CURTAIN ROD STRUCTURE

A curtain rod structure includes a slide guide rod and a pair of decoration members coupled to two opposing ends of the slide guide rod. The curtain rod structure has two positioning portions for engagement of engaging blocks of two support units so that the curtain rod structure is secured to a wall. The positioning portions are in the form of elongate holes. Through the elongate holes, the engaging blocks of the two support units are adjustable for displacement so that the distance between the two support units can be changed for flexibility.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a curtain rod structure, and more particularly to one having a positioning portion in the form of an elongate hole.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Window curtains are installed to a wall, a window frame or a ceiling by means of a curtain frame or a window rod, so that the curtain cloth can be extended to hang on the window for the purpose of blocking sunshine, decorating or the like.

A conventional curtain rod is fixed to the wall through two support members. The two support members are spaced in parallel and fixed to the wall, and the two positioning holes of the curtain rod is aligned with the two support members to be positioned thereat.

The positioning configuration of the aforesaid curtain rod and the support members is not perfect and needs to be improved. The interval of the two positioning holes of the curtain rod must be accurately equal to the distance between the two support members. When the distance between the two support members is changed, it is hard to align the positioning holes of the curtain rod to the support members. This increases the difficulty of construction. Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve these problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a curtain rod structure to overcome the shortcomings the prior art.

The curtain rod structure of the present invention comprises a slide guide rod and a pair of decoration members coupled to two opposing ends of the slide guide rod. The curtain rod structure has two positioning portions for engagement of engaging blocks of two support units so that the curtain rod structure is secured to a wall. The positioning portions are disposed in one of the slide guide rod and the pair of decoration members. The positioning portions are in the form of holes. The holes have an elongate shape. Through the elongate holes, the engaging blocks of the two support units are adjustable for displacement so that the distance between the two support units can be changed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1 through FIG. 5, the curtain rod structure according to a first embodiment of the present invention comprises a slide guide rod 11 and a pair of decoration members 12 coupled to two opposing ends of the slide guide rod 11. The curtain rod structure has two positioning portions 13 for engagement of engaging blocks 15 of two support units 14, so that the curtain rod structure can be secured to a wall. The positioning portions 13 are disposed in one of the slide guide rod 11 (as shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 4) or the pair of decoration members 12 (as shown in FIG. 5). The positioning portions 13 are in the form of holes 131. The holes 131 have an elongate shape.

Through the elongate holes 131, the engaging blocks 15 of the two support units 14 can be adjusted for displacement. In this way, the distance between the two support units 14 can be changed for flexibility.

The holes 131 each are disposed at an end of the slide guide rod 11 or the pair of decoration members 12. The end of the slide guide rod 11 or the pair of decoration members 12 is formed with a slot 132, as shown in FIG. 5. The slot 132 guides the engaging block 15 to the relative hole 131.

Referring to FIG. 2 or FIG. 5, the slide guide rod 11 or the pair of decoration members 12 has at least one portion in the form of a hollow pipe, so that the hole 131 of each positioning portion 13 is defined in a pipe wall. Each support unit 14 comprises a pair of positioning seats 17, a connection rod 18 which is perpendicular to the pair of positioning seats 17, and the engaging block 15 connected to an end of the connection rod 18. The engaging block 15 is inserted in the hole 131 of the relative positioning portion 13 to lean against the inner side of the slide guide rod 11 or the pair of the decoration members 12 to be positioned in place. The end of the connection rod 18 has a through hole 181, and the engaging block 15 has a threaded hole 151 corresponding to the through hole 181. A screw 19 is inserted in the through hole 181 and screwed to the threaded hole 151, such that the connection rod 18 and the engaging block 15 are connected together.

As shown in FIG. 6 through FIG. 8, a second embodiment of the present invention is substantially similar to the first embodiment with the exceptions described hereinafter. The slide guide rod 11 comprises a slide section 110 and a pair of connecting sections 112 at two opposing ends 1101 of the slide section 110. The pair of connecting sections 112 each is located between the slide section 110 and the relative decoration member 12. When the positioning portions 13 are defined in the slide guide rod 11, the holes 131 of the positioning portions 13 are disposed at the two opposing ends of the slide section 110, or at a predetermined portion of the pair of connecting sections 112, referring to FIG. 6.

One end 1120 of each connecting section 112 is connected with a connector 1122 which is made of a resilient material (such as rubber) through a lock member 1121 composed of a bolt 11211 and a nut 11212. The connector 1122 has a plurality of ribs 11221 formed on an outer surface thereof. When the connector 1122 is inserted in the end 1101 of the slide section 110, the connecting section 112 and the slide section 110 can be adjusted in a rotation way. When the adjustment is done, the bolt 11211 of the lock member 1121 is screwed again relative to the nut 11212. The nut 11212 is moved toward the other end of the connecting section 112 for applying a force to a front end 11222 of the connector 1122, such that the connector 1122 is tightly positioned in the end 1101 of the slide section 110. The pair of connecting sections 112 is coupled to the two opposing ends 1101 of the slide section 110.

As shown in FIG. 9 through FIG. 11, a third embodiment of the present invention is substantially similar to the first embodiment with the exceptions described hereinafter. The slide guide rod 11 or the pair of decoration members 12 has at least one portion in the form of a hollow pipe for the hole 131 of the positioning portion 13 to be formed in the pipe wall. Each support unit 14 comprises a pair of positioning seats 17, a connection rod 18 which is perpendicular to the pair of positioning seats 17, and an engaging block 20 which is connected to an end of the connection rod 18. The engaging block 20 is inserted in the hole 131 of the relative positioning portion 13 to lean against the inner side of the slide guide rod 11 or the pair of the decoration members 12 to be positioned in place. The engaging block 20 has an oblique surface 201 at a front end thereof. The end of the connection rod 18 has a through hole 182 and a threaded hole 183 relative to the engaging block 20. A screw 21 is inserted in the threaded hole 183 and screwed to engage with the oblique surface 201 of the engaging block 20, such that the front end of the engaging block 20 is moved toward the connection rod 18, and the connection rod 18 and the engaging block 15 are connected together.

The feature of the curtain rod structure of the present invention is that the hole 131 is in an elongate shape for adjustment of the engaging block 15, 20 of each support unit 14, so that the distance between the two support units 14 can be changed for flexibility.

The curtain rod structure is secured to the wall by means of the engaging blocks 15, 20 of the support units 14 and the holes 131. The connected portion of the curtain rod structure and the support units 14 is hidden. When the curtain rod structure is watched from a front side, the curtain rod blocks the connected portion. The appearance of the curtain rod structure won't be influenced by the assembled cause, referring to the FIG. 1, enhancing the front view of the curtain rod structure.

The effects of the present invention are as follow.

The feature of the curtain rod structure of the present invention is that the slide guide rod or the pair of decoration members has the two positioning portions which are in the form of holes. The holes have an elongate shape, so the two support units can be adjusted for displacement. The distance between the support units can be changed for flexibility. The present invention can be used widely.

The curtain rod structure of the present invention is secured to the wall by engagement of the engaging blocks of the support units and the holes. The connected portion of the curtain rod and the support units is in a hidden way. The appearance of the curtain rod structure won't be influenced by the assembly to enhance the front view effect of the curtain rod structure.

Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A curtain rod structure, comprising a slide guide rod and a pair of decoration members coupled to two opposing ends of the slide guide rod, the curtain rod structure having two positioning portions for engagement of engaging blocks of two support units so that the curtain rod structure is secured to a wall; the positioning portions being disposed in one of the slide guide rod and the pair of decoration members, the positioning portions being in the form of holes, the holes each having an elongate shape; through the holes, the engaging blocks of the two support units being adjustable for displacement so that the distance between the two support units can be changed.

2. The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holes each are formed at an end of the slide guide rod or the pair of decoration members, the end of the slide guide rod or the pair of decoration members being formed with a slot for insertion of the relative engaging block.

The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the slide guide rod or the pair of decoration members has at least one portion in the form of a hollow pipe so that the hole of each positioning portion is defined in a pipe wall, the support units each comprising a pair of positioning seats, a connection rod which is perpendicular to the pair of positioning seats and the engaging block connected to an end of the connection rod, the engaging block being inserted in the hole of the relative positioning portion to lean against an inner side of the slide guide rod or the pair of the decoration members to be positioned in place

The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 3, wherein the end of the connection rod has a through hole and the engaging block has a threaded hole corresponding to the through hole, a screw inserted in the through hole and screwed to the threaded hole to connect the connection rod and the engaging block.

The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 3, wherein the engaging block has an oblique surface at a front end thereof, the end of the connection rod having a through hole and a threaded hole relative to the engaging block, a screw inserted in the threaded hole and screwed to engage with the oblique surface of the engaging block such that the front end of the engaging block is moved toward the connection rod to connect the connection rod and the engaging block.

The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the slide guide rod comprises a slide section and a pair of connecting sections at two opposing ends of the slide section, the pair of connecting sections each being located between the slide section and the relative decoration member, when the positioning portions are defined in the slide guide rod, the holes of the positioning portions being disposed at the two opposing ends of the slide section.

The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the slide guide rod comprises a slide section and a pair of connecting sections at two opposing ends of the slide section, the pair of connecting sections each being located between the slide section and the relative decoration member, when the positioning portions are defined in the slide guide rod, the holes of the positioning portions being disposed at a predetermined portion of the pair of connecting sections.

8. The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 6, wherein one end of each connecting section is connected with a connector which is made of a resilient material, the connector being tightly positioned in one end of the slide section.

9. The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 7, wherein one end of each connecting section is connected with a connector which is made of a resilient material, the connector being tightly positioned in one end of the slide section.

10. The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 8, wherein the end of the connecting section is connected with the connector through a lock member composed of a bolt and a nut.

11. The curtain rod structure as claimed in claim 8, wherein the connector has a plurality of ribs formed on an outer surface thereof.
