BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to an undergarment that includes enhancements for the buttocks area.

2. Description of Related Art

Undergarments are clothing that is worn underneath a set of clothing such as a pants or shirt and many times these garments are worn for particular purposes. Many times undergarments provide protection against stains by containing perspiration or other body fluids. Women wear undergarments such as braziers or panties. Men principally wear briefs, boxers or undershirts. Occasionally these undergarments are worn for support and can be worn for warmth or comfort. Some undergarments are shaped or padded to provide a more pleasing body shape for the user. Many women braziers are shaped and designed to enhance the profile of a woman's breasts. Consequently, undergarments have been provided to accentuate the human anatomy and figure. In particular some undergarments have been developed to enhance the profile of the buttocks area. Such as U.S. Pat. No. 5,842,232 which discloses form-enhancing inserts for use in a garment of the type worn on a wearer's body to cover the lower torso from generally the waistline to the crotch and including the wearer's left and right buttocks.

Most of the undergarments that address enhancing the look of the human anatomy however do not include interchangeable padding. If such padding were provided it could increase the options of the users and wearers of such undergarments.

The present invention relates to an undergarment for enhancing the appearance of a user's buttocks comprising: a waist band; openings for inserting a user's legs; a pocket on each side of the rear portion of the undergarment; a seam in each pocket; and a foam insert for each pocket, where each insert is placed in each pocket through the respective seam for each pocket. The insert includes a curved portion, where the curved portion may be place adjacent to the outside surface of each pocket. In one embodiment, the undergarment may be made of spandex. A hook and loop connector or zipper may be used to close the pockets and secure the inserts within each respective pocket.
