Golf Bag Assembled without using tools or fasteners

Abstract

A golf bag includes a collar and a container selectively attached with the collar. The collar defines first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof and two side ends disposed between the first and second ends. The collar includes an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall. The container is flexible. The container includes an interior surface defining a first segment and a second segment. The container further includes a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment. The first and second joint portions can be selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a golf bag and, in particular, to a golf bag that is assembled without using tools or fasteners.

2. Description of the Related Art

Various stated conventional golf bags, in which, the golf bags each has its collar frame attached to a container which form therein a space for receiving golf clubs. However, such the conventional golf bags still have the disadvantages which are mainly induced from the fact that the collar frame of the golf bag attached to the container by rivets or nails. The rivets or nails connecting between the collar frame and the container have high rejection rate to increase the manufacturing cost.

The present invention is, therefore, intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in the prior art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

According to the present invention, a golf bag includes a collar and a container selectively attached with the collar. The collar defines first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof and two side ends disposed between the first and second ends. The collar includes an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall. The container is flexible. The container includes an interior surface defining a first segment and a second segment. The container further includes a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment. The first and second joint portions can be selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a golf bag that the container is selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.

Other objects, advantages, and new features of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the invention when considered in conjunction with the accompanied drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A golf bag according to the preferred teachings of the present invention is shown in the drawings. In the preferred forms shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the golf bag includes a collar 10 and a container 20 selectively attached with the collar 10. The collar 10 is made of the plastics and formed in an annular shape generally. The collar 10 defines first and second ends 101 and 102 at two opposite ends thereof, and the collar 10 further defines two side ends 103 disposed between the first end 101 and the second end 102. The collar 10 includes an outer wall 11, an interior wall 12 disposed opposite to the outer wall 11, a first space 13 demarcated by the interior wall 12, and a head 14 formed between the outer wall 11 and the interior wall 12.

The container 20 is made of the flexible and soft materials and formed in the shape of a hollow circular cylinder generally. The container 20 has a top 201 provided to attach with the collar 10 selectively. The container 20 includes an outer surface 21, an interior surface 22, and a second space 23 demarcated by the interior surface 22. The first space 13 connects and communicates with the second space 23. The first and second spaces 13 and 23 provide to receive the golf clubs. The interior surface 22 defines a first segment 221 disposed distant to the top 201 and a second segment 222 disposed adjacent the top 201. The container 20 further includes first and second joint portions 24 and 25. The first joint portion 24 is disposed adjacent the top 201 and formed on the second segment 222 of the interior surface 22. The second joint portion 25 is disposed distant the top 201 and formed on the first segment 221 of the interior surface 22. The first and second joint portions 24 and 25 can be selectively coupled with each other.

Furthermore, in the embodiment, the first and second joint portions 24 and 25 are formed of velcro. The top 201 of the container 20 is inserted into the first space 13. The first segment 221 of the interior surface 22 abuts against the outer wall 11, and the second segment 222 of the interior surface 22 abuts against the interior wall 12 and head 14. The first and second joint portions 24 and 25 are capable of coupling with each other, so that the container 20 attached with the collar 10 without using tools or fasteners.

The interior wall 12 of the collar 10 includes a plurality of ribs and at least one vertebra to separate the first space 13 divided into a plurality of partitions to receive the different types of the golf clubs. In the embodiment, the interior wall 12 of the collar 10 includes first, second, and third ribs 121, 122, and 123 extending between the two side ends. Additionally, the interior wall 12 further includes a first vertebra 124 formed between the first and second ribs 121 and 122, and a second vertebra 125 formed between the second and third ribs 122 and 123, hence the first space 13 divided into six partitions. Furthermore, the collar 10 includes a slot 15 disposed at the first end 101, and a protrusion 16 formed capable of installing the golf accessories at the second end 102.

Additionally, the container 20 includes a plurality of sections arranged capable of extending round the collar 10. In the embodiment, the container 20 includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth sections 22a, 22b, 22c, 22e,22f, 22g, and 22h. The first section 22a is disposed towards the first end 101. The second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh sections 22b, 22c, 22e, 22f, and 22g are disposed towards the two side end 103, respectively. The second section 22b is disposed opposite to the fifth section 22e. The third section 22c is disposed opposite to the sixth section 22f. The fourth section 22d is disposed opposite to the seventh section 22g. The eighth section 22h is disposed towards the second end 102. The container 20 further includes a hole 26 adapted for surrounding the protrusion 16. The first section 22a is arranged extending though the slot 15 of the collar 10 and inserting into the first space 13. The second and fifth sections 22b and 22e are arranged extending through a partition formed between the first rib 121 and the interior wall 12, and inserting into the first space 13. The third and sixth sections 22c and 22f arranged extending through a partition formed between the first and second ribs 121 and 122, and inserting into the first space 13. The fourth and seventh sections 22d and 22g arranged extending through a partition formed between the second and third ribs 122 and 123, and inserting into the first space 13. The eighth section 22h is arranged extending though the second end 102 of the collar 10 and inserting into the first space 13. The protrusion 16 extends through the hole 26, and protrudes from the outer surface 21 to provide installing the golf accessories.

Additionally, the golf bag further includes a protecting unit 30 selectively mounted with the collar 10. The protecting unit 30 avoids the golf clubs colliding with the collar 10. The protecting unit 30 includes a plurality of protecting members. In the embodiment, the protecting unit 30 includes three first protecting members 31 and two second protecting members 32. The plurality of protecting members are made of the soft materials. The first protecting member 31 includes a first inside 311 and a first coupling portion 312 disposed at an end of the first protecting member 31. The first coupling portion 312 selectively connects to the first inside 311. The three first protecting members 31 coats respectively around the first, second, and third ribs 121, 122, and 123. The second protecting member 32 includes a second inside 321 and a second coupling portion 322 disposed at an end of the second protecting member 32. The second coupling portion 322 selectively connects to the second inside 321. The two second protecting members 32 coats respectively around the first and second vertebras 124 and 125. Furthermore, in the embodiment, the first and second coupling portions 312 and 322 are formed of velcro.

Thus since the invention disclosed herein may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or general characteristics thereof, some of which forms have been indicated, the embodiment described herein is to be considered in all respects illustrative and not restrictive. The scope of the invention is to be indicated by the appended claims, rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are intended to be embraced therein.

Claims

1. A golf bag comprising:

a collar defining first and second ends at two opposite ends thereof, with the collar including an outer wall and an interior wall disposed opposite to the outer wall; and

a container including a top selectively attached with the collar, wherein the container is flexible, with the container including an interior surface defining a first segment disposed distant to the top and a second segment disposed adjacent the top, with the container further including a first joint portion formed on the second segment and a second joint portion formed on the first segment, wherein the first and second joint portions selectively coupled with each other to provide the container selectively attached with the collar without using tools or fasteners.

2. The golf bag as claimed in claim 1, with the collar including a first space demarcated by the interior wall, with the container including a second space demarcated by the interior surface, with the first space connecting and communicating with the second space, with the first and second spaces provided to receive the golf clubs.

3. The golf bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first and second joint portions are formed of velcro.

4. The golf bag as claimed in claim 2, wherein the interior wall of the collar includes a plurality of ribs and at least one vertebra to separate the first space divided into a plurality of partitions to receive the different types of the golf clubs.

5. The golf bag as claimed in claim 4, wherein the interior wall of the collar includes first, second, and third ribs extending between two side ends of the collar, with the interior wall including a first vertebra formed between the first and second ribs, and a second vertebra formed between the second and third ribs, with the first space divided into six partitions.

6. The golf bag as claimed in claim 5, wherein the container includes a plurality of sections arranged capable of extending round the collar.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 6, wherein the container includes first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth sections, with the first section disposed towards the first end, with the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh sections disposed towards the two side end, with the second section disposed opposite to the fifth section, with the third section disposed opposite to the sixth section, with the fourth section disposed opposite to the seventh section, with the eighth section disposed towards the second end.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 7, wherein the collar includes a slot disposed at the first end, with the first section arranged extending though the slot of the collar 10 and inserting into the first space, with the second and fifth sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the first rib and the interior wall and inserting into the first space, with the third and sixth sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the first and second ribs and inserting into the first space, with the fourth and seventh sections arranged extending through a partition formed between the second and third ribs and inserting into the first space, with the eighth section arranged extending though the second end of the collar and inserting into the first space.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 2, wherein the collar 10 includes a protrusion, with the container including an outer surface disposed opposite to the interior surface and a hole adapted for surrounding the protrusion, with the protrusion extending through the hole and protruding from the outer surface to provide installing the golf accessories.

The golf bag as claimed in claim 8, wherein the golf bag further includes a protecting unit selectively mounted with the collar, with the protecting unit avoiding the golf clubs colliding with the collar, with the protecting unit including a plurality of protecting members made of the soft materials.

11. The golf bag as claimed in claim 10, wherein the protecting unit includes three first protecting members and two second protecting members, with the first protecting member including a first inside and a first coupling portion disposed at an end of the first protecting member, with the first coupling portion selectively connecting to the first inside, with the three first protecting members coating respectively around the first, second, and third ribs, wherein the second protecting member includes a second inside and a second coupling portion disposed at an end of the second protecting member, with the second coupling portion selectively connecting to the second inside, with the two second protecting members coating respectively around the first and second vertebras.

12. The golf bag as claimed in claim 11, wherein the first and second coupling portions are formed of velcro.
