Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption” are disclosed. Playing cards, boards or plates containing information, quantitative and qualitative features as well as geographic indications of alcoholic beverages generally, and may be divided in groups or sets used as a manner of entertainment or also as a means to diffuse specific information about said alcoholic products, and the conception of each game will be constituted by a set of cards (1), boards or plates, referred to as “decks”. The game will dispute beverages belonging to a same type (beers, wines, whiskeys among other alcoholic beverages) and the number of cards (1) having in each “deck” will vary in function of the quantity of beverages belonging to that type, certain geographic location, or own rules defining the set to the disputed.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application is a Continuation Application of PCT/BR2009/000110 filed Apr. 22, 2009 which claims priority to Brazil Application No. 018090010021, filed Mar. 2, 2009, herein incorporated by reference in their entirety.

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present application of invention patent purpose of the description and claim of this report refers to a playing cards, boards or plates containing information, quantitative and qualitative features as well as geographic indications of alcoholic beverages generally, and may be divided in groups or sets used as a manner of entertainment, game or also as a means to diffuse specific information about said alcoholic products.

Thus, the new game claimed herein was idealized with the aim to be a product which, in addition to present elucidative information of the universe features from alcoholic beverages, was also purpose of amusement and entertainment, being different of any other information vehicle, as specialized magazines and books.

The playing card, board or plate is intended for the adult public, alcoholic beverages tasting drinkers. Both professionals and mere enthusiasts may entertain themselves comparing features of beverage types, as well as have access to information in the world of production and tasting art.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The origin of cards' games, as well as the pack of playing cards, remains unknown until nowadays. There are many theories and mysteries involving these fascinating games gathering followers all over the world. The pack of playing cards or playing cards may have several uses, as the pack of playing cards which “foresees the future” , the magic pack of playing cards through which the artist presents his/her act, the education playing cards, which work abilities of the player, as memory, in addition to develop knowledge about certain issues.

The first playing cards were manually created and colored, as shown in some exposed examples in museums.

The first cards were totally manually prepared, which makes them precious and delicate objects. Notwithstanding this and prohibition laws to the game promulgates in most of European countries in ancient times, the cards' games were rapidly included among the habits of all social classes.

A known playing card in the current state of the art is the dealing cards consisting in a payment method or method to gather information about public people. A familiar dealing type is the baseball card having a photographic card representing an athlete, together with biographic and statistical information about the athlete. These baseball cards and other cards to deal with several sports are used by sport enthusiasts as a mean to disclose information about players and teams. There are also trading cards among cars with information about power, costs, technical features, where one or more players may entertain themselves through various possibilities and rules used.

Playing cards, on the other hand, especially well-known pack of playing cards with fifty two cards having faces, are available easily and rapidly. The proper cards, individually and collectively, generally have no different value for entertainment. Many games may be played with a pack of playing cards, generally limited to players' imagination. Some games demand specially printed carts for this game, e these cards have low value when not playing in this specific game.

In other words, many games have rules requiring both random card selection or depend on occurrence of events outside the players' control. Other games requiring some strategy are used to limit the strategy level with restriction rules of the game.

At this time, there are no games freely using information of alcoholic beverages, games allowing a player to form a combination of information to test or dispute knowledge or geographic information through cards upon cards' combination of other players.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a “PLAYING CARDS OF COMPARISON BETWEEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT ITS FEATURES, MANUFACTURING QUALITIES AND CONSUMPTION”, wherein it is marked an new conception where each game will be constituted by a set of cards, boards or plates, referred to as “decks”. The game will dispute beverages belonging to a same type (beers, wines, whiskeys among other alcoholic beverages) and the number of cards having in each “deck” will vary in function of beverage quantity belonging to that type, certain geographic location, or own rules defining the game to be disputed. In each card, board or plate of a “deck” there are figures and information, which will be defined according to features defining each type of beverage, to better view, in order to facilitate the dispute. Each card, board or plate presents four different fields, being a field destined to the photograph of personalized landscape, label and brand of each beverage, with visual identification. Below the photograph, a field is destined to the history description of the beverage and its manufacturer, containing a flag and country's name, identifying the nationality and year of foundation of the manufacturer. More below, two parallel fields and with shapes of tables with comparative information represented through evaluation grades.

The present invention gathers in several sets of cards, boards or plates, to play the complex world of manufacture and quality comparison of several types of alcoholic beverages. More than only an information vehicle, culture and historic curiosities, the invention affords entertainment among appreciators and collectors of such ancient tradition. The invention values the historic culture of most varied beverages, accompanying the evolution of humanity in at least 10,000 years, in a collectible, didactical and amusing material.

The invention is different from any other comparison game, precisely for being directed to a selected public of consumers and appreciators, specialists of not, since it gather precise and technical information of evaluation from the most diverse beverages, according to international rules used by several types of professional tasters, however, in a visual and simple language, accessible to any adult person, including for the layman public, wishing to enter this complex, tasty, and refined world. There are endless possibilities to play using said cards with information of alcoholic beverages.

To complement the present description in order to obtain a better understanding of the features in the present invention application, it is attached, in a exemplified manner, although not limitative, representing an embodiment of the “PLAYING CARDS OF COMPARISON BETWEEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT ITS FEATURES, MANUFACTURING QUALITIES AND CONSUMPTION”.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

THE “ PLAYING CARDS OF COMPARISON BETWEEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT ITS FEATURES, MANUFACTURING QUALITIES AND CONSUMPTION”, purpose of this request for Invention Patent, consists on a game constituted of cards (1) made in material having certain flexibility and relative elasticity, and may be plasticized and with photoluminescence details, and said material also selected to produce a good appearance for the player; said cards (1) present four different fields, and the field (2) destined with the photograph of personalized landscape, label and brand of each beverage , with visual identification.

Below the photograph, the field (3) is destined to the history description of the beverage and its manufacturer, containing the flag and country's name, identifying nationality and year of manufacturer's foundation.

More below, two parallel and table-shaped fields (4) and (5) with comparative information represented through evaluation grades.

The field (4) contains quantitative and purely technical features of each alcoholic beverage as optimal temperature of consumption, mixture and ratio types, alcoholic graduation, number of fermentation processes, number of distillation processes, fermentation time, maturation time, aging time, pasteurization, annual production, filtering, limpidity, color, transparency, viscosity, acidity, persistence, retro-taste, gas, brightness, ingredient types and ingredient quantities;

The field (5) contains qualitative features of the beverages, following rules and patterns internationally used by professionals and tasters to evaluate the quality of beverages, as fragrance, appearance, taste, body, savor, intensity, retro-taste, tact, astringency, and balance.

The embodiment of the “PLAYING CARDS OF COMPARISON BETWEEN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES CONTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT ITS FEATURES, MANUFACTURING QUALITIES AND CONSUMPTION”, described in this detailing topic of the invention is provided as an example only. Changes, modifications and variations may be embodied for any constructive specific embodiment by those skilled in the art without, however, diverge to the purpose disclosed in the patent application, which is solely defined by attached claims.

Claims

1. Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, comprising: playing cards, boards or plates containing information, quantitative and qualitative features as well as geographic information of alcoholic beverages generally, and may be divided in groups or sets used as a manner of entertainment or also as a means of diffusion for specific information about said alcoholic products wherein the game includes a set of cards (1), boards or plates, referred to as “decks”; the game will dispute beverages belonging to a same type (beers, wines, whiskeys among other alcoholic beverages) and the number of cards (1) having in each “deck” will vary in function of the quantity of beverages belonging to that type, certain geographic location, or own rules which will define the set to be disputed; in each card (1), board or plate of a “deck”, it will present figures and information, which will be defined according to features defining each type of beverage, to better view, in order to facilitate the dispute.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, according to claim 1, wherein cards (1) containing specific information about alcoholic products, quantitative and qualitative features, as well as geographic indications, made in material having certain flexibility and relative elasticity, and may be plasticized and with photoluminescence details, and said material is also selected to produce a good appearance for the player; said cards (1) present four different fields.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, according to claim 1, wherein the field (2) of the card (1) destined to the photograph with personalized landscape, label and brand of each beverage, with visual identification.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption”, according to claim 1, wherein the field (3) of the photograph (1) is destined to the history description of the beverage and its manufacturer, containing flag and country's name, identifying nationality and year of manufacturer's foundation.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, according to claim 1, wherein two fields (4) and (5) of the parallel and table-shaped cards (1), with comparative information represented through evaluation grades.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, according to claim 1, wherein the field (4) of the card (1) constitutes quantitative and purely technical features of each alcoholic beverage as optimal temperature of consumption, mixture and ratio types, alcoholic graduation, number of fermentation processes, number of distillation, fermentation time, maturation time, aging time, pasteurization, annual production, filtering, limpidity, color, transparency, viscosity, acidity, persistence, retro-taste, gas, brightness, ingredient types and ingredient quantity.

Playing cards of comparison between alcoholic beverages containing information about its features, manufacturing qualities and consumption, according to claim 1, wherein the field (5) of the card (1) contains qualitative features of the beverages, following rules and patterns internationally used by professionals and tasters to evaluate quality of beverages, as fragrance, appearance, taste, body, savor, intensity, retro-taste, tact, astringency, and balance.
