CHAIR GAS LIFT ALLOWING EASY DISASSEMBLY

A chair gas lift allowing easy disassembly is revealed. A gas lift is disposed between a seat cushion and a chair base of a chair. By extension or retraction of a piston rod of the gas lift, the seat cushion height is adjusted. At least one polygonal ring assembly is arranged around a circumference of the gas lift. Due to the polygonal ring assembly being mounted in an opening of a wrench, a force is applied to the wrench to remove the gas lift from the seat cushion easily.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a chair gas lift allowing easy disassembly, especially to a gas lift arranged with an assembly mounted into a wrench correspondingly so as to remove the gas lift from a chair conveniently.

2. Description of Related Art

Generally, in response to people with different height and for sitting comfort, a lift gas is disposed between a seat cushion and legs of a chair. By extension or rejection of a piston rod of the gas lift, the height of the seat cushion is adjusted.

However, after long term use, a gas leak occurred out due to structural fatigue of the gas lift. The piston rod is unable to extend or retract and the chair height is unable to adjust. Thus the only way is to replace a new one for adjustment of the chair height. Moreover, the gas lift receives weight of sitters through seat cushions. And the top of the gas lift is inserted into the base plate on the bottom of the seat cushion so that the top end of the gas lift and the insertion hole are locked with each other tightly. The surface of the gas lift is curved and smooth so that it's difficult to apply force to the surface of the gas lift or hold a tool on the surface of the gas lift. This causes inconvenience and trouble during disassembly and displacement of the gas lift.

Thus there is a need to provide a novel structure of the gas lit for convenient disassembly and smooth replacement. There is room for improvement of the gas lift.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore it is a primary object of the present invention to provide a chair gas lift allowing easy disassembly in which a point of application of force is provided while removing the gas lift from a chair. Thus the gas lift is removed from the seat cushion and the chair base easily.

In order to achieve the above object, a chair gas lift allowing easy disassembly includes a gas lift disposed between a seat cushion and a chair base, and a polygonal ring assembly fixed around a circumference of the gas lift. Due to the polygonal ring assembly mounted into an opening of a wrench, the gas lift is removed from the seat cushion by a force applied to the wrench.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a gas lift assembled on a chair according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a gas lift according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a schematic drawing showing an embodiment of a gas lift disassembled by a wrench according to the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a partial enlarged view of the embodiment in FIG. 3;

FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of a gas lift removed from a chair according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a gas lift allowing easy disassembly of the present invention includes at least one seat cushion 1, a chair base 2 and a gas lift 3. A base plate 11 is disposed on a bottom surface of the seat cushion 1 and an insertion hole 111 is arranged at the base plate 11. A conical portion 31 is disposed on top of the gas lift 3 and is mounted into the insertion hole 111 of the base plate 11 correspondingly. A bottom end of the gas lift 3 is connected to the chair base 2. Thus the gas lift is located between the seat cushion 1 and the chair base 2. At least one polygonal ring assembly 32 is fixed around a circumference of the gas lift 3.

Thereby when the base plate/gas lift is out of order because that the chair is not operated properly or used for quite a long time and there is a need to replace the base plate or the gas lift (refer to FIG. 3 to FIG. 5), an opening 41 of a wrench 4 is mounted with the polygonal ring assembly 32 of the gas lift 3. Then a force is applied to turn the wrench 4 so as to remove the gas lift 3 from the base plate 11 on the bottom of the seat cushion 1.

In summary, although the conical portion on top of the gas lift of the present invention being mounted into the insertion hole of the base plate tightly and firmly due to gravity, the wrench is used to turn and loose the polygonal ring assembly easily for removing the gas lift easily because that the opening of the wrench is mounted with the polygonal ring assembly. Therefore, the gas lift is removed smoothly and is replaced with a new one conveniently.

Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspects is not limited to the specific details, and representative devices shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalent.
