Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to an improved protective cover, and more particularly to a practical and ideal protective cover having the features of a simple installation and an easy and convenient application, and the protective cover is capable of providing protections to a portable telecom product and facilitating operation and viewing functions of the telecom product.

2. Description of the Related Art

As science and technology advance, various different portable telecom products such as digital media players (DMP), global positioning systems (GPS), flat-panel computers (IPAD) and touch-screen mobile phones adopt LCD and OLED screens as a display interface, and new telecom products are introduced continuously into the market and become a new trend.

In general, the telecom product comes with a protective cover to facilitate the portability and reduces rubbing or possible damages of the telecom product. Most protective covers include a cover or bag for accommodating the telecom product, or a protective cover installed and combined directly to fit the external appearance of the telecom product. Although the design of the protective cover or bag can achieve the expected protection effect of the telecom product, the practical application of the design provides a single function only and thus requires further improvements.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing drawbacks of the conventional protective cover, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally developed an improved protective cover in accordance with the present invention to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art.

It is a primary objective of the present invention to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art by providing an improved protective cover capable of protecting portable telecom product and facilitating the operation and viewing functions of the product.

To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention provides an improved protective cover comprising: a first protective board and a second protective board coupled to each other, and foldable and unfoldable with respect to each other, wherein the first protective board is provided for positioning a telecom product; at least one transverse folding portion formed on a peripheral surface of the first protective board for separating the first protective board into an upper support portion and a lower support portion; and the second protective board includes at least one transverse positioning slot formed on a peripheral surface of the second protective board. Therefore, when the second protective board is folded and buckled to the first protective board, the telecom product placed on the first protective board can be protected. When the second protective board is unfolded, and the lower support portion of the first protective board is not fixed to the telecom product, the first protective board can be bent by the folding portion while being lifted, such that a lower end of the telecom product is moved outward and fixed to any one of the positioning slots of the second protective board, and the lower support portion of the bent second protective board constitutes a support to the telecom product, and thus the telecom product can be set at a specific angle for its operation and viewing.

The purpose, technical characteristic and effects of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed description of preferred embodiments and the illustration of related drawings.

FIG. 7 is a third schematic planar view of an improved protective cover being unfolded to obliquely dispose a telecom product in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 for an improved protective cover of the present invention, the protective cover comprises: a first protective board 10 and a second protective board 11 coupled to each other and foldable and unfoldable with respect to each other, wherein the first protective board 10 is designed according to the appearance of the desired protecting telecom product A, and provided for placing the telecom product A; at least one transverse folding portion B formed at a peripheral surface of the first protective board 10 and provided for separating an upper support portion 101 and a lower support portion 102, wherein the perimeters of the upper and lower support portions 101, 102 have a plurality of upper and lower buckle lugs 1011, 1021, for buckling the periphery of the telecom product A to achieve a positioning effect; at least one transverse positioning slot 111 formed at the periphery of the second protective board 11; and at least one buckle lug 112 formed at the periphery and capable of buckling and protecting the telecom product A when being folded and stacked to the first protective board 10.

With reference to FIGS. 4 to 7 for preferred embodiments of the present invention, after the telecom product A is placed and fixed to the first protective board 10, the second protective board 11 is folded (as shown in FIG. 3), and the telecom product A can achieve the expected protection effect. When the second protective board 11 is unfolded, the telecom product A placed on the first protective board 10 can be operated and view directly from a horizontal position (as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4), Particularly, users can separate the buckle lug 1021 disposed at the perimeter of the lower support portion 102 of the first protective board 10 from the telecom product A, such that the on product A is latched by the buckle ling 1011 disposed at the perimeter of the upper support portion 101 only, and then the first protective board 10 lifted, and the folding portion B is used as a base for bending the upper support portion 101 backward, so that a lower end of the telecom product A separated from the lower support portion 102 is moved outward automatically, and can be inserted and fixed to positioning slot 111 of the second protective board 11 or blocked at a position of an end of the buckle lug 112 (as shown in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7), and the lower support portion 102 bent with respect to the upper support portion 101 constitutes a support to the telecom product A, so that the telecom product A can be disposed naturally and obliquely at a specific angle to fit different using occasions, so as to provide convenient operation and viewing effect to users.

To provide a better protection effect of the telecom product A, the upper and lower support portions 101, 102 of the first protective board 10 and the second protective board 11 have substrates with an appropriate hardness such as a thin plastic board, a metal board or a cardboard, and a soft material such as a leather material or a fabric material is coated onto internal and external surfaces of the substrates, so as to provide the aesthetic and protective effects.

Since the substrates of the first protective board 10 and the second protective board 11 have an appropriate hardness, therefore when the first protective board 10 is lifted up to allow the lower support portion 102 to form a support to the telecom product A, the obliquely disposed telecom product A has a very good stability.

In other words, the present invention at least has the following advantages:

1. Simple installation, and easy and convenient application; and

2. Providing protections to portable telecom products, and achieving the effects of facilitating their operation and viewing functions.

While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations such as a change of numeric values or replacement of an equivalent component could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
