A flush valve includes a dual flush body for connecting to a flapper overflow tube of a bath-sanitation product, a dual control switch box and a positioning base, wherein an elastic sealing gasket is provided on the positioning base and matching with a sealing layer of a flapper base, the dual control switch box comprises a control chain component, a control rotating shaft is mounted inside a rotating shaft cavity of the dual control switch box, wherein one end of the control rotating shaft is connected to a handle, the other end of the control rotating shaft is connected to a push-button by a control swing rod, and the control rotating shaft is connected to the control chain component.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a flush valve of bath-sanitation production, and more particularly to a flush valve able to transfer a single flush toilet into a dual flush toilet with two controlling manners.

2. Description of Related Arts

At present, with the improvements in peoples living standards, modern flush valves have been widely used in the bathroom and replaced the traditional way of hand-by flushing. This brings convenience to people's daily life.

However, among the present flush valves in the bathroom, a majority of the present flush valves are of single flush structure with single push-button or handle. That is to say, each flush is big flow and arranged according to the maximum needed flow after using, which certainly causes a huge waste of water.

In order to avoid the disadvantages of the above flush valve of single flush structure a dual flush structure is invented, which has two flush options of big flow and small flow. People can choose big flow or small flow under different conditions in the bathroom to realize the purpose of saving water. But in the process of transforming the ordinary single flush structure into dual flush structure, the complicated installation and process need to be carried out by professionals because users cannot achieve it by themselves, resulting in high replacing cost of the flush valve.

Moreover, although the dual flush valve can save water, the switch manner of the present dual flush valves on market are controlled either by buttons or handles. Once the flush valve in the cistern leaks or comes across other problems which are required to be changed, the plumber needs to know clearly about the size and type of the cistern and the switch manner. If he failed to do so, he has to buy both two switches. These cause great inconvenience and a waste of resource to the repair worker.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the existing dual flush mentioned above, and provide a low-installment-cost flush valve with two controlling manners which can be easily installed and saves water efficiently.

To attain this, the present invention obtains the following treatments.

The present invention provides a flush valve comprising a dual flush valve body for connecting to an overflow tube of an existing flapper, a positioning base matching with the dual flush valve body for installing the dual flush valve body, and an elastic sealing gasket attaching on the positioning base and matching with a flapper base.

Further, a retaining cylinder sleeved on the overflow tube is provided on the positioning base.

Further, an adjustment circle matching with the overflow tube is provided inside the retaining cylinder.

Further, one end of the adjustment circle is an opening loop with an open part, while the opposite end is an closed cylinder.

Further, a locking component is available on the open part for locking up the adjustment circle.

Further, two locking lugs are provided on the open part of the adjustment circle, and a locking hole is provided on each locking lug for installing the locking component.

Further, the locking component comprises a butterfly bolt for crossing through the locking hole and a locking nut correspondingly matching with the butterfly bolt.

Further, an adjustment insert-plate is provided in the adjustment circle for suitable for overflow tubes with different diameters.

Further, the elastic sealing gasket is installed according to the layer surface of the base, that is, plane to plane or oblique to oblique.

Besides, the present invention further comprises a dual control switch box matching with the dual flush valve body.

Further, the dual control switch box comprises a control chain component connected to the dual flush valve body for controlling the operation of the flush valve.

Further, a rotating shaft cavity is provided inside the dual control switch box and a control rotating shaft is mounted inside the rotating shaft cavity, wherein one end of the control rotating shaft is connected to a handle, the other end of the control rotating shaft is connected to a push-button by a control swing rod, and the control rotating shaft is connected to the control chain component.

Further, a linkage component is provided inside the dual control switch box and the handle is connected to the control chain component by the linkage component.

Further, the linkage component comprises a control link bar and a control slider, wherein one end of the control link bar is connected to the control rotating shaft, and the other end of the control link bar is connected to the control slider; the control chain component is connected to the control slider.

Further, a connecting member is provided inside the dual control switch box and the push-button is connected to the control rotating shaft by the connecting member.

Further, the connecting member comprises the control swing rod sleeved on the control rotating shaft.

Further, a handle-positioning blocker is provided inside the dual control switch box for positioning and installing the handle.

Further, a button-positioning blocker is provided inside the dual control switch box for positioning and installing the push-button.

The present invention has the following advantages:

1) Easy installment, and usually users can install alone without professionals, reducing installment cost, saving water efficiently because of the dual flush structure, and fitting with current products' requirement of saving energy.

2) Since the present invention has two flush-controlling manners of a handle and a push-button, the repair workers can casually match a cistern with a button or a handle, avoiding purchasing multiple components for not sure about the size and type of the cistern or customer's favors; users can choose freely from the two flush options of a handle and a button, which leads to efficient flush-control, convenient use and flexible operation, and simple structure to reduce a cost of change or repair.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Further illustration of the present invention combined with the figures and the preferred embodiment is following.

The Flush valve of the present invention is specifically applied to a toilet in the bathroom. As the FIG. 1 and the FIG. 3 show, the present invention comprises a dual flush valve body 2 connecting to an overflow tube 11 of flapper and a positioning base 3 for installing the dual flush valve body 2 on a flapper base 1.

An elastic sealing gasket 4 is provided on the dual flush valve body 2 for matching with a sealing layer 12 on the flapper base 1. When transforming a single flush valve, the flapper base 1 and the elastic sealing gasket 4 can be installed plane to plane or oblique to oblique as required. For example, if the sealing layer 12 is plane, the elastic sealing gasket 4 should turn over by 180 degrees vertically to a paper and then be installed back.

As the FIG. 1 shows, a retaining cylinder 31 provided on the positioning base 3 is sleeved on the flapper overflow tube 11, an adjustment positioning circle 5 inside the retaining cylinder 31 matches with the flapper overflow tube 11, and an adjustment insert-plate 8 is provided in the adjustment positioning circle 5 adapted for flapper overflow tubes of different diameters.

One end of the adjustment positioning circle 5 is an opening loop having an open part 51 while the other end is a cylinder. Two locking lugs 52 and a locking component for locking up the adjustment positioning circle 5 are provided on the open part 51, a locking hole 53 is provided on each of the locking lugs 52 for installing the locking component, the locking component comprises a butterfly bolt 6 for crossing through the locking hole 53 and a locking nut 7 matching with the butterfly bolt 6; in specific application, the locking component can be other elements with a function of locking up.

Besides, as the FIG. 2 and the FIG. 3 show, the flush valve of the present invention further comprises a dual control switch box 10 providing two simultaneously available flush control manners of a handle 14 and a push-button 13.

The dual control switch box 10 comprises a control chain component 9 connected to the dual flush valve body 2 for controlling an operation state of the flush valve. A rotating shaft cavity 10a is provided inside the dual control switch box 10. A control rotating shaft 15 is mounted inside the rotating shaft cavity 10a, wherein one end of the control rotating shaft 15 is connected to the handle 14, and the end of the control rotating shaft 15 is connected to the push-button 13 by a control swing rod 16. Besides, the control rotating shaft 15 is connected to the control chain component 9.

Besides, a linkage component (not shown in the figures) and a connecting member (not shown in the figures) are provided inside the dual control switch box 10, wherein the linkage component comprises a control link bar 17 and a control slider 18, one end of the control link bar 17 is connected to the control rotating shaft 15 and the other end of the control link bar is connected to the control slider 18; the control chain component 9 is connected to the control slider 18; the connecting member comprises the control swing rod 16 sleeved on the control rotating shaft 15.

The handle 14 is connected to the control chain component 9 by the linkage component; the push button 13 is connected to the control rotating shaft 15 by the connecting member.

Moreover, for better installing the handle 14 and the push-button 13, a handle-positioning blocker 21 and a button-positioning blocker 20 are respectively provided inside the dual control switch box 10 for positioning and installing the handle 14 and the push-button 13.

For the flush valve of the present invention, in specific operation, the two flush control manners of the push-button 13 and the handle 14 bring great convenience to repair workers and users. The repair workers can choose casually a cistern with a button or a cistern with a handle when changing the cistern, avoiding purchasing multiple parts when having no idea about the size and the type of a cistern or customers' favors. The users can choose the manners of the push-button or the handle according to practical needs; when choosing the manner of the handle, turning the handle clockwise or counterclockwise would drive the control rotating shaft 15 to drive the control link bar 17 and the control slider 18, and the control link bar 17 and the control slider 18 further drive the control chain component 9, in such a manner that the function of half-flush or full-flush is activated; when choosing the manner of the push-button, pressing down the full-flush button 13a or the half-flush button 13b of the push-button 13 would drive the control swing rod 16 to drive the control rotating shaft 15, the control rotating shaft 15 further drives the control link bar 17 and the control slider 18, and the control link bar 17 and the control slider 18 drive the control chain component 9, in such a manner that the function of half-flush or full-flush is activated.

As indicated in pictures from FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, when installing the flush valve of the present invention, users can firstly disassemble a single flush drain valve, and then install the dual flush valve body 2 on the positioning base 3, and then install the adjustment positioning circle 5 inside the retaining cylinder 31 on the flapper overflow tube 11 and optionally put the adjustment insert-plate 8 into the adjustment positioning circle 5 according to the specific diameter of the overflow tube 11, and finally, after regulating a location of the dual flush valve body 2, lock up the dual flush drain valve body 2 on the flapper overflow tube 11 by the locking component. The users can easily change the ordinary single flush drain valve into the dual flush drain valve without complicated operations. Simple and easy installment makes it possible to change without professionals. Low installment cost and saving water efficiently fit with people's current demands of saving energy.

It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. Its embodiments have been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure from such principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.

Claims

1. A flush valve, comprising: a dual flush valve body for connecting to a flapper overflow tube, a positioning base matching with said dual flush valve body, an elastic sealing gasket provided on said positioning base for matching with a sealing layer on a flapper base, and a dual control switch box applicable with either a push button or a handle.

2. The flush valve, as recited in claim 1, wherein a retaining cylinder is provided on said positioning base for attaching on the flapper overflow tube.

3. The flush valve, as recited in claim 2, wherein an adjustment positioning circle is provided inside said retaining cylinder for matching with the flapper overflow tube.

4. The flush valve, as recited in claim 3, wherein one end of said adjustment positioning circle is an opening loop having an open part and the other end of said adjustment positioning circle is a cylinder.

5. The flush valve, as recited in claim 4, wherein a locking component for locking up said adjustment positioning circle is provided on said open part.

6. The flush valve, as recited in claim 5, wherein two locking lugs are provided on said open part of said adjustment positioning circle and a locking hole is provided in each of said locking lugs for installing said locking component.

7. The flush valve, as recited in claim 6, wherein said locking component comprises a butterfly bolt for crossing through said locking hole and a butterfly nut matching with said butterfly bolt.

8. The flush valve, as recited in claim 6, wherein an adjustment insert-plate is provided in said adjustment positioning circle for matching flapper overflow tubes of different diameters.

9. The flush valve, as recited in claim 8, wherein the sealing layer on the flapper base and said elastic sealing gasket are installed plane to plane or oblique to oblique.

10. The flush valve, as recited in claim 1, wherein said dual control switch box comprises a control chain component connected to said dual control switch box for controlling an operation state of said flush valve.

The flush valve, as recited in claim 10, wherein a rotating shaft cavity is provided inside said dual control switch box, a control rotating shaft is mounted inside said rotating shaft cavity, wherein a handle is connected to one of said control rotating shaft, a control swing rod is connected to the other end of said control rotating shaft, and said control rotating shaft is connected to said control chain component.

12. The flush valve, as recited in claim 11, wherein a linkage component is provided inside said dual control switch box, and said handle is connected to said control chain component by said linkage component.

13. The flush valve, as recited in claim 12, wherein said linkage component comprises a control link bar and a control slider; wherein one end of said control link bar is connected to said control rotating shaft and the other end of said control link bar is connected to said control slider; said control chain component is connected to said control slider.

14. The flush valve, as recited in claim 13, wherein a connecting member is provided inside said dual control switch box and said push-button is connected to said control rotating shaft by said connecting member.

15. The flush valve, as recited in claim 14, wherein said connecting member comprises said control swing rod sleeved on said control rotating shaft.

16. The flush valve, as recited in claim 15, wherein a handle-positioning blocker is provided in said dual control switch box for positioning and installing said handle.

17. The flush valve, as recited in claim 16, wherein a button-positioning blocker is provided in said dual control switch box for positioning and installing said push-button.
