Smoking area

A device designed to create a smoking area wherever the smoker is located. Furthermore, dramatically reducing or eliminating secondhand smoke exposure to people and the environment by giving smokers the option not to expose their surrounding by utilizing this invention. The three major components of the invention consist of (1) two types of handheld units which are known as horizontal handheld unit and vertical handheld unit. (2) The flexible tube that connects the other two components completing the suction system. And (3) the smoke elimination unit which contains the motor and fan. All three components together create one invention known as the smoking area.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention was not created to encourage or promote the use of tobacco products etc. This invention was created to encourage and promote the elimination of secondhand exposure to all people and the environment worldwide in a new, effective and convenient way.

Secondhand smoke is a class A carcinogen. Not even outdoors is there a safe level of secondhand smoke: Laws that create smoke free environment and prohibit smoking in public places are effective tactics to prevent harm from and exposure to toxic secondhand smoke.

However there is much exposure continuing to take place because smokers don't have many options by way of marketable inventions to help prevent exposure to secondhand smoke. This invention is designed to help fight exposure to toxic secondhand smoke by making it as marketable as possible worldwide.

Existing methods for preventing secondhand smoke exposure are very inconvenient and limited. For example, smoking booths, smoke exhaust systems found in casinos and inventions designed for use in cars and enclosed areas are great ideas but have major limitations.

This new invention can be transported easily anywhere and everywhere the need to smoke arises making it extremely unique.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A device with three components creating a suction system in which the smoker can deposit the secondhand smoke exhaled from the mouth and nose. consequently, eliminating the smoke from the environment including the constantly flowing smoke from the smoking product's burning end.

This invention is related to exhaust systems which utilizes suction and water, or filters to remove secondhand smoke from the environment. Why water? Because water is not man made. It will always do its function and is not expensive and very effective. Primary uses are unlimited, especially when walking, standing and sitting in public places or anywhere people do not want to be exposed to secondhand smoke.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1. Is a perspective view of the invention in it's entirety. It shows the three components of the invention. The three components are (A) the handheld unit from which the smoking product is secured and smoked, also the exhaled smoke port which suctions in all smoke deposited there by the smoker (B) The tube from which smoke travels from the handheld unit to the smoke elimination container. Finally (C) the smoke elimination unit from which a motor creates the suction that forces the deposited smoke to travel throughout the system and eliminated in the container. (E) is a product holder. (F) is an on and off switch. (G) is the battery power location and (H) is the AC power port.

FIG. 2. Is a sectional view of the handheld unit looking from the top. The right chamber houses and secures the product to be smoked and the arrows depict the direction of the smoke being suctioned from the right chamber to the left chamber. All smoke exhaled into the handheld unit will enter the left chamber. All smoke in the handheld unit will be suctioned from it via the left chamber as shown.

FIG. 3 Is a sectional view of the handheld unit looking from the right side. It shows the smoking product securing device. Also shown is the door for lighting the product and cleaning of ashes etc. There is also a transparent area shown for observing when lighting the smoking product.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention, known as the Smoking area, is not a complicated invention to understand and operate. As can be seem from FIGS. 2 and 5 of the drawings it is a very simple machine. Water must be installed in the machine as shown in FIG. 5 (E).

FIG. 2 Shows a smoking product (A) installed and secured in the handheld unit. The access door (B) is opened to light the smoking product. After the machine is turned on the smoking product can be lit. The arrows show the direction that the smoke is being suctioned. The intake port C is where the smoke from the smoker's mouth and nose will be deposited then suctioned through the invention.

In FIG. 5 the motor (B) will become energized when the switch is put in the on position. As a result of the motor being activated, the fan (A) will spin. When the pressure behind the fan (A) falls below the pressure of the air outside of the handheld unit (D), air from the outside of the invention, via way of the handheld unit (D), will force its way into the handheld unit (D) in an attempt to equalize the air pressure.

Consequently, suction is created at the handheld unit's intake port. Any smoke blown in the handheld unit will travel through the handheld unit (D), then through the flexible tube C, which connects the handheld unit to the smoke elimination unit (G). Finally, eliminating the smoke in water (E) or a filter located in the smoke elimination unit (G).

It is necessary to note that as shown in FIG. 1 labeled (G) this invention is powered by D.C voltage battery power. The invention can also be plugged into a 120 volt AC voltage power supply FIG. 1 labeled (H).

The invention is supplied with a shoulder strap as shown in FIG. 7, so that when the invention is in use, it can easily be transported conveniently. Such as when walking on a sidewalk or standing outside on a smoke break. A belt clip is also available which is labeled (D) in FIG. 1.

Claims

1. This invention know as the smoking area has three components (1) two types of handheld units known as horizontal handheld unit and vertical handheld unit (2) the smoke elimination unit and (3) A flexible tube (not hose) which connects the handheld units to the smoke elimination unit.

2. The smoke elimination unit, unlike any other related invention, uses water to eliminate the smoke that is suctioned into the machine.

3. As shown in FIG. 5 (F) the invention can easily be adapted to use a filter instead of the water by disconnecting the conduit at that location and installing a filter.

4. Both types of handheld units are specifically designed to limit the amount of suction to the smoking product by having the suction generated from the opposite chamber therefore not affecting the speed at which the smoking product burns.

5. Unlike related invention this invention is primarily designed to protect people from secondhand smoke in all location and not limited to enclosed areas where people may congregate.
