Suicide bomb deterrent

Abstract

One embodiment of a manufactured device presenting as a Suicide Bomb Deterrent designed to preemptively warn and deter in self-defense, and if need be to retaliate in reciprocal punishment, against a potential suicide bombing terrorist, taken to be deployed in public display either upon or near one's person, comprising a frangible retention envelope (1 of FIG. 1) into which has been inserted a mixture comprising porcine derivative (2 of FIG. 1), which envelope has thereafter been hermetically sealed and permanently affixed to a plaque (7 of FIG. 6) imbued with porcine derivative (9 of FIG. 6) and which plaque carries upon it a written warning (10 of FIG. 6) of content and operational function of said envelope and plaque presentment, with a method of construction capable of large scale adaptation to provide warning and deterrent capacity for dwellings, buildings, airframes, and motorized vehicles. Other embodiments, variations, and ramifications are described and shown herein.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention is a manufactured device related to personal self-defense. More particularly, the present invention is a novel device to preemptively warn and deter, and if need be retaliate in self-defense against, a potential suicide bomber in the theretofore anticipated detonation of an explosive charge within close proximity of said device.

2. Description of Related Art

In order to provide background information so that the embodiments of the present invention as disclosed herein may be completely understood and appreciated in their proper context, reference is made here to a number of historical events, public writings, and related art creations, as follows:

It is a historically known reality that the fanatical religious Moros of the Philippines during the Spanish-American War of 1898 began losing their desire for terroristic suicide death when faced with spreading word that Moros killed in battle would be wrapped in pig skins before being buried by American forces, leading the Moros to believe that they faced not only physical death but also the death of their respective souls.

According to the Moskovski Komsmol newspaper, wrote columnist James Taranto in the Wall Street Journal, Nove. 1, 2002, Russian security forces had decided to bury the terrorists, killed during the then recent hostage siege, wrapped in pig's skins. The aim was to deter potential fanatical religious terrorists from future attacks, by negatively affecting their afterlife.

Many years ago, Rabbi Moshe Antelman, an Israeli chemist, developed a pork laced bullet known as the AT-PLO (Anti-Terrorist Paradise Lost Ordinance). Preface.

We live at a time when we see that our world is at war. Any war, whatever war, used as a base, is all too horrific in its violent and destructive loss of life and propert. This war of our time is a newly aggressive and extremely vile strain of warfare. In distinctively sinister ugliness, this warfare has transmutated from dealing in death between uniformly identified military combatants to dealing death to innocent civilians, while transmigrating from the battlefields distinguishable on maps of previous wars to the suburbs, cities, and towns otherwise indistinguishable from a generic Pleasantville.

Times were bad enough when we witnessed our courageous and selfless eagles of peace engaged in conventional military combat with the savage dogs of just any war. Now, we witness law-abiding citizens of every family and of all ages—from our elderly to our newborns—living precariously under the new and more personally dangerous threat of suicide bombing terrorists who claim themselves to be doing the religiously righteous work of a higher law.

Unfortunately, it is a sad reality of fact known to all who are familiar with current world events that fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorists are real. These bombers kill hundreds of innocent people of the general public each year in places all around the world. One primal motivation of these suicide bombers is their sincerely held religious belief that it is infinitely better to die while killing others, upon voluntary detonation of a suicide bomb designed to kill the bomber and as many bystanders as is reasonably practicable, in what the suicide bomber believes to be a religiously righteous act which guarantees said bomber's soul a place in Paradise as a religious tenet, to lay there with virgins and to commune there with God and His Prophets, than to live peacefully in a world of friendly harmony with those they gratuitously label infidels.

In the events, writings, and prior art disclosed above, no obvious consideration was given either to protecting and preserving all human life or to providing means for personally controlled self-defense preemption of harm to all living persons of the general public prior to a terroristic tragedy having occurred, and without resort to utilization of offensive weaponry. It is axiomatic that the methodology of wrapping dead bodies in pig's skins is reactionary in design and implementation, not preemptive, necessarily accepts, even requires, human deaths as a prerequisite to affecting diminished desire for, and deterrence of, future terroristic attacks, and that bullets are intended primarily to cause death or serious physical injury rather than saving lives.

Heretofore, individual members of the public have had no readily available means to preemptively warn, deter, and if need be to retaliate in self-defense against, the homicidal inclinations of potential fanatical religious suicide bombers. Whatever the precise merits, features and advantages of the above cited references, none of them achieves or fulfills the purpose of preemptive warning, deterring, and self-defense retaliation of the present invention.

A significant and unfulfilled need of human lifesaving proportion presently exists in the field of preventing suicide bombing attacks altogether. What is needed is a personally controlled suicide bomb deterrent which presents as defensive, rather than offensive, in nature, design, and implementation, incorporates a preemptive methodology of deterrence, rather than reactionary, to be utilized before, rather than after, a first suicide bombing has occurred, in operational pursuit of protecting and preserving all human life, potential bombers and intended victims alike. Genesis.

Common in military teaching the world over is found a version of the axiom that in order to defeat one's enemy in battle one must learn to think as one's enemy. Beginning at a point of hoping that suicide bombings would end so that no more people would die in such manner, including bombers, the inventor of the instant Suicide Bomb Deterrent made an effort to learn to think as one's enemy. Said inventor was thinking as a potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist at the time of conception of ideas now set forth in the reality of embodiments disclosed herein.

In as much as said embodiments were conceived and designed under a process of thinking like a potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist, and were designed to operationally function against said terrorist, the reader is asked at this stage of the disclosure to consider and test said embodiments, not from the standpoint of what the reader believes to exist or not to exist, but from the standpoint of whether the reader will be convinced that said terrorist will be convinced, warned, and deterred by said embodiments. The reason for this unusual request should become quite clear to the reader as this disclosure document unfolds the same old story of good versus evil in an entirely new and significantly enhanced version, where the psychological sciences are seen to meet religious concepts in a truly life and death struggle to influence human behavior in a world where good is somehow seen as evil, and evil is somehow seen as good.

At a later stage of the disclosure the reader will be asked to consider and test the embodiments against empirical data, scientific standards, and clinically recorded human behavioral phenomenon. For the time being, the reader is asked to objectively evaluate the utility and operational parameters of said embodiments, perhaps thinking as one's enemy.

Whether we like it or despise it, acknowledge it or ignore it, do something about it or believe that nothing can be done about it, this new war is your war, my war, collectively a citizen's war.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with one embodiment, the present invention as claimed is a manufactured device of self-defense designed to preemptively warn and deter the potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist from otherwise detonating an explosive charge in close proximity thereto, comprising a frangible retention envelope containing material including porcine derivative, which is affixed to a substratum of solid yet frangible material imbued with porcine derivative. An operational warning notice adorns the front of said substratum, disclosing capability of said device to effectively deliver a retaliatory consequence in self-defense against a suicide bomber detonating an explosive charge in close proximity thereto.

The principal object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide to individual members of the public a readily available self-defense device taken to be deployed in public display and which, based upon the generally accepted doctrine of reciprocal deterrence made more internationally familiar as Mutually Assured Destruction, is believed to operate for the preemptive cause and purpose of warning and deterring the potential fanatical religious suicide bomber having inclination toward homicidal activity of suicide bomb detonation. Said operation is believed to be accomplished by defensively presenting a clear and present danger of significant and immediate retaliatory consequence to the person and interests of said potential bomber, such to dishearten or countervail said potential bomber's motive for suicide bomb detonation, effectively discouraging said potential bomber from proceeding with bomb detonation in operational pursuit of protecting and preserving all human life and property otherwise in mortal and destructive danger, potential bombers and intended victims alike.

It is also an object of said embodiment as claimed to provide such a device which is portable and easily displayed.

Another object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide such a device which is of simple and inexpensive construction.

A further object of said embodiment as claimed is to provide such a device which is decorative, artful, and appealing.

An additional object of the present invention as claimed is to provide such a device having extensively diverse and far-reaching capabilities for adaptation in order to satisfy deterrent needs across the spectrum from individual end user to even the largest commercial and industrial applications.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

Description—Basic Unit—FIG. 1.

Refer now to FIG. 1 of the Drawings 1/2, which is an overall drawing of the basic unit of the self-defense device as presently contemplated. As shown in the drawings, in accordance with one embodiment of the basic unit of the self-defense device of warning, deterrence, and retaliation as presently contemplated, said basic unit includes at FIG. 1, a frangible retention envelope 1, into which has been inserted a mixture of materials comprising porcine derivative and a stabilizing agent and an organic preservative 2, a bottom end cap 3 which is preferably of strong molded solid material permanently secured to the bottom of said frangible retention envelope 1 by adhesive glue which is not water soluble, a top end cap 4 which is preferably of strong molded solid material permanently secured to the top of said frangible retention envelope 1 by adhesive glue which is not water soluble and having on its top a ring eye 5.

Frangible retention envelope 1 preferably comprises a material such as glass or silica in a thin walled state such as a vial, bottle, or tube, although other solid yet frangible material may work equally as well. Inserted mixture of materials 2 preferably comprises pig's blood with an anticoagulant and an organic material preservative, although as will be disclosed in the second embodiment and alternative versions other porcine derivative is suitable. End caps 3 and 4 are preferably comprised of precious metal such as gold or silver, although other durable materials are also suitable. Bottom end cap 3 and top end cap 4 are preferably permanently secured to their respective ends of frangible retention envelope 1 utilizing a strong, quick-drying cyanoacrylate adhesive in such a manner as to create the hermetic seal of envelope 1 after insertion of mixture of materials 2 into envelope 1, although other methods of permanently securing caps 3 and 4 to create said hermetic seal are possible and suitable.

Description—First Embodiment—FIG. 6

Refer now to FIG. 6 of the Drawings 2/2. As shown in the drawings at FIG. 6 the first embodiment of the self-defense device as presently contemplated has basic unit FIG. 1 preferably permanently secured into a recessed cavity 8 located near the top and in centerline of a mountable plaque 7 imbued with porcine derivative 9.

Although it is presently contemplated that basic unit FIG. 1 be secured into recessed cavity 8, it may equally as well be secured to plaque 7 in other ways. It is preferred that basic unit FIG. 1 be permanently secured to plaque 7 using an adhesive glue which is not water soluble and which is suitable for permanently affixing glass to painted wood, anticipating possible outdoor display, although other adhesives and permanent fixers may work equally as well. It is preferred that plaque 7 be made of wood, although any thin, flat plate of solid yet frangible material may work equally as well. It is preferred that plaque 7 be imbued with powdered pig bone by applying to plaque 7 a painted coat mixture 9 preferably of approximately one part powdered pig bone fixed from organic decay by preservative to four parts liquid paint of any color, although other methods of imbuing plaque 7 with powdered pig bone will work equally as well.

• • NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the frangible glass amulet affixed to this Shield contains a significant quantity of pig's blood in a liquid state. It has been treated with preservative and anticoagulant additives. Further, this Shield is imbued with pig bone. Detonation of an explosive charge within close proximity of this Shield is greatly discouraged. Such explosive event is likely to cause the catastrophic failure of the containment properties of the glass amulet and this Shield, resulting in the indiscriminate disbursal of porcine derivatives over a vast area of the immediate surroundings.

Many means of printing or inscribing warning words 10 centered upon plaque 7 are possible and suitable to include, but not limited to, handwriting, stenciling, and computerized or mechanical printing, and may suitably be applied front and center to plaque 7 either directly on top of and following completion of the imbuing process, or indirectly first to a self-adhesive decal or label of the type impervious to liquids and which is thereafter likewise directly applied.

Operation—FIGS. 1-6.

For a full and complete understanding of what is presently believed to be the most efficient mode of operation and the principles thereof necessary to carry out the preemptive cause and purpose of the invention as presently contemplated and claimed, it is intended that the entire content of this subheading of Operation be read and understood in conjunction with a contemporaneous reading and understanding of the entire content of subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation which follows.

Functional operation of the present invention as claimed is based, in part, upon the following statements of fact:

WHEREAS, the physical laws of cause-and-effect are of a scientifically proven nature.

WHEREAS, the sincerely held religious beliefs and practices of even the most fanatical religious suicide bomber contain a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs; which necessarily must accord in all respects with the physical laws of cause-and-effect, at least as to all things terrestrial.

WHEREAS, to deter is to stop or prevent or discourage from acting or proceeding by presentment of danger, difficulty, or other consideration which disheartens or countervails the motive for the act. A deterrent is anything which impedes or has a tendency to prevent.

WHEREAS, consequence is the later effect or result of something occurring previously; which may by prudent human foresight be anticipated as likely to result from an act in conclusion reached by a line of reasoning and inference based upon the field of human experience.

WHEREAS, the threat of punishment, as a consequence, is a deterrent to crime.

It is believed that the present invention as claimed operates as follows:

As may well be expected according to the physical laws of cause-and-effect, it is intended that both frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 and plague 7 of FIG. 6 of the embodiments as presently contemplated will rupture and disintegrate to disburse their contents and/or coatings comprising porcine derivative over a broad area of their immediate vicinity when in close proximity of a blast wave from a detonated explosive charge had in air, such as a suicide bomb. Said blast wave is expected to consist of an abrupt rise in air pressure followed by a drop in air pressure to or below atmospheric pressure causing the catastrophic failure of the integrity of both envelope 1 and plaque 7 and resulting in said disbursal.

As shall be explained in greater detail under the subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation, one primal motive of a potential fanatical religious suicide bomber to detonate a suicide bomb, which kills said bomber and targeted victims, is solidly grounded in said potential bomber's sincerely held religious belief that such killing guarantees the departed soul of said bomber a final place of eternal abode in a heavenly Paradise not of this world.

As shall also be explained in greater detail under the subheading Human Factors Influential To Operation, to include specific reference by citations to independent written authority, the sincerely held religious beliefs and practices of the most fanatical religious suicide bomber contains a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs, which ordains warfare and commands said bomber to fight even by suicide bombing to slay the infidel nonmember of said bomber's religion wherever they are found by arrest, besieging, and laying in ambush everywhere for said infidel nonmember until such pays tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. Said moral code also critically cautions that the gates to Paradise as the final abode of said bomber's soul will be closed to said bomber should said bomber die a mortal death while defiled of body by pork.

Porcine derivative 2 of FIGS. 1 and 9 of FIG. 6 contained within the frangible retention envelope 1 and imbuing plaque 7 of the present embodiments in their publicly displayed mode will initialize and employ the psychological techniques of warning and deterrence to the potential fanatical religious suicide bomber. Because the actual capacity for significant retaliation hazard of undesirable and unacceptable punitive consequences of damage to said bomber's well-being by and through blast wave rupture and disintegration of said publicly displayed device and disbursal of said porcine derivative are then imminent, said bomber, knowing that being bodily defiled by pork is anathema to righteous moral conduct necessary for entry into Paradise, is expected to take immediate curative action to protect said bomber's life, and thereby the lives of suicide bomb targets and innocent bystanders, through said bomber voluntarily choosing mutually respected detent over mutually assured destruction, and failing then to detonate an explosive charge.

This concludes the description of how to make the static physical structure of said first embodiment of said present invention as claimed, and how it operates, although the reader is referred to supportive and modifying information disclosed herein under the subheadings of: Human Factors Influential To Operation, Note On Precautionary Procedure, Notes On Embodiment Sizing, Notes On Warning Words 10, and Mode Of Public Display, all of which, by this reference, is incorporated herein.

The foregoing detailed description of the first embodiment of the present invention has shown and described a novel manufacture which fulfills all of the objects and advantages sought therefore. It is intended that the scope of said invention be limited not by this detailed description, but rather by the spirit and scope of the claims appended hereto. All alternative embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of said invention claims are deemed hereby to be covered by said invention.

Description—Second Embodiment—FIGS. 1 and 6—Operation

Refer now to FIGS. 1 and 6 of the Drawings 1/2, 2/2. In substantial conformity with the spirit and scope of the present self-defense device as presenting in FIG. 6, the second embodiment presently contemplated presents frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 into which has been inserted a mixture of materials comprising pig bone in powdered state and an organic preservative in powdered state and an anticaking substance 2. This second embodiment essentially only exchanges the liquid properties of mixture 2 of FIG. 1 to powdered properties, and amends warning words 10 of FIG. 6 to reflect the exchange of pig's blood in a liquid state with pig bone in a powdered state. The operation of this second embodiment is expected to be identical in all substantial respects to that of the first embodiment.

Description—Alternative Version—FIGS. 1 and 2—Operation.

Refer again to FIG. 1 and now to FIG. 2. In substantial conformity with the spirit and scope of the present self-defense device, an alternative version is presently contemplated which presents the basic unit FIG. 1 as personal adornment. In FIG. 2 it is seen that top end cap 4 has on its top a ring eye 5 through which a ductile string of material 6 such as a chain may pass in order to hold the device in place on one's person, as a talisman on a necklace. This alternative variation or module version is clearly marked upon its surface with American English, Arabic, and Hebrew characters for “Danger” and “Pig” in order to serve the object and purpose of warning and deterrence.

Anticaking, Anticoagulant, and Preservative.

Agent or substance of anticaking may include silicon dioxide or tricalcium phosphate. Agent or substance of anticoagulant may include sodium citrate. Agent or substance of organic preservative may be selected from a group consisting of sodium benzoate, sodium nitrite, sodium salicylate, and sodium sulfide. Other agents or substances may work equally as well as those listed herein.

Many different forms of mix of porcine derivative and stabilizing agent and organic preservative 2 of FIG. 1, as well as porcine derivative and organic preservative 9 of FIG. 6, all suitable for the objects and purposes hereof, may be acquire in premixed state from any of several retail and/or wholesale suppliers of porcine derivative.

Human Factors Influential To Operation.

Those persons presently skilled in the sciences of the human mind and human behavior will quite readily understand and appreciate what may take the rest of us just a little longer to understand and appreciate concerning why people do what they do.

People do what they do because human factors such as truth, principles, values, ethics, aesthetics and religious concepts influence mental processes and guide individual as well as group conduct and behavior. Such factors would influence the motives and ends of action presenting in a real world scenario having a potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorist preemptively challenged by a defense of warning words 10 and porcine derivative 2 of FIGS. 1 and 9 of FIG. 6 upon the publicly displayed embodiment of said Suicide Bomb Deterrent had in FIG. 6 Drawings 2/2.

Relevant and Material Religious Factors.

Of paramount importance as a factor influential to the end result of either operational success or operational failure of said embodiments is a variable presenting in the fundamental free will choice of said terrorist. However variable said free will choice may initially appear, influential factors in the form of doctrinal laws, laid down upon the pages of sacred texts revered as the word of God and forming the greater part of the sincerely held religious beliefs of said terrorist, guide and restrain the moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist. There is a world of difference between free will choice for us and free will choice for said terrorist.

In the figurative “world” of the United States of America, culture, law, religion, and politics each have separate centers of control. Most of that separation is mandated by law today because, among other things and in condensed version, our Founding Fathers experienced that having one center of control, in that instance the King of England, was not good if one were not the King. It tended to negatively impact said influential human factors—for example the King would command the people to believe that truth was a lie and that a lie was the truth and it would be so—which in turn began to negatively influence mental processes, conduct, and behavior in the people.

In the figurative “world” of said terrorist, said doctrinal laws laid down upon pages of said sacred texts revered as the word of God are accepted as the foundation of culture, law, religion, and politics. As such, it should come as no surprise to us that to said terrorist, religion is everything. Religion so influentially guides and restrains the moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist to remain within the structured bounds of said doctrinal law—albeit appearing to the unbeliever to be misguided, unrestrained, fanatical, extreme, and unbounded by structure—that said moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist becomes subject to predictability. The moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist may reasonably be predicted to follow and conform to that which guides and restrains.

In whatever world one may find themselves, whether it is the world as the people of the United States know it or the world as said terrorist knows it, all human beings are endowed with free will choice. The difference between the free will choice of an average American citizen and the free will choice of an average potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist is not found in free will choice, but rather in the choices to be found.

In the world of the United States, the aforementioned human factors which influence mental processes and guide conduct and behavior tend to be relatively unrestrained. Being relatively unrestrained, said human factors thrive and lead to the creation of valuable, diverse, and productive roadways and avenues into culture, law, religion, and politics. With time and effort, these roadways and avenues may be seen to present a freeway system full of off-ramp choices to be made in the travels of our free will choice.

In the world of said terrorist, said human factors, as a whole, have less to do with advances or withdrawals in culture, law, religion, and politics. In the world of said terrorist, religious concepts are the predominant human factor. As a product of religious concepts, culture, law, religion, and politics tend to be restrained within the structured bounds of said doctrinal law and said sacred texts, accepted as said foundation of culture, law, religion, and politics. Being thus restrained, said terrorist travels a straight and narrow road in the travels of free will choice.

At some location and at some time in the future of said terrorist, an embodiment of said Suicide Bomb Deterrent will be placed in the center of said straight and narrow road traveled by the free will choice of said terrorist. A fork will present in the road. To the left will be had suicide bomb detonation. To the right will be had suicide bomb deterrence. Religious factors influencing this fork-in-the-road free will choice of said terrorist, said choice influencing embodiment operational effectiveness, are as follows.

Said potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist is referred to as such, when and where within this disclosure, on the basis of distinction in order to set apart said terrorist as having accepted as sincerely held religious belief what said inventor has previously been assured by a True Believer is a radical and extreme interpretation, a misinterpretation and corruption, of True Believer Doctrinal Law Laid Down Upon Pages of Sacred Text Revered as the Word of God. Said misinterpretation guides the moral conduct and behavior of said terrorist to utilize suicide bombing in the fanatical religious killing of innocent people for not being a believer of said terrorist's religion, by placing killing as a commandment of doctrinal law squarely within the structured bounds of said doctrinal law. Said terrorist believes that it's okay to kill people in disagreement over religion. After all, it's the law.

Said terrorist is not the first to have such a belief. History records that during the reign of Nero, emperor of Rome, Christians were killed for being Christians, unwilling to accept Nero as a god; and also records that under the orders of Torquemada, Spanish inquisitor-general, Jewish people as well as other unbelievers were killed for not being Christians. Religion, it seems, establishes license to kill or be killed.

Said radical and extreme interpretation of said doctrinal law resulting in said misinterpretation and corruption forming said sincerely held religious beliefs of said terrorist begin with the otherwise benign if not beneficent expressions and religious system of The Holy Koran, the sacred text of Islam, the religious faith of Muslims; revered as the word of God, or more appropriately here, Allah, as dictated to the Arab prophet Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel circa 625 A.D., and translated from Arabic into English by George Sale in 1734 A.D. Koran, also, Qur'an, is literally translated as “book” or “reading.” Islam is literally translated as “submission,” as to Allah.

Present as a matter of English translation of The Holy Koran, provided by said True Believer directly to the hand of said inventor for the purpose of service of Allah to bring enlightenment and edification to all who would read and increase in knowledge, are, among other things, the following expressions with their respective citation to sura.

• • The only true faith in Allah's sight is Islam. Sura 3.19.

Obtained from an independent source theretofore unknown to said inventor, having no prior or subsequent contact or affiliation with said inventor, are alternative translations of portions of the previously translated expressions, as well as further and related expressions.

According to Takrike Tarsile Qur'an, Inc., said independent source, a nonprofit Islamic organization staffed by Muslims devoted to the dissemination of authentic knowledge concerning Islam, the following expressions are from The Qur'an, translated by Mahomedali Habib; were originally published by Habib Esmail Benevolent Trust of Karachi, Pakistan; and were later reprinted by the World Organization for Islamic Services of Teheran, Iran.

  • Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. It is with such expressions, among others, of The Holy Koran, or Qur'an, that said terrorist believes that it's okay to kill with suicide bomb attack, believing that it is guided moral conduct and behavior restricted and remaining within the structured bounds of doctrinal law. Regardless of whether such makes sense or not to anyone else, it makes dangerously deadly sense to said terrorist.

Present as a matter of said doctrinal law influential to said terrorist may be found, among other things, a promise of the existence of an eternal heaven of Paradise which the departed soul of said terrorist may either: 1) enter as a final abode, based upon worthiness, or 2) be denied entry into, based upon unworthiness. According to said Qur'an as independently provided, said Paradise includes, among other things:

• • Therein are rivers of water that does not alter, and rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change, and rivers of drink delicious to those who drink, and rivers of honey clarified; and for them therein are all fruits and protection from the Lord. Sum 47.15 . . . gardens with their Lord . . . and Allah sees the servants. Sura 3.15 . . . they shall have therein pure mates, and We shall make them enter a dense shade. Sum 4.57.
    The principles necessary for predetermination of a finding of either worthiness or unworthiness for entry into said Paradise are fully set forth in said doctrinal laws.

Among said principles set forth in said doctrinal laws of said sacred texts is a principle of cleanliness, the relevant and material portion of which is explained as follows. According to said Qur'an as independently provided, said principle of doctrinal law reads in relevant and material part:

• • Forbidden to you is . . . blood, and flesh of swine . . . that is a transgression. Sura 5.3.
    Similar language may be found at Suras 2.173, 6.145, and 16.115. Those believers who violate said principle of cleanliness are deemed unclean and therefore defiled. Being defiled presents cause for a determination of said believer's unworthiness. A determination of unworthiness denies said believer entry into Paradise.

Relevant and Material Psychological Factors.

Definition: Psychological Warfare—defined here simply—is the strategic use of psychological techniques in order to influence and defeat the thinking or behavior of an opponent.

According to Sigmund Freud, 1856-1939, an Austrian neurologist and founder of psychoanalysis—opining from a psychological science point of view as opposed to a religious faith point of view—religion guides the thoughts and motions of people by means of precepts which are backed by the whole force of its authority. New Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis, 1932, A Philosophy of Life, Lecture 35.

The respective efficacy of said embodiment is not predicated upon and cannot be materially influenced by any consensus of the general public, a scientific body, or body politic, as to what exists or does not exist. Aside from operational concern as to the existence of potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorists who maintain and practice specifically identified beliefs, said embodiments have no concern as to what does or does not exist.

Rather, the respective efficacy of said embodiments is predicated upon a fact based understanding of said sincerely held religious beliefs of said terrorist and concomitant utilization of psychological techniques common to psychological warfare. In the end, there is but one operational question whose answer in the affirmative establishes a firm foundation of irrefutable proof that said invention, in its presently contemplated embodiments of device and psychological science based methodology as disclosed herein, presents a novel, unobvious, useful, concrete, and tangible result of warning accompanied by a high degree of probability of successful suicide bomb deterrence. That question is whether the potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist accepts as a fact, based upon said terrorist's sincerely held religious beliefs, that said invention does in a manner sufficiently real to said terrorist have the viable and imminent potential in operational capacity to close the very gates of the specific Paradise which said terrorist seeks to enter as the final abode of said terrorist's departed soul at detonation of a suicide bomb which kills said terrorist and intended infidel targets consisting of innocent persons of the general public. The scenario described in this operational question presents the psychological moment.

The embodiments of said invention device and concomitant psychological science based methodology can fully be expected to accomplish preemptive suicide bomb deterrence, filling a significant need of human lifesaving proportion, because the potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist can reasonably be expected, in reliance upon doctrinal law within said terrorist's sincerely held religious beliefs, to immediately recognize and understand full well the reciprocal life and death dangers to said terrorist inherent in possible indiscriminate disbursal of porcine derivative—anathema to said terrorist by religion—then posed by said device, such that said terrorist as potential bomber having been sufficiently warned can also reasonable be expected to act in a manner consistent with self-preservation and in contravention to suicide bomb detonation, being effectively deterred. Said embodiments are expected to function precisely as disclosed, simply because the potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist will possess adequate reason, supported by sincerely held personal religious beliefs, to believe that they will.

That no person believes in the concept of an eternal Paradise and possible exclusion of a soul therefrom, other than the believing potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist intended by operational function of said embodiments to be warned and deterred, is of very little, if any, consequence. That the targeted terrorist believes in said concept is of paramount consequence.

Disclaimer as to Human Factors.

Neither said inventor nor said embodiments of said invention as presently contemplated and disclosed herein make or intimate any claim or representation whatsoever as to any proven or alleged capability of said inventor or said embodiments to actually affect any physical closing of any such gates of any such Paradise. Said inventor presents said embodiments without any intent of either admitting or denying the factual existence of said Paradise, whether having or not having said gates, nor admitting or denying the factual existence of said soul. Said embodiments have been designed and developed by said inventor to fully satisfy all of the previously disclosed objects and to optimally perform all of the operational functions as disclosed, regardless of whether or not said Paradise or said soul exist.

Said embodiments have been specifically designed and developed by said inventor to perform three stairstepped yet integrated operational functions. Said functions are: 1) warning, 2) deterrence, and 3) retaliation in the manner threatened by warning words 10, see First Embodiment, intended to warn and deter. Each of said functions accords with generally accepted and clearly established laws of the mental and physical sciences.

Said integrated operational functions are reasonably expected to result in either one of only two possible ends, each capable of surviving scrutiny of scientific testing. Said possible ends are: 1) a potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorist, theretofore intending imminently to commit the homicidal act of suicide bomb detonation targeted to kill innocent persons of the general public, will on the basis of personal self-interest be deterred from detonating said suicide bomb in successful operation of said embodiment, resulting in saving all of the lives and property then otherwise in mortal or destructive danger, or 2) said terrorist is not deterred from detonating said suicide bomb and proceeds with detonation in failed operation of said embodiment, resulting in loss of life and destruction of property.

With either end result of, 1) a successful deterrence with no bomb detonation, or 2) a failure of deterrence with bomb detonation, this is where the operational claims and representations of said inventor and said embodiments end.

Notes on Precautionary Procedure.

It is intended that said invention fully satisfy the disclosed objects and optimally perform the disclosed operational functions without presenting harm or nuisance to law-abiding members of the general public notably recognized and acknowledged not to be potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorists. For various reasons to include, but not limited to, humane, medical, and religious, coming into bodily contact with porcine derivative may be contraindicated for some individuals as said members.

As a matter of precautionary procedure, of no presently known operational effect or consequence, intended to eliminate the opportunity for said individuals to come into bodily contact with porcine derivative at the surface of an otherwise benign plaque 7, it is preferred that a surface sealant 11, of the type liquid for application and drying to form a hard, watertight coating, be applied to protectively coat and seal the entire surface area of plaque 7 as a final step after the imbuing of porcine derivative 9, after the application of warning words 10, and before public display.

Large Scale Adaptation.

It is presently contemplated, in substantial conformity with the spirit and scope of the present invention as claimed, that an adaptation of the method of construction portion of the present self-defense device, specifically of imbuing substratum plaque 7 of FIG. 6 with porcine derivative 9 of FIG. 6, and inserting into frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 porcine derivative 2 of FIG. 1, may equally well be utilized on a large scale.

For example, commercial and industrial acceptance and utilization may result in aircraft and motor vehicles, both very high value target platforms for murderous suicide bombers of the recent past, having the inner surface of their outer skin or body serve as suitable substratum for topically applied porcine derivative 9, protectively over-coated with sealant 11, in a preassembly stage of production. The greatest good for the greatest numbers would present with porcine derivative imbued, infused, permeating, impregnating, or topically applied at the manufacturing or production levels of dwellings and buildings construction materials, and to retrofit existing dwellings and buildings, with boards, blocks, bricks, cement, mortar, tarpaper, shingles, dry wall, tiles, insulation, etc. serving as substratum substitute for plaque 7 of FIG. 6. Further, porcine derivative may be inserted as fill into any existing cavities in airframes, vehicle bodies, cinderblocks, etc. serving as stand alone frangible retention envelope substitutes for envelope 1 of FIG. 1.

As such, said aircraft, motor vehicle, home, or building whereat a potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorist has targeted potential victims becomes an embodiment of the present invention as claimed. Completing these large scale adaptations of the present invention device of self-defense would be the public display of respectively modified warning words 10, see example below, printed first to a self-adhesive decal or inscribed upon a placard and thereafter directly and permanently affixed to said aircraft, motor vehicle, home, or building in a manner facing and clearly visible to the general public at all points of ingress and egress thereof.

Detonation of an explosive charge within close proximity of this Shield is greatly discouraged. Such explosive event is likely to cause the catastrophic failure of the containment properties of said structural form, resulting in the indiscriminate disbursal of friable porcine derivative over a vast area of the immediate surroundings.

Notes on Embodiment Sizing.

The reader will have observed the absence of specific dimensional size indicators for all of the embodiments set forth in this disclosure. The general indicator of “enlarged” appears in the text beneath the Figures subheading of the Drawings section in reference to views of the basic unit FIGS. 1-5. These absences and generalities are intentional and, for reasons explained below, necessary.

The foregoing is so because during the design and development stages of creating the present invention, while seeking to configure embodiments which would serve the best applications for the greatest number of people, with respect to achieving optimal embodiment sizing in relation to achieving optimal operational preparedness/effectiveness, it became evident that end user variables were impacting embodiment sizing. As the number of end user variables increased, the probability of providing specific dimensional size indicators decreased. A determination was made that end user variables are presently unavoidable and not yet quantifiable.

Readers may more easily assess for themselves the impact of end user variables in the following examples.

A private armed security firm desires a single embodiment configured for optimal operational effectiveness resulting in a blanket of porcine derivative disbursal over the entire passenger cabin area of their substantially large jet aircraft. It is determined that in order to achieve such result in operational effectiveness, operational preparedness must present with first embodiment FIG. 6 having the envelope 1 of FIG. I enlarged in size and shape to approximate that of a 354 ML soft drink can and having a coinciding increased volume in fill of porcine derivative 2 of FIG. 1. A private taxicab company desires its fleet of cars to be outfitted with an embodiment to be permanently attached to the driver side of the thermoplastic polymer cabin divider located immediately behind the head of a seated cabdriver and in a manner which results in warning words 10 of FIG. 6 facing the fare or passenger area.

Due to previous installation of the thermoplastic polymer divider, driver headroom at the proposed attachment area had already been significantly reduced to the point where this end user variable resulted in a first embodiment plaque 7 of FIG. 6 with plate reduced to a thickness common to that of ordinary cardboard, while because recessed cavity 8 rested above the head of the cabdriver it was appropriate to install basic unit FIG. 1 into this configuration at a size just slightly smaller than shown in the FIG. 1 Drawings 1/2.

A single embodiment for an enclosed office lobby, gymnasium, or warehouse space may require said first embodiment FIG. 6 to present as having said envelope 1 of FIG. 1 in an enlarged liter or multiple liter size and having a coinciding increased volume in fill of porcine derivative 2 of FIG. 1, with plaque 7 of FIG. 6 presenting in an enlarged size measured in meters of height and width.

The bad news is that there is no one size fits all here.

The good news is that in accordance with one stated object, the object to be of simple and inexpensive construction, production times and materials costs have not been significantly impacted by end user variables.

Notes on Warning Words 10.

For all of the reasons explained at the foregoing subheading of Notes on Embodiment Sizing, pertaining to end user variables, and for the additional reason that variables impacting individual letter sizing determinations present upon consideration of probable lines of sight, distances of sight, and speeds of travel of the potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorists targeted for opportunity to clearly observe and recognize, by their legibility, the warning and disclosure inherent in warning words 10, there is no one size fits all for recommended sizing of type for letters of warning words 10.

Demonstratively anticipating the site of public display to be outwardly facing from a gatehouse immediately adjacent to the main gate of vehicular ingress/egress to either an aviation compound, industrial complex, or research or manufacturing facility, and demonstratively anticipating the line of sight of a surveillant potential fanatical religious suicide bomb wielding terrorist to be direct although transient as originating from a relatively slow-moving reconnaissance—not yet fast—moving car bomb—vehicle, it may reasonably be expected that warning words 10 would be appropriately visible were they to be presented in lettering approximately three centimeters in height.

As may readily be concluded following examination of the foregoing exemplars based upon variables presented by said terrorists targeted, each site selected for public display of an embodiment will introduce its own formula impacting considerations and determinations on sizing the lettering of warning words 10, having a coinciding impact upon plaque 7 sizing in addition to the previously explained end user impact.

In addition, warning words 10, as disclosed herein, may be amended to appear in many different forms of word structure, adapted to situationally diverse presentments of embodiments, provided that said forms sufficiently serve notice that: 1) a significant quantity of porcine derivative is present at or near the location of said warning words 10, as amended, 2) a bomb blast had in close proximity thereof is likely to cause said porcine derivative to be disbursed over an area of the immediate surroundings thereof, and 3) therefore, such bomb blast is discouraged.

at or near main entrance—both vehicle and pedestrian,

at or near centers of high concentration of persons.

Said inventor does not intend to portray or present any disrespect or persecution of any person, religion, belief, or text whether in the form of this disclosure document or in any other manner whatsoever. Said embodiments as representative forms of said invention device as presently contemplated are not intended and have never been intended to portray or present any disrespect or persecution of any person, religion, belief, or text.

Said inventor intends that said embodiments operate only in defense of planned or imminent attack, never offensively—as that word has application both to causing resentful displeasure and being the first to attack without prior provocative display of imminent danger—to the intended end of successfully accomplishing its namesake purpose of Suicide Bomb Deterrent, and the protecting and preserving of all life and property otherwise in mortal and destructive danger.

Said inventor intends that said embodiments convey to all potential fanatical religious suicide bombing terrorists a clear, distinctive, and unmistakable message of

CONCLUSION, RAMIFICATIONS, AND SCOPE

Thus the reader will see that several advantages of one or more aspects of at least one embodiment of said Suicide Bomb Deterrent provides a reliable, portable, and economical self-defense device providing personally controlled preemption of harm to living persons of the general public against potential fanatical religious suicide bombers, which is decorative, artful and appealing and may be affixed to a wall of a dwelling or place of business for public display either indoors or outdoors by means of plaque 7 of FIG. 6 described in the first and second embodiments, or easily displayed publicly by persons of any age by means of a necklace in the form of a chain 6 of FIG. 2 holding basic unit FIG. 1 described in the alternative version, each embodiment or version readily producing a useful, concrete, and tangible result of preemptive warning and deterrence. The embodiments manipulate a hoofed mammal of the family Suidae, order Artiodoctyla, comprising Sus scrofa into presenting as a suicide bomb deterrent.

While the foregoing descriptions contain much specificity, they are not intended to be exhaustive or serve as limitations on the scope of possible embodiments, but rather as teaching and illustrative exemplars. Many other ramifications and variations are possible within the teachings, for instance in the state of matter of said porcine derivative and method and means of its presentment integration, and upon manner and mode of public display. For example, it is presently contemplated that said basic unit FIG. 1 of the embodiments may contain said porcine derivative in either solid, powdered or liquid state, and may by itself as basic unit FIG. 1 be easily affixed as a stand alone module to an arm bracelet, finger or toe ring, earrings, belt buckle, hat or article of jewelry or clothing, or to an animal's collar. Further, the first embodiment shown at FIG. 6 may be mounted upon any flat surface of any structure, pillar, pole, or post, whether located inside or outside, of any public assembly or recreation area, or upon transportation vehicles, upon luggage, and upon pet collars. Furthermore, it is presently contemplated that said warning words 10 upon plaque 7 of FIG. 6 may be translated from American English into Arabic, French, and Hebrew with each transliteration, or any combination thereof, appearing upon plaque 7 along with said American English, in order to provide a multinational warning; although for display outside the United States the language of country where displayed should also be included or substituted as appropriate.

In additional embodiments, ramifications, and variations presently contemplated, plaque 7 of FIG. 6 and frangible retention envelope 1 of FIG. 1 may suitably be constructed of other materials, such as plastic or clay, and may present in any other shape, such as circular, oval, trapezoidal triangular, octagonal, square, rectangular, tubular, conical, cubed, spherical, pyramidal, etc., with any shape working suitable well. Further, plaque 7 may be constructed or fitted with a surface resting base for public display upon any suitable surface, such as a counter top, desk, shelf, bookcase, table, etc., with such manner and mode of public display working equally as well as the mountable exemplar presented herein. Basic unit FIG. 1 could likewise be fitted with a surface resting base within the parameters presently contemplated. Said surface resting base could present either imbued with porcine derivative or not, provided porcine derivative is present in the integral attachment to said base of either basic unit FIG. 1 or imbued plaque 7.

Furthermore, it is presently contemplated that the plaque 7 imbued with porcine derivative mixture 9 of FIG. 6 and presenting with warning words 10 of FIG. 6 could as an acceptable modular variation stand alone suitably well. Additionally, porcine derivative, where imbued may equally as well be infused, permeating, impregnating, or topically applied. Other ratios more or less of said powdered pig bone to said paint or to a reasonable substitute imbuing agent such as varnish or sealer are suitable, provided such ratio does not present as zero parts of said powdered pig bone; some porcine derivative present being a key requisite, more than the medium of suspension application. Plaque 7 would function equally well as any frangible substratum with holes, channels, or the like created in its surface area, filled with either liquid or powdered porcine derivative, and capped or sealed off such that said porcine derivative is permanently affixed to or within the body of such substitute substratum for plaque 7.

This disclosure document describes the present invention in forms and manners of static physical presentment ranging from the basic unit of FIG. 1 small enough to be worn as an amulet upon a necklace, to the larger yet easily portable first embodiment which provides for warning and deterrence at a dwelling or place of business, through to adaptation of method or process which transforms the very dwelling or building itself, along with the aircraft which overfly and the motor vehicles which drive by, into the largest embodiments of their kind presently contemplated for the instant Suicide Bomb Deterrent, to the end of full circle back to hoping that suicide bombings would end so that no more people would die in such manner.

The foregoing detailed description of the several embodiments of the present invention as presently contemplated have shown and described a novel manufacture which fulfills all of the objects and advantages sought therefore. Said description has been presented for purposes of teaching by illustration and description. It is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit said invention to the precise form disclosed. Many modifications, variations, and alternative embodiments are possible and may become evident in light of the above teaching without departing from the invention herein. It is intended that the scope of said invention be limited not by this detailed description, but rather by the spirit and scope of the claims appended hereto. All alternative embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of said invention claims are deemed hereby to be covered by said invention.

Claims

1. A device of preemptive warning, deterrence and self-defense, against potential fanatical religious suicide bombers, comprising a frangible retention envelope with fill of porcine derivative.

2. The device of claim 1 further including said envelope is hermetically sealed after the introduction of said fill.

3. A device of preemptive warning, deterrence and self-defense against potential fanatical religious suicide bombers, comprising:

(a) a frangible retention envelope,

(b) porcine derivative situated within said envelope,

(c) means to stabilize said derivative in suspension situated within said envelope,

(d) means to preserve said derivative from organic decay situated within said envelope,

(e) means to hermetically seal said envelope after insertion of fill comprising porcine derivative, stabilizer, and preservative,

(f) a substratum of solid yet frangible material,

(g) means to imbue said substratum with porcine derivative,

(h) means to secure said hermetically sealed envelope to said substratum,

(i) means to warn persons of content and operation of said device, and

(j) means to publicly display said device.

4. The device of claim 3, wherein said porcine derivative situated within said envelope is pig blood in liquid state.

5. The device of claim 3, wherein said means to stabilize said derivative is an anticoagulant.

6. The device of claim 3 wherein said substratum of solid yet frangible material comprises a thin, flat plaque of wood.

7. The device of claim 3, wherein said porcine derivative imbuing said substratum is pig bone.

8. The device of claim 3, wherein said means to imbue said substratum with porcine derivative includes painting the surface of said substratum with a mixture comprising approximately one part powdered pig bone fixed from organic decay by preservative to four parts liquid imbuing agent.

9. A method of preemptive warning and deterrence against a potential fanatical religious suicide bomber, comprising:

(a) providing a frangible material,

(b) providing means to infuse said frangible material with a predetermined quantity of porcine derivative, and

(c) providing a publicly displayed warning of the presence of frangible material infused with porcine derivative, and probable consequences of catastrophic failure of said frangible material infused with said porcine derivative, and subsequently resulting wide area disbursal of porcine derivative upon detonation of an explosive charge in close proximity thereof.

10. The method of claim 9 wherein said frangible material is selected from a group consisting of envelopes and solids.
