Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a computer desk, and more particularly to an innovative one which is designed specifically with a drawer.

2. Description of Related Art

As illustrated in Taiwan Patent No. 86215737 a dual-layer drawer structure of computer desk is shown. Such a mechanical structure generally comprises a desktop, laminate panel, left/right brackets at the bottom of the desktop, upper/lower side guides incorporated separately onto the brackets; the upper side guides at both sides allow for mating and displacement of the upper drawer via guideway or pulley, whilst the lower side guides at both sides allow for mating and displacement of the lower drawer, thus realizing a structure of dual-layer drawer. Yet, as the upper/lower drawer is fitted separately with a keyboard and a holding space, and also installed independently with two guideways arranged vertically side by side, this complex structure makes it difficult for space-saving and convenient use.

Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement in the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve the efficacy.

Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved drawer of computer desk which comprises a computer desk and a drawer unit assembled underneath the desktop of the computer desk, etc. Two parallel slide bars are arranged horizontally underneath the desktop of the computer desk, and also sleeved onto the upper end of two connecting plates; the other end of these two connecting plates is connected to the drawer unit. The drawer unit consists of a mother drawer, subdrawer and several guideway assemblies; the mother drawer is of an inverted U pattern, both sides of which are assembled via a guideway assembly onto a plate correspondingly to these two connecting plates; the subdrawer is assembled at inner edge of the mother drawer, and a guideway assembly is separately set between two external sides and an inner side corresponding to the mother drawer. Moreover, the guideway assembly consists of sliding seats and guideways, of which two first sliding seats are secured onto a plate correspondingly to these two connecting plates; two first guideways are secured onto the external surface of the mother drawer corresponding to the connecting plate; next, two second sliding seats are set at inner side of the mother drawer, while two second guideways are secured separately onto external surface of the subdrawer; with such a combined design, the compact and delicate structure of drawer unit enables to reduce the assemblies and footprint of the computer desk, thus minimizing the cost and improving the assembly efficiency; meanwhile, the drawer can be pulled or drawn more easily, or adjusted more conveniently by the users along two slide bars.

The features, structure and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-7, an improved drawer of computer desk of the present invention comprises a computer desk 10 and a drawer unit 20 assembled underneath the computer desk 10.

The computer desk 10 generally permits to arrange a desktop 11 horizontally on the upper flange of a desk framework, and two parallel slide bars 12 transversely at proper location below the desktop 11, as well as two connecting plates 13; these two connecting plates 13 are provided separately with a slide bushing 14 at both ends of the upper flange, then two slide bars 12 are sleeved with the slide bushing 14, so these two connecting plates 13 are mated with these two slide bars 12 slideably.

The drawer unit 20 consists of a mother drawer 21, subdrawer 22 and several guideway assemblies 23. The mother drawer 21 of an inverted U pattern is provided with a holding space to accommodate the subdrawer 22; both sides of the mother drawer 21 are assembled via a guideway assembly onto a plate correspondingly to these two connecting plates 13. The subdrawer 22 is a common drawer structure; when it is assembled at inner edge of the mother drawer 21, a guideway assembly 23 is separately set between two external sides and an inner side corresponding to the mother drawer 21. The mother drawer 21 and subdrawer 22 can slide separately to form a combined sleeving structure.

Secondly, the guideway assembly 23 consists of a sliding seat and guideway; two first sliding seats 231 are secured onto a plate correspondingly to these two connecting plates 13; two first guideways 232 are secured onto the external surface of the mother drawer 21 corresponding to the connecting plate 13. Meanwhile, two second sliding seats 231′ are set at inner side of the mother drawer 21, while two second guideways 232′ are secured separately onto external surface of the subdrawer 22; the mother drawer 21 and subdrawer 22 can slide separately.

With the aforementioned structural design that the mother drawer 21 and subdrawer 22 form a combined sleeving structure, and the drawer unit 20 can slide along two slide bars 12 via two connecting plates 13, the users can slide it transversely to a proper position; hence, the compact and delicate structure of drawer unit 20 enables to reduce the assemblies and footprint of the computer desk, thus minimizing the cost and improving the assembly efficiency; meanwhile, the drawer can be pulled or drawn more easily, or the drawer unit 20 can be adjusted more conveniently by the users.

Additionally, when the present invention is operated, the drawer unit 20 can be slideably set underneath the computer desk 10, so the operating space of the desktop 10 can be increased, enabling the users to place the keyboard onto the mother drawer 21, and put articles such as stationery or pencils into the subdrawer 22 with improved applicability.

While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
