BILL ORGANIZING DEVICE

Abstract

The present invention is a bill organizing device that includes a magnetic base with a front facing with a top left corner and a top right corner and a back facing, a calendar disposed on the top left corner that indicates a current date and a plurality of clips disposed on the top right corner that allow one or more papers to be removably secured to the front facing. The bill organizing device also includes a plurality of bill slots disposed on the front facing to secure one or more bills to the front facing, a plurality of photo pockets disposed on the front facing and a refrigerator with a front where the magnetic base is removably disposed on the front of the refrigerator.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD & BACKGROUND

Currently there are limited alternatives to bill organizers that possess various feature characteristics. Traditional methods of bill and document organization devices often include untidy cabinet storage or occupy entire counter spaces, making the process of locating a desired paper or bill difficult.

The present invention generally relates to an organizing device. More specifically, the invention is a bill organizing device.

It is an object of the invention to provide a bill organizing device that organizes and maintains a plurality of important bills or documents that enables a user to easily find the important bills and documents.

It is an object of the invention to provide a bill organizing device that can be conveniently placed on a refrigerator or other appliance to provide greater exposure of any bills or other documents to a user.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.

Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.

The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

FIG. 1 illustrates a front perspective view of a bill organizing device 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The bill organizing device 100 includes a magnetic base 110, a calendar 120, a plurality of clips 130, a plurality of bill slots 140, a plurality of photo pockets 150 and a refrigerator 160.

The magnetic base 110 includes a front facing 112 and a back facing 114. The other features of the bill organizing device 100 are disposed on the front facing 112. The back facing 114 is made entirely of magnetic material 116 that can be removably attached to any metallic surface that can magnetically secure the bill organizing device 100. With the entire back facing 114 and its planar surface area covered with the magnetic material 116, a relatively stronger magnetic attachment is formed between the back facing and the refrigerator 160 or other suitable vertical magnetic surface. The relatively stronger magnetic attachment is relatively stronger than it would be otherwise if there was less magnetic material disposed on the back facing 114. The back facing 114 is typically attached to the front 162 of the refrigerator, but can be attached to any suitable side of the refrigerator 150. The back facing 114 can also be secured to a suitable metal filing cabinet (not shown) or other suitable vertical surface.

The calendar 120 is disposed on the front facing 112 of the bill organizing device 100. The calendar 120 is typically a calendar that indicates the current date, although any suitable calendar can be disposed on the front facing. The calendar 120 is disposed on the top left corner 122 of the front facing 110, although the calendar 120 can be disposed anywhere on the front facing 110. The clips 130 are disposed on the top right corner 132 of the front facing 110, although the clips 130 can be disposed anywhere on the front facing 110. The clips 130 can be depressed to allow one or more papers to be slid underneath one of the clips 130 to be removably secured to the front facing 110. The bill slots 140 are also disposed on the horizontal middle portion 142 of the front facing 110 and can hold any bills or other suitable documents or papers. The bill slots 140 can be made of transparent or non-transparent material that includes vinyl material or other suitable material. Transparent bill slots 140 allow the bills placed in the bill slots 140 to be seen from the exterior of the refrigerator 160. The photo pockets 150 are disposed on the horizontal bottom portion 152 of the front facing 110 and can hold any suitable photographs or other planar photo material. Transparent photo pockets 150 allow the photo placed in the photo pocket 150 to be seen from the exterior of the refrigerator 160. The photo pockets 150 can be made of transparent or non-transparent material that includes vinyl material or other suitable material. The refrigerator 160 can be any metallic refrigerator that has enough surface area to accommodate the bill organizing device 100. The overall orientation of the calendar 120, the clips 130, the bill slots 140 and photo pockets 150 is designed for convenience and ease of use.

The bill organizing device is a complete organization station with a full magnetic base that secures the bill organizing device to a refrigerator facing, a side of a file cabinet, other suitable appliance or suitable accommodating vertical surface. Utilizing built-in transparent slots made of vinyl or other suitable plastic material, the bill organizing device provides visibility to facilitate location of documents or bills that need urgent attention. The bill organizing device also employs clips for the idea of posting papers such as memos or children's school work without folding the paper or applying a separate magnet onto a metal surface. The design of the bill organizing device uses an attached calendar to improve consumers' schedule maintenance and awareness of bill deadlines. The bill organizing device comes in a variety of colors which include white, black and simulated stainless steel silver to match the user's appliances.

The bill organizing device magnetically attaches to a suitable refrigerator or file cabinet, affording the user the ability to visualize important documents or bills in areas that are occupied frequently. The planar design of the bill organizing device also features photo pockets that allow businesses or families to display visual chronicles or photos of past memories.

While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

1. A bill organizing device, comprising:

a magnetic base with a front facing and a back facing;

a calendar disposed on said front facing that indicates a current date;

a plurality of clips disposed on said front facing that allow one or more papers to be removably secured to said front facing;

a plurality of bill slots disposed on said front facing to secure one or more bills to said front facing;

a plurality of photo pockets disposed on said front facing; and

a refrigerator with a front where said magnetic base is removably disposed on said front of said refrigerator.

2. The device according to claim 1, wherein said back facing is made entirely of magnetic material.

3. The device according to claim 1, wherein said bill slots are made of vinyl.

4. The device according to claim 1, wherein said photo pockets are made of vinyl.

5. The device according to claim 1, wherein said refrigerator front is metal.

6. A bill organizing device, comprising:

a magnetic base with a front facing with a top left corner and a top right corner and a back facing;

a calendar disposed on said top left corner that indicates a current date;

a plurality of clips disposed on said top right corner that allow one or more papers to be removably secured to said front facing;

a plurality of bill slots disposed on said front facing to secure one or more bills to said front facing;

a plurality of photo pockets disposed on said front facing; and

a refrigerator with a front where said magnetic base is removably disposed on said front of said refrigerator.

7. The device according to claim 6, wherein said back facing is made entirely of magnetic material.

8. The device according to claim 6, wherein said bill slots are made of transparent material.

9. The device according to claim 6, wherein said bill slots are made of vinyl.

10. The device according to claim 6, wherein said photo pockets are made of transparent material.

11. The device according to claim 6, wherein said photo pockets are made of vinyl.

12. The device according to claim 6, wherein said refrigerator front is metal.

13. A bill organizing device, comprising:

a magnetic base with a front facing with a top left corner, a middle portion, a horizontal middle portion, a top right corner and a horizontal bottom portion and a back facing;

a calendar disposed on said top left corner that indicates a current date;

a plurality of clips disposed on said top right corner that allow one or more papers to be removably secured to said front facing;

a plurality of bill slots disposed on said horizontal middle portion to secure one or more bills to said front facing;

a plurality of photo pockets disposed on said horizontal bottom portion; and

a metal refrigerator with a front where said magnetic base is removably disposed on said front of said refrigerator.

14. The device according to claim 13, wherein said back facing is made entirely of magnetic material.

15. The device according to claim 13, wherein said bill slots are made of transparent material.

16. The device according to claim 13, wherein said bill slots are made of non-transparent material.

17. The device according to claim 13, wherein said bill slots are made of vinyl.

18. The device according to claim 13, wherein said photo pockets are made of transparent material.

19. The device according to claim 13, wherein said photo pockets are made of non-transparent material.

20. The device according to claim 13, wherein said photo pockets are made of vinyl.
