SOFT SEAT CUSHION KIT

Abstract

A portable seat cushion kit comprising: a tote bag, where the tote bag includes at least one handle, an opening to access the interior of the bag and a zipper to close the opening; and a seat cushion, where the seat cushion is stored in the interior of the bag. The bag may include a first side, a first short side, a second side and a second short side. In one particular embodiment, the first short side includes a cell phone pocket and the second short side includes a key pocket. The interior of the tote bag may further include a coin purse, where the coin purse includes a zipper.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a soft seat cushion kit for use at public events or public places to provide a comfortable seating surface.

2. Description of Related Art

Many individuals attend large sporting events or concerts that involve sitting in stadium seats or benches. Many of the sitting benches or seats are made of a hard plastic, metal or a wood surface and therefore may be uncomfortable to sit on over a long period of time. This situation may be problematic for an attendee of a concert or a sporting event and therefore some solutions have been developed to make the seat more comfortable for the user. Some stadiums or arenas have installed cushioned seats and therefore eliminating the problem of a hard seat. Other stadiums and arenas maintain the traditional hard plastic or wooden seats for the attendees. Some attendees carry cushions with them to these events to place the cushion in the seat while attending the event. Supportive cushions have been developed that also include a cushion with a backrest, where the attendee is at an event on a bench without a backrest. Consequently, some alternatives are available for individuals to provide cushioning for themselves. It would therefore be advantageous to have a cushion tote kit that includes a means to transport the cushion to and from the event and provide a protective covering for the cushion during the transport.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a portable seat cushion kit comprising: a tote bag, where the tote bag includes at least one handle, an opening to access the interior of the bag and a zipper to close the opening; and a seat cushion, where the seat cushion is stored in the interior of the bag. The bag may include a first side, a first short side, a second side and a second short side. In one particular embodiment, the first short side includes a cell phone pocket and the second short side includes a key pocket. The interior of the tote bag may further include a coin purse, where the coin purse includes a zipper.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a seat cushion kit that provides a portable means to transport a seat cushion for use by the user. The seat cushion kit according to the present invention is a closed tote bag that seals the cushion within the tote bag where the tote bag includes handles to transport the cushion to and from the particular event.

In reference to FIG. 1, a first side view of the seat cushion kit according to the present invention is depicted. This first side view depicts the cushion bag 20, which includes handles 15a, 15b. The handles 15a, 15b are placed on the top side of the tote bag 20, where handle 15a is on one side of a zipper 17 and handle 15b is on the other side of a zipper 17. The zipper 17 extends along the length of the top of the tote bag 20. A first side 22a is shown in FIG. 1 along with a first short side 27a. The first short side 27a includes a cell phone pocket 24. The cell phone pocket 24 provides a means for the insertion of a cell phone that can be also be transported in addition to the seat cushion.

FIG. 2 depicts a second side 22b of the tote bag 20 according to the present invention. The second side 22b is opposite of the first side 22a which is on FIG. 1. A second short side 27b is depicted also in FIG. 2. The second short side 27b includes a small car key pocket 26 that provides a means for the insertion of car keys that may be transported along with the seat cushion contained within the tote bag 20.

In reference to FIG. 3, a top view of the tote bag 20 is depicted. The top view shows the tote bag 20 in an open position. Zipper 17 is released and a foam seat cushion 30 is shown within the interior of the tote bag 20. Also extending from the interior of the tote bag 20 is a change purse 25. The change purse 25 also includes a zipper 19 for sealing the contents of a change purse 25. FIG. 4 depicts a perspective view of a seat cushion 30 that is inserted in the tote bag 20. As shown, the seat cushion 30 may be used as a seat cushion at any arena, stadium, auditorium or other venues that include the typical hard seating that is usually provided. The seat cushion 30 is combined with the tote bag 20 to create a seat cushion kit that may be easily transported to and from events so that the user may avoid having to suffer on a hard surface while enjoying their concert or sporting event.

Claims

1. A portable seat cushion kit comprising:

a. a tote bag, where the tote bag includes at least one handle, an opening to access the interior of the bag and a zipper to close the opening; and

b. a seat cushion, where the seat cushion is stored in the interior of the bag.

2. The portable seat cushion kit according to claim 1, where the bag includes a first side, a first short side, a second side and a second short side.

3. The portable seat cushion kit according to claim 2, where the first short side includes a cell phone pocket.

4. The portable seat cushion kit according to claim 2, where the second short side includes a key pocket.

5. The portable seat cushion kit according to claim 2, where the interior further includes a coin purse, where the coin purse includes a zipper.
