Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a water storage tank for water purifying system. Particularly, it relates to a water storage tank for water purifying system that has at least one air bag. This invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. There is no water leakage problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. It is easy to replace the air bag. In addition, the overall cost is extremely low.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Referring to FIG. 1, it shows a traditional water purifying system 90. It comprises a water inlet 91, a filter 92, a pump 93, a reverse osmosis filter 94, a water outlet 95, a water output portion 96, a storage tank 97, and a waste water collector 98. In which, the reverse osmosis filter 94 has a first end 941, a second end 942, and a third end 943. The first end 941 connects to the pump 93. The second end 942 connects to the water outlet 95. The third end 943 connects to the waste water collector 98. The water purified by the reverse osmosis filter 94 will flow to the water outlet 95 and then be stored in the storage tank 97.

There are many kinds of traditional storage tanks 97. Two of them are described below. As shown in FIG. 2, it is a traditional storage tank without welding seam. This kind of storage tank includes a storage tank casing 971, a membrane 972, a water storing space 973, an inflating air space 974, a connecting part 975, an inflating portion 976, and a sealing cover 977. However, it has the flowing two disadvantages:

[1] It is easy to become loose or cause leaking. FIG. 2 shows the membrane 972 has a securing portion 972A which is fixed between the sealing cover 977 and the storage tank casing 971. But, the securing portion 972A of the membrane 972 is easy to become loose. Not only its securing effect is poor, but also some water might leak out. Especially the water in the water storing space 973 might leak from the position of the securing portion 972A.

[2] It will cause air leaking problem. After it is used for a long time, the air leaking problem will occur at the inflating portion 976 due to aging.

FIG. 3 illustrates another traditional storage tank with welding seam. Its storage tank casing 971 comprises an upper casing 971A, a lower casing 971B, a welding portion 971C, an inner casing 971D, and a locking ring 971E. Concerning this design, it has the following disadvantages:

[1] The loose problem or water leaking problem will happen at the welding portion. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the securing portion 972A of the membrane 972 is secured on the inner casing 971D by the locking ring 971E tightly. Based on this design, it might become loose easily. Also, the water tends to leak at the welding portion.

[2] The manufacturing cost is relatively high. The structure of the traditional storage tank with welding seam is complicated. Plus, the required parts are more. So, the manufacturing cost is relatively high.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 4 to 7, the present invention is a water storage tank for water purifying system mainly comprising a solid housing 10 and at least one air bag 20,

About the solid housing 10, it has a liquid storing space 11 for storing liquid. The solid housing 10 is disposed with at least one connecting portion 12.

With regard to at least one air bag 20. the air bag 20 includes a deformable bag 21 and an inflatable space 22. When the pressure outside the air bag 20 increases, the deformable bag 21 shrinks. When the pressure outside the air bag 20 decreases, said deformable bag expands.

In which, the air bag 20 is positioned in the liquid storing space II and the air bag 20 is movable therein.

As shown in FIG. 5, the solid housing 10 includes a bucket 10A and a cover 10B. The bucket 10A and the cover 10B are combined as one integral structure by screw threads.

In the first preferred embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 5, the connecting portion 12 has two ends. One end connects to the liquid storage space 11 and the other end is provided for connecting to a water output pipe 70 of a water purifying system. Of course, under the condition of only one connecting portion 12, the connecting portion 12 can be modified as a three-way connecting pipe. Under this condition, the end that connects to the water output pipe 70 includes two ports (one for input water, the other one for output water).

As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, when the water is continuously flowed into the liquid storage space 11, the pressure in the liquid storage space 11 will increase. That is, when the pressure outside the air bag 20 increases, the deformable bag 21 is forced to be shrinking.

FIGS. 8 and 9 show the second preferred embodiment of the present invention. In which, there are two air bags 20. Two connecting portions 12 are disposed on the cover 10B, One of the connecting portions 12 has two ends. One end connects to the liquid storage space 11 and the other end connects to the water output pipe 70 of a water purifying system. The other one of the connecting portions 12 connects to a water output element 80.

FIG. 10 illustrates the third preferred embodiment of the present invention. In which, the water output pipe 70 connects with several storage tanks. Each storage tank contains five air bags 20. The water output element 80 mounted an end of the water output pipe 70.

Of course, the structure of the present invention can be modified as shown in FIG. 11. The bucket 10A of the solid housing 10 is shaped as an elongated spherical structure. The cover 10B becomes a seat. After air bag 20 is filled in suitable volume of air. the inflating opening will be sealed (by any conventional heat sealing method). The bucket 10A and the cover 10B are combined as one integral structure by screw threads. The cover 10B becomes a seat having three legs for supporting this invention (three legs are evenly distributed and spaced by 120 degrees).

Besides, once any air bag 20 is aged or becomes ineffective (such as lack of flexibility), the user can take it out and then replace a new air bag 20. It is very convenient in air bag replacement or maintenance. Of course, the air bag 20 of this invention can be a balloon. Not only it is easy to obtain various balloons, but also the product cost is low. About the design of the solid housing 10, there are many choices. Also, it is possible to use the housing of any existing product or container. Therefore, no matter in manufacturing, assembling, or maintenance, it is very simple and easy.

The advantages and functions of this invention can be summarized as follows.

[1] This invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. Regarding the traditional storage tanks as mentioned above, both of them are required to use specific parts (with certain size and specification) for assembling. It is impossible to arbitrarily select any existing material/object. However, the air bag 20 of this invention can be selected from a common balloon or the like. The solid housing can be used by an existing container or similar product. There is no need to buy extra specific parts/materials.

[2] There is no water leakage problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. About the traditional storage tanks as mentioned above, both of them have the water leaking problem causing by the membrane. But, the air bag 0 of this design replaces the traditional membrane 972, so that no water leaking problem will occur.

[3] It is easy to replace the air bag. Once the air bag is aged or becomes ineffective, the user can take it out and then replace a new air bag 20 easily.

[4] The overall cost is extremely low. The air bag 20 of this invention can be a common balloon or the like. The solid housing 10 also can be an existing container or similar product. Therefore, no matter in manufacturing, assembling, or maintenance, it is very simple and easy. Also, its overall cost is relatively low.

While this invention has been particularly shown and described with references to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes or modifications can be made therein without departing from the scope of the invention by the appended claims.
