WEAR-A-MARK MAGNETIC CHANGEABLE PENDANT - LIFESTYLE EXPRESSION

Systems and methods disclosed for magnetically changeable pendant necklace that uses metal-based surfaces of decorative emblems, which adhere to a base containing a strong, high gauss magnet. To allow the wearer a great deal of flexibility in changing the pendant design without the use of any mechanical means. The magnet is designed in as a part of the pendant. The holding mechanism is of a high gauss magnet and is designed to allow the decorative element to attach itself to the magnetic base. The decorative element can be attached or removed with the least amount of effort and without any tools or any special knowledge or skill. The decorative element can be removed with a slight push of the fingers. Serves two functions; one for the Game of Golf and the other as a Fashion Statement. Safe, secure and fashionable necklace/pendant. Allows wearer to choose from a large assortment of pendants and match the style with the clothes without having to purchase a new necklace each time. Economical and elegant and can be worn with almost all styles of outfits and can be used by women of all age groups. Adjustable necklace allows use by women of all age groups.

This application claims priority to the following co-pending application: Provisional application Ser. No. 12/901,935, filed on Oct. 11, 2010, and entitled “WEAR-A-MARK MAGNETIC CHANGEABLE PENDANT—LIFESTYLE EXPRESSION,” which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety.

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to interchangeable jewelry including, but not limited to necklaces, pendants, earrings, etc.

BACKGROUND

The need for an elegant, safe, easy to operate and economical pendant led to the development of the Wear-A-Mark™.

The Wear-A-Mark™ necklace is designed as a practical and functional way of carrying Navika's Mark Your Spot™ ball markers, any other ball markers or decorative ornaments with magnetic capabilities without the need for a hat or pockets, and without causing harm to one's clothing. This elegant piece of jewelry is made of stainless steel, in conformance with California's prop. 65, thus being lead and nickel free. Wear-A-Mark™ not only provides a place to keep a ball marker on the course but is fashionable even off the course.

Wear-A-Mark™ allows the wearer a great deal of flexibility in changing the pendant design to match their outfit or mood without the use of any mechanical means. The holding mechanism is of a high gauss magnet and is designed to allow the decorative element to attach itself to the magnetic base. The decorative element can be attached or removed with the least amount of effort and without any tools or any special knowledge or skill. The decorative element can be removed with a slight push of the fingers.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Made using various metals such as (but not limited to) base metal, zinc alloy, brass and Sterling Silver. The pendant itself is removable and thus provides the wearer the ability to switch the pendant from chain to chain. In addition, a magnet is embedded into the pendant to allow for use with our Mark Your Spot™ ball marker, or other ball markers and decorative pieces with magnetic qualities during the game of golf or off the course for stylish purposes. The Wear-A-Mark™ can be marked/cast in various shapes for customized promotional purposes. Specifically designed as a lightweight elegant and convenient way to carry a ball marker, during the game of golf. This design includes embellishing the pendant with die stamping, imprinting and crystals.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

It is noted that the appended drawings illustrate only exemplary embodiments of the invention and are, therefore, not to be limiting of its scope, for the invention may admit to other equally effective embodiments.

FIG. 1 is a diagram for a necklace including a detachable pendant having a base with an embedded magnet.

FIG. 2 is a diagram of a necklace including a detachable pendant having a base with an embedded magnet and an interchangeable ball marker or decorative unit removed from the base, magnet, and pendant.

FIG. 3 is a diagram of a necklace including a detachable pendant having a base with an embedded magnet and a view of the reverse side of the pendant with embedded magnet, which is customizable for promotional items.

FIG. 4 is a diagram of a necklace including a detachable pendant having a base with an embedded magnet and an interchangeable ball marker or decorative unit.

FIG. 5 is a side view of the pendant base and embedded magnet facing both up and down. In this diagram, the detachable bale is more clearly shown.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To allow the wearer a great deal of flexibility in changing the pendant design without the use of any mechanical means. The magnet is designed in as a part of the pendant. The holding mechanism is of a high gauss magnet and is designed to allow the decorative element such as, but not limited to, Navika's Mark Your Spot™ ball markers to attach itself to the magnetic base. The decorative element can be attached or removed with the least amount of effort as in with the slight push of the fingers and without any tools, special knowledge, or skill.

Several advantages of the Wear-A-Mark™ include: (1) A fashionable way to carry Navika's Mark Your Spot™ Ball Markers or any other marker or unit. (2) Serves two functions; one for the Game of Golf and the other as a fashion statement. Allows wearer to change the decorative pendant or use it as a ball marker in the game of golf without any mechanical attachments . (3) The magnet allows for easy change without damaging fingernails. (4) Safe, secure and fashionable necklace/pendant. (5) Lightweight/ Strong. (6)Allows wearer to choose from a large assortment of pendants and match the style with the clothes without having to purchase a new necklace each time. (7) Economical and elegant and can be worn with almost all styles of outfits and can be used by women of all age groups. (8) Adjustable necklace allows use by women of all age groups.

FIG. 1 is a diagram for an embodiment 100 including a stainless steel, nickel free necklace 101 including a detachable and interchangeable pendant 106. The chain necklace 101 is attached to the metal decoration 103 which is adorned with crystals 104 by the connection rings 103. The pendant 106 is removable by unclasping the bale 105 allowing for the pendant itself 106 to be interchanged with other chains.

FIG. 2 is a diagram of the base with pendant hanger 107 with the embedded magnet 108 where the interchangeable decorative Mark Your Spot™ ball marker or ornament 111 has been removed from the pendant 106, base 107, or magnet 108. Once again, the pendant 106 base and hanger are connected to the bale 105 which is attached and removable to the metal decoration 103 adorned with crystals 104. The metal decoration 103 is attached to the necklace chain 101 by the connection rings 102.

FIG. 3 is a front and back view of the pendant 106, base and hanger 107 and metal decoration 103. The chain necklace 101 is attached to the metal decoration 103 by the connection rings 102 which attach at the holes for chain connection 109. Hanging from the metal decoration 103 is the detachable bale 105 which fixes the pendant 106 by way of the base and hanger 107. The back view of the pendant 106 depicts a customizable surface which may be engraved, imprinted, or crystallized.

FIG. 4 is a diagram of the base with pendant hanger 107 with the embedded magnet 108 where the interchangeable decorative Mark Your Spot™ ball marker or ornament 111 has been removed from the pendant 106, base 107, or magnet 108. Once again, the pendant 106 base and hanger are connected to the bale 105 which is attached and removable to the metal decoration 103 adorned with crystals 104. The metal decoration 103 is attached to the necklace chain 101 by the connection rings 102.

FIG. 5 is a side view of the pendant 106 which is engraveable/customizable and the embedded magnet 108 where the interchangeable ball marker or ornament 111 has been removed from the base 107 and magnet 108. The arrow 502 represents the intended viewing direction for the pendant 106. The surfaces of the pendant 106, base and hanger 107, ball marker or ornament 111 can each be customized in any shape, color, decoration, etc as desired.

Claims

1. A Magnetic Jewelry assembly, comprising: a base in various shapes, which includes a high gauss magnet; and a decorative emblem of metal material that adheres to the base pendant by way of the magnet; Such emblem takes various forms in different shapes and sizes.

2. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 1, wherein the base has a width that is smaller than the width of the emblem element (second surface).

3. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 2, wherein the magnet has a width that is smaller than the width of the base element creating a flat surface(first surface).

4. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 3, wherein the base and the decorative emblem are of different shapes.

5. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 1, wherein the base is attached to a distinctive circular bezel embellished with crystals.

6. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 5, wherein the base and circular bezel have a chain attachment; the base is configured to be an attached pendant for a necklace.

7. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 3, wherein the base comprises decorative features.

8. The magnetic jewelry assembly of claim 1, wherein the base is meant to incorporate decorative emblem created by inventor, specifically Mark Your Spot™ Ball Marker.
