GOLF MAT FOR GOLF PRACTICE

The present invention provides a golf mat for a golf practice which makes it possible to allow a player to have a correct posture when in an indoor golf practice, while giving a chance to practice a correct posture. The golf mat for a golf practice comprises a base member placed on a flat floor surface for a golf practice; and a plurality of absorption members which are secured on a lower surface of the base member and are absorbed on a flat floor surface, thus fixing the base member, so the base member does not move.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a golf mat for a golf practice which makes it possible to practice golf indoor under the condition very similar with an actual field, and in particular to a golf mat for a golf practice in which a golf mat can keep being fixed at a floor even when a club head hits a golf mat during a swing practice indoor.

BACKGROUND ART

A golf mat is generally designed to spread on a floor instead of a natural lawn in order for a practicer to practice a golf with a golf ball being placed on a golf tee under the conditions very similar with an actual field when a practicer practices a swing or a putting at an indoor practice field, at home or work. The above golf mat is usually used when a practicer practices a tee shot, an iron shot, a chip shot or a putting shot.

FIGS. 5 and 6 are cross sectional views illustrating a conventional golf mat. The conventionally used golf mat is manufactured in such a way that an artificial lawn 1 is adhered at an upper surface of a rubber board 2 spread on a floor. A thin urethane foam 4 is adhered at a lower surface of the rubber board 2. Alternatively, a urethane foam 4 to be spread on a floor is made thick, and then an artificial lawn 1 is spread thereon. When a practicer swings a golf club in order to hit a golf ball 12 placed on a golf tee 10 installed at a golf mat or directly placed on an artificial lawn 1, a gold club might come into contact with a rubber board 2 past the artificial lawn 1, thus damaging the golf mat. As an impact force applied to a golf mat is transferred to the golf mat, the urethane foam 4, the rubber board 2 and the artificial lawn 1 are designed to directly absorb the impact, thus making an appropriate golf practice environment such as a tee shot, an iron shot, a chip shot, etc.

The golf mat manufactured by adhering the rubber board 2 or the urethane foam 4 to the artificial lawn 1 is basically provided for the purpose of reducing the impacts transferred to a practicer in the event that a practicer does not precisely hit the golf ball 12 during a swing action, so the golf head hits the golf mat. In the conventional art, the golf mat is generally designed focusing on an impact absorption method, so when there is a miss shot as a golf head hits the floor surface of the golf mat behind the golf ball placed on the golf tee, the golf mat moves, whereby the initial installation position of the golf mat changes, which results in an incorrect shot. In addition to the miss shot, as an impact force of the golf had is repeatedly applied to the golf mat, the golf mat might be distorted or pushed out. In this case, the practicer cannot focus on a swing practice. In the conventional art, whenever a practicer finishes a swing practice, it is needed to correct the changed position of the golf mat, which causes a lot of inconveniences. In the past, a practicer used to practice a swing shot, leaving the moved golf mat uncorrected. In this case, it is almost impossible to correctly estimate a flying direction of a golf ball or a swing direction of a golf club. In order to correct such problems, a practicer has troublesome rearranging a golf mat, so it is hard for a practicer to focus on a golf practice. When a golf mat is installed at a certain indoor space, since a golf mat is not fixed at a floor, the golf mat moves, causing the indoor appearance to look bad.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a golf mat for a golf practice which makes it possible to stably fix a golf mat in place during a golf practice indoor and helps a practicer to have a correct practice posture.

To achieve the above objects, there is provided a golf mat for a golf practice, comprising a base member placed on a flat floor surface for a golf practice; and a plurality of absorption members which are secured on a lower surface of the base member and are absorbed on a flat floor surface, thus fixing the base member, so the base member does not move.

An upper side of each absorption member is protruded higher than a lower surface of the base member, and when it is absorbed on the floor surface, it is deformed to match with the lower surface of the base member, thus being absorbed on the floor surface.

An absorption member engaging part disposed at the lower surface of the base member includes a gap allowing an outward widening in a state that the absorption member is engaged.

The absorption member is detachably engaged to the absorption member engaging part, so the absorption member can be exchanged when it is damaged.

A double side adhering tape is adhered to a lower surface of the base member, with a back sheet being attached on one of the double side adhering tape, thus protecting the same, and as the back sheet is removed, the double side adhering tape is adhered to the floor surface, thus assisting an absorption fixing force of the absorption member.

An indication part indicating a flying direction of a golf ball and a swing direction of a head portion of a golf club is provided at the base member.

The indication part is protruded in a triangle shape with a sharp tip to indicate a destination position direction or is formed of a printing part of an arrow mark indication.

At an end portion of one side of the base member is formed at least one fixing hole for fixing the golf mat at a ground surface using nails when the golf mat is used outdoor.

The base member is made of a cushion member absorbing impacts.

An artificial lawn is disposed on an upper surface of the base member.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS

In the present invention, since an absorption member is provided at a lower surface of a golf mat, thus preventing a golf mat in an indoor space with a surface such as a floor, a tile or something from moving from an initial installation position, which helps a practicer to focus on a practice. Since a golf mat always maintains its initial installation position, an indoor outer appearance does not damaged, and an absorption member can be exchanged. With a double-side tape, a golf mat can be more stably secured in place. Since a golf mat of the present invention is equipped with functions of indicating a flying direction of a golf ball and a swing direction of a golf head, the present invention might help correct a swing posture and enhance an accuracy in impact directions.

MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

The golf mat for a golf practice of the present invention will be described in details as the preferred embodiments of the present invention is described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIGS. 1 through 3, the golf mat for a golf practice according to the present invention is indicated with reference numeral 1. The golf mat 1 is made from a base member 2 made of a rubber material or a foamed plastic material or a fiber material which has a certain cushion effectively absorbing impacts. An artificial awn 4 substituting with a natural lawn like an actual field is planted on an upper surface 3 of the base member 2.

On a lower surface of the base member is attached a plurality of absorption members 6 generally made from a rubber material. An absorption member engaging hole 7 is formed at a body of the base member 2 through the lower surface 7 for an engagement of the absorption member 6. Here the absorption member 6 might be inserted into the body of the base member 2 through the engaging hole 7 or might be thread-engaged into the body of the same for an easier assembly and disassembly, thus exchanging the absorption member 6 when it is damaged

Here the absorption member 6 is a little protruded from the lower surface 5 of the base member 2, for example, protruded about 1-4 mm. The absorption member engaging hole 7 has a certain gap 8 between the absorption member engaging hole 7 and the outer side of the absorption member 6 so that the diameter of the same can be expanded as the absorption member 6 is pressed. When the upper side of the base member 2 is hit against the floor surface 9, the absorption member 6 is pressed and expanded, and comes into close contact with the floor surface 9, thus generating an absorption force with the aid of a negative pressure action, which leads the base member 2 to be fixed at the floor surface 9. The lower surface of the absorption member 6 almost matches with the lower surface 5, and the lower surface 4 comes into close contact with the floor surface 9.

A double-side adhering tape 10 is attached on the lower surface 5 in such a way to cross the width of the lower surface 5 or to surround the peripherals of the engaging hole 7 in a ring shape. As a back side sheet is removed, the lower surface 5 is adhered to the floor surface 9 with the aid of the double side adhering tape 10, thus assisting the absorption force of the absorption member 6.

An engaging hole 12 is formed at the base member 2 for planting the golf tee 11. The golf tee 11 is planted into the engaging hole 12 in the event of a driver shot.

Indication parts 14 and 15 indicating a flying direction of the golf ball 13 and a swing direction of the head portion of the golf club are disposed in front of the base member 2. The indication parts 14 and 15 are protruded in a triangle shape with a sharp tip so that the front end of the base member 2 can indicate a designation position direction or are formed of a printing part of an arrow mark indication 14. The indication part 14 or 15 serves to guide the swing or moving trajectory of the golf ball 13 and the head of the golf club onto a straight line.

A hole 16 is formed at the center of one side of the base member 2 to hang on a wall hanger. At least one fixing hole 17 is formed at the end of the other side opposite to the wall hanger hole 16 of the base member 2, thus fixing the golf mat 1 on the ground using nails when the golf mat 1 is used outdoor.

As shown in FIG. 1, the arrow mark 18 indicates about 15° (hour hand indicate 12 hours 30 minutes) from the golf tee 11 with respect to the central axial line of the base member 2, which means, as recommended by a golf handbook in the event that a player uses a middle iron club, that the player takes a posture of the head of the golf club in the direction of 12 hours 30 minutes, and the arrow mark 19 indicates about 30° (a direction that the hour hand indicates one hour) from the golf tee 11 with respect to the central axial line of the base member 2. As recommended by the golf handbook in the event that a driver club is used, since the ball flies in the designation direction, namely, the direction of the arrow mark 14 by means of a centrifugal force when the player impacts the ball in the direction of one hour, the arrow mark can help the practicer to practice an accurate impact direction through a lot of shot practices in the directions of the arrow marks 18 and 19.

The arrow mark 20 indicated at a rear side of the upper surface based on the central line of the base member 2 indicates an orbit at the time of a back swing action. When a practicer hits a ball with a down swing from the top of the back swing, a nice shot can be obtained when the head of the golf club passes over the arrow mark. The above swing trajectory is formed of a guide direction of the previous indication part 14 or 15 or a guide direction of the arrow mark 18 or 19, and the arrow mark 21 below indicates the position of a body when the practicer takes an approach shot.

As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A golf mat for a golf practice, comprising:

a base member placed on a flat floor surface for a golf practice; and
a plurality of absorption members which are secured on a lower surface of the base member and are absorbed on a flat floor surface, thus fixing the base member, so the base member does not move.

2. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein an upper side of each absorption member is protruded higher than a lower surface of the base member, and when it is absorbed on the floor surface, it is deformed to match with the lower surface of the base member, thus being absorbed on the floor surface.

3. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein an absorption member engaging part disposed at the lower surface of the base member includes a gap allowing an outward widening in a state that the absorption member is engaged.

4. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein said absorption member is detachably engaged to the absorption member engaging part, so the absorption member can be exchanged when it is damaged.

5. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein a double side adhering tape is adhered to a lower surface of the base member, with a back sheet being attached on one of the double side adhering tape, thus protecting the same, and as the back sheet is removed, the double side adhering tape is adhered to the floor surface, thus assisting an absorption fixing force of the absorption member.

6. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein an indication part indicating a flying direction of a golf ball and a swing direction of a head portion of a golf club is provided at the base member.

7. The golf mat of claim 6, wherein said indication part is protruded in a triangle shape with a sharp tip to indicate a destination position direction or is formed of a printing part of an arrow mark indication.

8. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein at an end portion of one side of the base member is formed at least one fixing hole for fixing the golf mat at a ground surface using nails when the golf mat is used outdoor.

9. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein said base member is made of a cushion member absorbing impacts.

10. The golf mat of claim 1, wherein an artificial lawn is disposed on an upper surface of the base member.
