Pap Smear Pant & Vest

A two pieces garment to be worn by a female patient facing medical examination of intimate organs, said garment one comprises vest component of this line would serve as a wraparound breast covering and would contain strips of Velcro to facilitate secure frontal closure, right and left side ends meeting at the cleavage area. Description

A garment assembly for a human body comprising a first garment element and a second garment element. The above, as well as other advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent to those skilled in the act from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment when considered in the light of the accompanying drawings in which:

DESCRIPTION

“Pap Smear Pant & Vest” is a line of discreet, disposable garments that are specially designed to be worm by female patients during Pap smear evaluations. Fabricated of a durable blend of paper and cloth materials, the system would consist of a pair of pants made available in x-small, small, med, large, x-large, 2x, 3x, ect. Featuring an expandable elastic waistband that would accommodate wearers of virtually any stature. Additionally, the pants would contain a discreet opening in the crotch area, which would only be exposed while the patient is in position for the examination. Made of similar materials, the vest component of this system would serve as a wraparound breast covering, and would contain strips of the hook and loop system commonly known as Velcro to facilitate secure frontal closure. Simple in concept and application, the inventor suggests that to use the Pap Smear Pant & Vest, one would simply exchange one's garments with these coverings before the exam. After undressing, the Pap Smear Pants would be done in the same manner as pull-on slacks. The vest would then be wrapped around the chest area, with the Velcro ends meeting at the cleavage area. In this manner, the patient is modestly covered while also ready for the exam. As the Pap Smear Pants would provide no impediment for the examination the patient need only place her legs in the stirrups, and the conveniently placed opening would allow a physician to expediently administer the test. This design is to provide women with an easy and effective means of maintaining modesty and comfort during these medical examination.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Cervical cancer is a disease in which the cells of the cervix become abnormal and start to grow uncontrollably, forming tumors. In the United States, cervical cancer accounts for 6% of all cancers in women, usually affecting females between the ages of 40 and 55 years. Worldwide, cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women, with over 400,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Fortunately, there has been a 75% decrease in the number of deaths due to cervical cancer in the United States in the last forty years, mainly due to the use of “Pap test”as a screening tool.

Claims

1. A garment assembly for a human body comprising a first garment element and a second garment element.

For mammogram testing a technique of using x-rays to examine the breast in the early detection of cancer. 2. The garment as claimed in claim 1 wherein said garment is disposable.

3. The garment as claimed in claim 1 wherein said garment provided vest line would serve as a wraparound breast covering with strips of Velcro to facilitate secure frontal closure.

4. The garment as claimed in claim 1 wherein said trousers are provided with elongated parts that cover most of the patient legs.

5. The garment as claimed in claim 1 wherein said the trousers would contain a discreet and opening in the crotch area, would only be exposed while patient is in position for the examination.

6. The garments claimed in claim 1 wherein the edges of said trousers are provided with belt made elastic strips.

7. The garment as claimed in claim 1 wherein said garment is sterile.

8. A garment to be wore by female patient facing medical examination of intimate organs substantially as described hereinabove.
