According to another advantage of the present invention, the combination bed can be detached to have a smaller volume, thereby facilitating and decreasing the cost in packaging, storage and transportation of the combination bed.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a combination bed in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the combination bed as shown in FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a combination bed in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a front frame 1, a rear frame 2 spaced from the front frame 1, two front rails 3 each having a first end connected with the front frame 1, two rear rails 4 each having a first end connected with a second end of a respective one of the two front rails 3 and a second end connected with the rear frame 2, and a plurality of connecting bars 5 mounted between the two front rails 3 and mounted between the two rear rails 4.

The front frame 1 has two opposite ends each provided with a locking lug 11. The locking lug 11 of the front frame 1 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile.

The rear frame 2 has two opposite ends each provided with a locking piece 21. The locking piece 21 of the rear frame 2 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile.

Each of the two front rails 3 has a bottom provided with an upright support leg 34. Each of the two front rails 3 has a side provided with a mounting bracket 33 for mounting a respective one of the connecting bars 5. The first end of each of the two front rails 3 has an end face provided with a locking groove 31 detachably locked onto the respective locking lug 11 of the front frame 1. The locking groove 31 of each of the two front rails 3 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile matching that of the respective locking lug 11 of the front frame 1. The second end of each of the two front rails 3 has an end face provided with a locking flange 32. The locking flange 32 of each of the two front rails 3 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile.

Each of the two rear rails 4 has a side provided with a mounting bracket 42 for mounting a respective one of the connecting bars 5. Each of the first end and the second end of each of the two rear rails 4 has an end face provided with a locking channel 41. The locking channel 41 of the first end of each of the two rear rails 4 is detachably locked onto the locking flange 32 of the respective front rail 3. The locking channel 41 of the first end of each of the two rear rails 4 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile matching that of the locking flange 32 of the respective front rail 3. The locking channel 41 of the second end of each of the two rear rails 4 is detachably locked onto the respective locking piece 21 of the rear frame 2. The locking channel 41 of the second end of each of the two rear rails 4 has a substantially dovetail-shaped profile matching that of the respective locking piece 21 of the rear frame 2.

The connecting bars 5 are mounted between the mounting brackets 33 of the two front rails 3 and mounted between the mounting brackets 42 of the two rear rails 4.

In assembly, the locking groove 31 of each of the two front rails 3 locked onto the respective locking lug 11 of the front frame 1. Then, the locking channel 41 of the second end of each of the two rear rails 4 is locked onto the respective locking piece 21 of the rear frame 2. Then, the locking channel 41 of the first end of each of the two rear rails 4 is locked onto the locking flange 32 of the respective front rail 3. Finally, the connecting bars 5 are mounted between the mounting brackets 33 of the two front rails 3 and mounted between the mounting brackets 42 of the two rear rails 4.

Accordingly, the front frame 1, the rear frame 2, the two front rails 3, the two rear rails 4 and the connecting bars 5 can be connected with or detached from each other so that the combination bed is assembled and disassembled easily and quickly, thereby facilitating a user assembling and disassembling the combination bed. In addition, the combination bed can be detached to have a smaller volume, thereby facilitating and decreasing the cost in packaging, storage and transportation of the combination bed.
