Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention:

The present invention relates to chest-developing exercisers and more particularly, to a chest developer, which comprises a central bracket configured for positioning on the floor, two smoothly arched track bars respectively pivotally connected to the central bracket at two opposite sides, each track bar having a stand at the distal end for positioning on the floor, and two grips respectively slidably coupled with rollers to the track bars for allowing sliding movement along the track bars by the user when the user is doing push-up.

2. Description of the Related Art:

Due to unbalanced diet, many people get too many refined and processed carbohydrates. Further, due to lack in exercise places, most people do not take adequate amount of exercise daily. Because modern people do more care about the body health, many exercise machines are created and have appeared on the market. However, few commercial exercising machines have the function for training the muscles of the chest, arms and abdomen. There are multipurpose gymnastic machines having such a function. However, these machines are commonly expensive and heavy.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is one object of the present invention to provide a chest developer, which is practical for training the muscles of the chest, arms and abdomen. It is another object of the present invention to provide a chest developer, which is folding collapsible.

To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, chest developer comprises a central bracket configured for positioning on the floor, two track bars respectively formed of two smoothly arched rails arranged in parallel and connected to the central bracket at two opposite sides, each track bar having a stop block respectively disposed near each of two distal ends thereof at each of two opposite lateral sides thereof and a stand transversely disposed at the distal end remote from the central bracket for positioning on the floor, and two grips respectively pivotally mounted with rollers and respectively coupled with the rollers to said track bars for allowing sliding movement along the track bars between the stop blocks at the two distal ends of each track bar. When using the chest developer, the user can do push-up and simultaneously move the grips along alternatively back and forth along the track bars.

Further, the two track bars are respectively pivotally connected to the central bracket. Thus, the two track bars can be biased relative to the central bracket and attached to each other to reduce space occupation when the chest developer is not in use.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an extended view of a chest developer in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the chest developer in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 3 illustrates a received status of the chest developer in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a the chest developer in accordance with the present invention is shown comprised of a central bracket 1, two track bars 2 and two grips 3. The central bracket 1 is configured for positioning on the floor. The two track bars 2 are respectively formed of two smoothly arched rails arranged in parallel and pivotally connected to the central bracket 1 at two opposite sides, each having a stop block 21 respectively disposed near each of two distal ends thereof at each of two opposite lateral sides thereof and a stand 20 transversely disposed at the distal end remote from the central bracket 1. The grips 3 are respectively pivotally mounted with rollers 30 and coupled the track bars 2 and slidable along said track bars 2 between the stop blocks 21 at the two distal ends of each of the stop blocks 21. Further, the two track bars 2 can be biased relative to the central bracket 1 between the operative (extended) position shown in FIG. 1 and the non-operative (received) position shown in FIG. 3.

When using the chest developer, place the central bracket 1 on the floor, and then extend the two track bars 2 to the operative position to stand the stands 20 on the floor, and then the user can rest the toes of the feet on the floor and grasp the grips 3 with the hands to move the grips 3 along the track bars 2 alternatively in two reversed directions toward or away from each other, and do push-up when moving the grips, developing the pectoral muscles and triceps with ancillary benefits to the deltoids, serratus anterior, coracobrachialis and the midsection as a whole.

After each use of the chest developer, the two track bars 2 can be biased relative to the central bracket 1 from the extended, operative position to the received, non-operative position and closely attached together, as shown in FIG. 3, to reduce the chest developer's storage space.

Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
