The present disclosure pertains to a method of playing a game by a plurality of players incorporating chance and risk having the steps of providing a communal dice set, providing a plurality of scoring dice sets, rolling the communal dice set and the scoring dice sets, creating a point designation, repeating the scoring dice sets roll and the point designation creation steps, determining whether a match designation set has been created, assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set and a point value for each player who obtained a match designation set, and repeating the hand until one player has obtained a winning point value.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims the benefit of priority to U.S. Provisional Application No. 61/358,140 filed on Jun. 24, 2010, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

BACKGROUND

The present disclosure relates to a method and device for playing a dice game. Dice games incorporating the elements of risk and chance have been played throughout history for entertainment and gambling purposes. Typically, dice will display a dice value on each of the faces of dice. Where the die consists of six sides, each of the six sides will have a dice value selected between the numerals one and six. Typically, each of the faces of the dice will display a dot or a plurality of dots that correspond to such a dice value.

The method of the present disclosure incorporates the elements of risk and chance utilizing a communal dice set and a plurality of scoring dice sets.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present disclosure pertains to a method of playing a dice game by a plurality of players. In one aspect, the dice game has the steps of providing a communal dice set having a plurality of communal dice, where each communal die has a plurality of communal sides and each communal side has a communal indicia, providing a plurality of scoring dice sets having a plurality of scoring dice and a distinguishing attribute, where each scoring die has a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side has a scoring indicia and where the distinguishing attribute allows each scoring dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets, selecting the scoring dice set by each of the plurality of players, determining a roller, rolling the communal dice set by the roller to obtain a communal designation, rolling the scoring dice sets to obtain a scoring designation, selecting any die from any scoring dice set by the respective player of the scoring dice set thereby creating a point designation, repeating the round with the unselected dice until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred, determining whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations thereby creating a match designation set, assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set, assigning a point value for each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying a player's remaining point designations not used in the match designation set, repeating the hand until the total of all the point values for any player is a winning point value, and determining a winner of the game, if any player has a winning point value.

In another aspect, the dice game has the steps of providing a communal dice set having a plurality of communal dice, where each communal die has a plurality of communal sides and each communal side has a communal indicia, providing a plurality of scoring dice sets having a plurality of scoring dice and a distinguishing attribute, where each scoring die has a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side has a scoring indicia and where the distinguishing attribute allows each scoring dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets, selecting the scoring dice set by each of the plurality of players, determining a roller, rolling the communal dice set by the roller to obtain a communal designation, rolling the scoring dice sets to obtain a scoring designation, selecting any die from any scoring dice set by the respective player of the scoring dice set thereby creating a point designation, repeating the round with the unselected dice until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred, determining whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations thereby creating a match designation set, assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set, assigning a point value to each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying a player's remaining point designations not used in the match designation set, assigning each player with the greatest point value one hand point, assigning the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller, repeating the hand until any player has a winning number of hand points, and determining a winner of the game.

In one aspect, the dice game has the steps of providing a communal dice set having a plurality of communal dice, where each communal die has a plurality of communal sides and each communal side has a communal indicia, providing a plurality of scoring dice sets having a plurality of scoring dice and a distinguishing attribute, where each scoring die has a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side has a scoring indicia, where the distinguishing attribute allows each scoring dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets, selecting a scoring dice set by each of the plurality of players, determining a roller, providing a wager, rolling the communal dice set by the roller to obtain a communal designation, rolling the scoring dice sets to obtain a scoring designation, selecting any die from any scoring dice set by the respective player of the scoring dice set thereby creating a point designation, providing a poker play by all players beginning with the player to the right of the roller, repeating the scoring dice roll, point designation selection, and poker play steps until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred, determining whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations thereby creating a match designation set, assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set, assigning a point value for each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying the remaining point designations of each player not used in the match designation set, awarding a player with the greatest point value the value of all wagers, and assigning the roller to the player that possesses the ability to wager positioned to the left of the previous roller, if more than one player possesses the ability to wager.

In one aspect, the dice game is implemented in an electronic device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

To aid in understanding aspects of the invention described herein, some terms used in this description are defined below.

By a “round” is meant rolling the scoring dice sets and creating a point designation.

By a “hand” is meant completing the predetermined number of rounds or selecting all scoring dice by all the players.

In the following detailed description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings which form a part hereof and in which is shown by way of illustration specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the invention, and it is to be understood that other embodiments may be utilized and that structural or logical changes may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. The following detailed description is, therefore, not to be taken in a limiting sense, and the scope of the present invention is defined by the appended claims.

The subject disclosure pertains to a method of playing a dice game 100 by a plurality of players. A player can be any type of opponent, for example, without limitation, another person, an electronic device, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the dice game 100 provides for a communal dice set 110 and provides for a plurality of scoring dice sets 120.

In one embodiment, the communal dice set can have a plurality of communal dice wherein each communal dice can have a plurality of communal sides and each communal side can have a communal indicia. The communal dice set can have any number of communal dice, however, in the preferred embodiment, the communal dice set has three communal dice. The communal dice can have any number of communal sides, for example, without limitation, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 48, 50, 60, 100, 120, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the communal dice have eight sides. In the preferred embodiment, the communal dice of the communal dice set can have the same number of sides. In another embodiment, the communal dice set can have any combination of communal dice with different numbers of sides, for example, without limitation: one six-sided die, one eight-sided die, and one ten-sided die; one six-sided die, and two ten-sided dice; or the like. The communal indicia can be any type of indicia, for example, without limitation, numbers, letters, patterns, colors, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the communal indicia are numbers.

In one embodiment, the scoring dice sets can have a plurality of scoring dice wherein each scoring die can have a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side can have a scoring indicia. The scoring dice set can have any number of scoring dice, however, in the preferred embodiment, the scoring dice set has eight scoring dice. The scoring dice sets can have an equivalent or different number of scoring dice between each scoring dice set, however, in the preferred embodiment, the scoring dice sets have an equivalent number of scoring dice between each scoring dice sets. The scoring dice can have any number of scoring sides, for example, without limitation, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 48, 50, 60, 100, 120, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the scoring dice have eight sides. In the preferred embodiment, the scoring dice of a scoring dice set can have the same number of sides. In another embodiment, a scoring dice set can have any combination of different sided scoring dice, for example, without limitation, three six-sided dice, three eight-sided dice, and two ten-sided dice; four six-sided side, three eight-sided dice, and one ten-sided dice; or the like. The scoring indicia can be any type of indicia, for example, without limitation, numbers, letters, patterns, colors, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the scoring indicia are numbers.

In one embodiment, the scoring dice set and the communal dice set can also have a distinguishing attribute that allows each scoring device set and the communal dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets and the communal dice set. In the preferred embodiment, the distinguishing attribute is the color of the dice surface, however, other ways to distinguish can be used, for example, without limitation, indicia color, size, shape, or the like.

In one embodiment, the dice game 100 includes selecting a scoring dice set 130 by each of the plurality of players that will be used during the course of the game by the player that selected the scoring dice set.

In one embodiment, the dice game 100 includes determining a roller 140. The roller can be determined by a variety of ways, for example, without limitation, flipping a coin, rolling a die, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the roller is chosen by each player rolling a specified number of their scoring dice and tallying the rolled dice of each player individually. The player with the greatest value on the dice is the roller. If the total tally of any players are equal, the players with the equal tally continue rolling the dice until there is only one player with the high tally. In the preferred embodiment, the specified number of scoring dice to determine a roller 140 is two.

In one embodiment, the roller rolls the plurality of communal dice 150 thereby providing a communal designation of each communal die. The communal designation is the communal indicia that appears on the top side of the communal die after the communal die is rolled. The communal dice are then placed to the side where they remain during the entire round for all players to see and refer.

In one embodiment, the plurality of scoring dice sets are rolled 160 thereby providing a scoring designation. The scoring designation is the scoring indicia that appears on the top side of the scoring die after the scoring die is rolled. In one embodiment, the roller rolls the plurality of scoring dice sets 160. In one embodiment, the roller roles the plurality of scoring dice sets 160 simultaneously. In one embodiment, each scoring dice set is rolled 160 by the player associated with their scoring dice set.

In one embodiment, each player then selects each die with a scoring designation 170 that the player desires to keep and places the die to the side, thereby creating a point designation for each die placed to the side. Point designations are selected by evaluating the likelihood of matching a point designation to a communal die with the likelihood of obtaining a maximum point value. While each player can select more than one die, each player must select at least one die.

In one embodiment, the scoring dice that were not selected by a player are then rolled 160. In one embodiment, the roller rolls the non-selected scoring dice 160. In one embodiment, the roller rolls the non-selected scoring dice 160 simultaneously. In one embodiment, each non-selected scoring dice is rolled 160 by the player associated with their non-selected scoring dice.

Each player selects each die from their remaining scoring dice set and places the die to the side thereby creating additional point designations 170. The scoring dice roll 160 and point designation selection 170 steps are repeated until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred, thereby completing a hand. While the number of rounds may vary, in the preferred embodiment, the number of rounds is four.

In one embodiment, the players are assigned a turn and in turn roll their respective scoring dice, select each die, and/or determine whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations in the communal dice set. The order of the players' turns can be assigned in any sequential manner, for example, a clockwise manner, a counterclockwise manner, or the like. In one embodiment, the player assigned the first turn is the roller. In one embodiment, prior to beginning a new hand, the player who was assigned the second turn in the previous hand is assigned the first turn in the new hand and the remaining players' turns are sequentially assigned from the player with the first turn.

In one embodiment, after a hand has been completed, the players determine whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations in the communal dice set, thereby obtaining a match designation set 180. For example, without limitation, if the communal dice roll 150 produced a two, a three, and a five, and a player's selecting point designations 170 include a two, a three, and a five, then the player has obtained a match designation set 180. If the communal roll produced a two, a three, and a five, and the player's resulting point designations do not include a two, a three, and a five, then the player has not obtained a match designation set.

In an alternative embodiment, the method of playing a dice game 100 provides for a communal dice holder wherein said communal dice holder stabilizes the communal dice and prevents them from being disturbed. The communal dice holder can have a cavity for retaining the communal dice and allowing the communal designations to be easily viewed. The communal dice holder can be any shape and size, and can be made of any conventional material, for example, without limitation, plastic, metal, wood, or the like. In the preferred embodiment, the communal dice holder is a rectangular shape made of plastic.

In the preferred embodiment, the players assign a point value of zero to each player who failed to obtain a match designation set 210. In one embodiment, the players assign a point value to each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying the player's remaining point designations not used in the player's match designation set 220. Players then assign a roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller 230, if no player obtained a winning point value. Also In one embodiment, the players repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 210, 220, and 230 until the total of all the point values for any player is equal or greater than a predetermined winning point value, thereby determining a winner 240. While the winning point value can be any value, in the preferred embodiment, the winning point value is 150 points.

In another embodiment, if more than one player obtains a total point value equal or greater than the winning point value and the players have an equivalent total point value, the players then assign the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller 250. The players with the equivalent total point value then repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 210, 220, and 250 until one of the players obtains the greatest winning point value, thereby determining a winner 260.

In another embodiment, after the players assign a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set 310 and tally the players' remaining point designations not used in the players' match designation sets 320, the players assign one hand point to the player with the greatest point value 330. If more than one player obtained the greatest point value, then the players assign one hand point to each player with the equivalent greatest point value. In one embodiment, the players assign the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller 340, if no player obtained a winning number of hand points. The players then repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 310, 320, 330, and 340 until any player has obtained a predetermined winning number of hand points, thereby determining a winner 350. In one embodiment, the preferred winning number of hand points is five.

In another embodiment, if more than one player obtained the winning number of hand points, the players assign the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller who obtained a total number of hand points equal or greater than the winning number of hand points 360. In one embodiment, the players who obtained the winning number of hand points repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 310, 320, 330, and 360, until any player with an equivalent total number of hand points obtains one hand point greater than the winning number of hand points, thereby determining a winner 370.

In another embodiment, after the players assign a point value of zero to each player who failed to obtain a match designation set 410 and tally the players' remaining point designations not used in the players' match designation sets 420, the players calculate a countdown value 430 by subtracting their point values from a predetermined individual countdown value. A player cannot obtain a countdown value less than zero. If any player would have obtained a countdown value less than zero, the point value that would have rendered a countdown value less than zero is added to the player's current countdown value 440. For example, without limitation, if a player's countdown value is 22, and the player obtains a point value of 23, the player cannot subtract the 23 point value from the 22 countdown value. The player adds the 23 point value to the 22 countdown value and receives a new countdown value of 45. In one embodiment, the players assign the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller 450, if no player has obtained a countdown value of zero. In one embodiment, the players then repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 410, 420, 430, 440, and 450 until any player has a winning countdown value of exactly zero, thereby determining a winner 460.

In another embodiment, if more than one player has a countdown value of zero, the players assign the roller to the player positioned to the left of the previous roller 470 who obtained a countdown value of zero. In one embodiment, the players with a countdown value of zero repeat steps 150, 160, 170, 180, 410, 420, 430, 440, and 470 until a player obtains a match designation set and obtains the lowest point value, thereby determining a winner 480. In one embodiment, the player who obtained a countdown value of zero and is positioned to the left of the previous roller becomes the next roller.

In another embodiment, the dice game 100 is played as described above except all players wager between rolls of the scoring dice. In one embodiment, the dice game 100 provides for a communal dice set 510 and provides for a plurality of scoring dice sets 515. Players select a scoring dice set 520, determine at least one roller 525, and provide a wager 530 prior to rolling the communal dice 535. The roller then rolls the communal dice 535 followed by the scoring dice 540, and the players create a point designation 545. In one embodiment, after the roller has removed all unselected dice from the field, the player to the right of the roller provides a poker play 550 (e.g. checking, betting, calling, or raising), thereby beginning the betting process for that round as in poker. The scoring dice roll 540, point designation selection 545, and poker play 550 steps are repeated until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred. The players then determine the match designation sets 555 and assign point values 560, 565. In one embodiment, the player with the greatest point value receives the total wagers 570. If more than one player has the ability to wager (i.e. has chips remaining), the player positioned to the left of the previous roller that still has the ability to wager becomes the new roller 575. The players can repeat steps 530, 535, 540, 545, 550, 555, 560, 565, 570, and 575 until only one player has the ability to wager. In one embodiment, if more than one player obtains an equivalent point value and the equivalent point value is the greatest point value of all the players, the players with the equivalent point value split the total wagers 580 evenly among themselves. If more than one player has the ability to wager, the player positioned to the left of the previous roller that still has the ability to wager becomes the new roller 575. The players can repeat steps 530, 535, 540, 545, 550, 555, 560, 565, 570, 575, and 580 until only one player has the ability to wager. In another embodiment, a first player cannot be forced out by a second player wagering more than the ability of the first player to wager.

In another embodiment, the dice game 100 can be played using an electronic device such as a computer, by way of computer executable software code. In one embodiment, the electronic device can have a housing, processor, a display, and input device. The processor is configured to execute software code stored in memory. The display displays the dice and point values to a player. A player uses the input device to manipulate and choose dice represented graphically on the display. Where the electronic device is a personal computer, the input device is preferably a keyboard or a mouse. Where the electronic device is a stand-alone game unit, the input device may be keys or buttons, a pressure sensitive touch screen, or touch screen buttons.

The dice game 100 can be implemented in a computer program tangibly embodied in a computer-readable storage medium containing a set of instructions for execution by a processor or a general purpose computer. Method steps can be performed by the processor executing a program of instructions to perform functions of the dice game 100 for example, without limitation, to distribute the dice to the players, to provide and distribute electronic designations of the dice, to randomize the electronic designations of the dice, to provide for selections made by a player, to maintain control of play of the dice game 100, to sequence the steps of the dice game 100, to calculate the players' point values, to exchange wagers that are lost and won between players, or the like, by operating on input data and generating output data. Suitable processors can be, for example, without limitation, both general and special purpose processors. A processor can receive instructions and data from a ROM, a random access memory (RAM), a storage device, and/or the like. Storage devices suitable for embodying computer program instructions and data include all forms of non-volatile memory, for example, without limitation, semiconductor memory devices, magnetic media such as internal hard disks and removable disks, magneto-optical media, and optical media such as CD-ROM disks and digital versatile disks (DVDs). In addition, while the illustrative embodiments may be implemented in computer software, the functions within the illustrative embodiments may alternatively be embodied in part or in whole using hardware components such as Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), or other hardware, or in some combination of hardware components and software components.

In one embodiment, the electronic device can provide for an individual player or a plurality of players to play the dice game 100 on a single electronic device where the players compete against the electronic device and/or each other. In another embodiment, the software can provide for a plurality of players playing the dice game 100 on a single electronic device. In the preferred embodiment, the dice game 100 can be played by a plurality of players on a plurality of electronic devices where each player has an individual electronic device and each electronic device is tethered to the other electronic devices, thereby allowing the players to play the dice game 100 against the other players using their individual electronic devices. The electronic devices can be physically or wirelessly tethered to the other electronic devices. The electronic devices can be wirelessly tethered by any number of tethering means, for example, without limitation, the internet.

The electronic device can be a portable electronic device, a computer, a portable computer, a tablet computer, a notepad computer, a computing device, a video game system, portable video game device, a smartphone, a personal digital assistant, an electronic video game machine, a mechanical game machine, or the like. Any suitable electronic device can be modified so that the method of the dice game 100 can be practiced thereon.

The foregoing has described the principles, embodiments, and modes of operation of the present invention. However, the invention should not be construed as being limited to the particular embodiments described above, as they should be regarded as being illustrative and not as restrictive. It should be appreciated that variations may be made in those embodiments by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention.

Modifications and variations of the present invention are possible in light of the above teachings. It is therefore to be understood that the invention may be practiced otherwise than as specifically described herein.

Claims

1. A method of playing a game by a plurality of players comprises:

(A) providing a communal dice set comprising a plurality of communal dice, wherein each communal dice comprises a plurality of communal sides and each communal side comprises a communal indicia,
(B) providing a plurality of scoring dice sets comprising a plurality of scoring dice and a distinguishing attribute, wherein each scoring dice comprises a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side comprises a scoring indicia, wherein said distinguishing attribute allows each scoring dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets,
(C) selecting said scoring dice set by each of the plurality of players,
(D) determining a roller,
(E) rolling said communal dice set by said roller to obtain a communal designation,
(F) rolling said scoring dice sets to obtain a scoring designation,
(G) selecting any die from any scoring dice set by the respective player of said scoring dice set thereby creating a point designation,
(H) repeating 1(F-G) with the unselected dice until all said scoring dice have been selected by all said players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred, and
(I) determining whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of said communal designations thereby creating a match designation set.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein said distinguishing attribute is color.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein each of said scoring dice sets has an equivalent number of scoring dice.

4. A method of claim 1 wherein said number of scoring sides is selected from the group consisting of: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 48, 50, 60, 100, 120, or any combinations thereof.

5. A method of claim 1 wherein said number of communal sides is selected from the group consisting of: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 48, 50, 60, 100, 120, or any combinations thereof.

6. A method of claim 1 wherein said scoring dice sets and said communal dice set have any combination of different sided dice.

7. A method of claim 1 wherein said method of determining a roller comprises:

rolling a specified number of scoring dice by each player, and
assigning said roller to said player with said scoring dice with the greatest value.

8. A method of claim 1 further comprises assigning a turn to said players.

9. A method of claim 9 wherein said player assigned the second turn in a previous hand is assigned the first turn in a new hand and the remaining players' turns are sequentially assigned from the player with the first turn.

10. A method of claim 1 wherein said scoring dice sets are rolled simultaneously.

11. A method of claim 1 wherein said scoring dice sets are rolled by the roller.

12. A method of claim 1 wherein each scoring dice set is rolled by the player associated with said scoring dice set.

13. A method of claim 1 further comprises:

(A) assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set,
(B) assigning a point value for each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying a player's remaining point designations not used in the match designation set,
(C) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller, if no player has obtained a winning point value,
(D) repeating steps 1(E-I) and 9(A-C) until the total of all the point values for any player is said winning point value, and
(E) determining a winner of said game, if any player has a winning point value.

14. A method of claim 10 further comprises:

(A) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller, where said player obtained a total point value equal or greater than said winning point value, more than one player obtained a total point value equal or greater than said winning point value, and said total point values of said players are equivalent,
(B) repeating steps 1(E-I), 9(A-B), and 10(A) by players with said equivalent total point value until one of said players obtained a greatest winning point value, and
(C) determining a winner of said game, if any player with an equivalent total point value obtained said greatest winning point value.

15. A method of claim 1 further comprises:

(A) assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set,
(B) assigning a point value to each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying a player's remaining point designations not used in the match designation set,
(C) assigning each player with the greatest point value one hand point, if no player has obtained a winning number of hand points,
(D) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller,
(E) repeating said steps 1(E-I) and 11(A-D) until any player has said winning number of hand points, and
(F) determining a winner of said game, if any player obtained a winning number of hand points.

16. A method of claim 12 further comprises:

(A) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller, where said player obtained a total number of hand points equal or greater than said winning number of hand points, more than one player obtained a total number of hand points equal or greater than said winning number of hand points, and said total number of hand points of said players are equivalent,
(B) repeating steps 1(E-I), 11(A-C), and 12(A) by players with said equivalent number of hand points, and
(C) determining a winner of said game, if any player with an equivalent total number of hand points obtained one hand point greater than said winning number of hand points.

17. A method of claim 1 further comprises:

(A) assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set,
(B) assigning a point value to each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying the remaining point designations of each player not used in the match designation set,
(C) calculating a countdown value by subtracting a player's point value from a predetermined individual countdown value,
(D) adding said point value to said player's current countdown value, if by subtracting said point value from said countdown value said player would have obtained a countdown value less than zero,
(E) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller, if no player obtained a countdown value of zero,
(F) repeating said steps 1(E-I) and 13(A-D) until any player obtained a countdown value of zero, and
(G) determining a winner of said game, if any player obtained a countdown value of zero.

18. A method of claim 14 further comprises:

(A) assigning said roller to said player positioned to the left of the previous roller, where said player obtained a countdown value of zero and more than one player obtained a countdown value of zero,
(B) repeating steps 1(E-I), 13(A-C), and 14(A) by players with a countdown value of zero, until said player with said countdown value of zero obtained a match designation set and obtained the lowest point value, and
(C) determining a winner of said game, if any player with said countdown value of zero obtained a match designation set and obtained the lowest point value.

19. A method of playing a game by a plurality of players comprises:

(A) providing a communal dice set comprising a plurality of communal dice, wherein each communal dice has a plurality of communal sides and each communal side has a communal indicia,
(B) providing a plurality of scoring dice sets comprising a plurality of scoring dice and a distinguishing attribute, wherein each scoring dice comprises a plurality of scoring sides and each scoring side comprises a scoring indicia, wherein said distinguishing attribute allows each scoring dice set to be distinguished from all other scoring dice sets,
(C) selecting a scoring dice set by each of the plurality of players,
(D) determining a roller,
(E) providing a wager,
(F) rolling said communal dice set by said roller to obtain a communal designation,
(G) rolling said scoring dice sets to obtain a scoring designation,
(H) selecting any die from any scoring dice set by the respective player of said scoring dice set thereby creating a point designation,
(I) providing a poker play by all players beginning with the player to the right of the roller,
(J) repeating steps 15(G-I) until all the scoring dice have been selected by all the players or a predetermined number of rounds have occurred,
(K) determining whether one resulting point designation of each player matches each of the communal designations thereby creating a match designation set,
(L) assigning a point value of zero to each player who fails to obtain a match designation set,
(M) assigning a point value for each player who obtained a match designation set by tallying the remaining point designations of each player not used in the match designation set,
(N) awarding a player with the greatest point value the value of all wagers, and

20. A method of claim 16 further comprises:

(A) assigning the roller to the player that possesses the ability to wager positioned to the left of the previous roller, if more than one player possesses the ability to wager, and
(B) repeating steps 15(E-O) and 16(A),

21. The method of claim 16 further comprises splitting said value of all wagers evenly among the players with an equivalent greatest point value, if more than one player has an equivalent greatest point value.

22. The method of claim 16 further comprises continuing to play by a first player even if a second player wagers more than the first player's ability to wager.

23. The method of claim 1, wherein said dice game is implemented in an electronic device.

24. A device of claim 20 wherein a plurality of electronic devices are wirelessly tethered using the internet.
