust collectors 33 is received in the base 3. A handle 31 is pivotably connected to the top of the base 3. The base 3 has two rollers 32 located in the underside thereof and each roller 32 includes multiple scrape plates 321 extending radially outward therefrom. At least two connection plates 5 are connected to two opposite sides of the base 3, and the connection plates 5 can be Velcro sheets. Each of two opposite sides of the base 3 has two engaging slots 30 between which the connection plate 5 is located.

An assistance unit 4 is an elongate member which has two plugs 41 extending from two insides of two bent ends thereof, so that the two plugs are engaged with the two engaging slots 30 in the two opposite sides of the base 3. The user can connect the assistance unit 4 on either side of the base 3. The assistance unit 4 can be easily disengaged from or connected to the base 3 as needed. The assistance unit 4 has a wiping plate extending from an underside thereof.

A wiping fabric 51, made of absorbent material, is attached between the at least two connection plates 5 and located across an underside of the base 3.

Referring to FIG. 5, when using the cleaning device 2, the user holds the handle 31 and moves the base 3 on the floor, the rollers 32 rotate and the scrape plates 321 remove the dust from the floor into the two dust collectors 33. The dust at the corner or beside the wall can be removed by using the wiping plate on the assistance unit 4 and then collected by the scrape plates 321.

FIG. 6 shows that the wiping fabric 51 is connected to the base 3 by attaching two ends of the wiping fabric 51 onto the two connection plates 5. The wiping fabric 51 goes across an underside of the base 3 so that the user can use the wiping fabric 51 to clean the liquid stuff on the floor. The wiping fabric 51 is reusable and is easily disengaged from or connected to the base 3 as needed.

FIG. 7 shows that the assistance unit 4 includes brushes connected thereto which are an alternative way to clean the floor.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
