Sports Bag Skid Brace

Sports Bag Skid Brace is an aluminum brace designed to replace the existing plastic brace to allow for longer use and better support for, but not limited to, sports bags. Specifically for consumers who do a lot of traveling (planes, trains, and automobiles) with their Bowling/Sports Bags, as they seem to endure a lot more wear and tear.

Description

The product is made of aluminum. Sports Bag Skid Brace itself is a half inch thick by one inch wide. Length of the Skid Brace will be determined by the size of the sports bag. Each end will have a 45 degree angle cut. The edges will be smoothed for safety reasons.

To make this product simply start with piece of aluminum (1″wide×½″thick×an indeterminate length) and cut to desired length, (measurement to be taken from the bottom of the Bowling/Sports Bag). After cut is made, measure a 45 degree angle at each end of Skid Brace and cut. Proceed to smooth all sharp/rough edges for safety purposes, so that the consumers do not cut themselves.

BACKGROUND OF SPORTS BAG SKID BRACE

Current bags use plastic bases, and within weeks these plastic bases break and cause other problems to the bags.

Due to the product warrantees, companies are losing money having to replace each bag at no additional cost to the consumer.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF SPORTS BAG SKID BRACE

The advantage of this invention, the Sports Bag Skid Brace, is to strengthen the bases of these bags, specifically but not limited to, bowling bags, as bowling bags at this time are using a flimsy plastic bar like base as the only support.

This product will allow for more stress and pressure to be put on Bowling Sports bags, and allow for less wear and tear and a longer life span to products using this invention, the Sports Bag Skid Brace.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE SPORTS BAG SKID BRACE

1 inch by ½ inch by desired length with edges cut at 45 degree angle and sharp/rough edges smoothed over for safety purposes.

DESCRIPTION THE DRAWING(S)

Side view: The side view shows that the design has about a 45 degree angle at each end of the bar.

Top view: The top view illustrates that the design is a solid piece with 4 holes drilled in which the rivets attach the design to the sports bags.

Bottom view: the bottom view illustrates that the design is a solid piece and from the bottom there are no holes drilled in the bottom which also shows that the holes drilled from the top do not completely go through the bar.

FIG. 1 (side view, both side views are identical)

1. Approximate degree of angle - 45

2. Approximate degree of angle - 45
