Abstract

A woman's handbag with a separate waterproof, breathable lined lower zippered compartment. The lower compartment's main application is to be used for shoes, sport activities clothing, small business or electronic items or items that are preferably stored separate from the upper compartment of the handbag. The lower compartment surrounds the bottom half of the handbag with a 36 inch zipper.

Description

BACKGROUND

A women's handbag or purse has been historically used for holding various items such as personal and beauty items, wallet, mobile phone, and/or keys that are needed throughout the day. There are a variety of handbag styles that vary in appearance, size and shape. Utility bags are generally used for specific purposes such as for travel, gym, office, or school use.

The present invention relates to an additional singular large internal utility compartment, instead of the single compartment of many bags that contain dividers to separate one's personal items.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

This invention relates to the manufacture of a high end woman's handbag with a lower separate, breathable, waterproof utility compartment for storing shoes, private personal items or business items.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

A woman's handbag, sewn with a leather, canvas or high quality dense material for handbags, is 5 inch deep by 13 inch wide by 13.5 inches high. The bottom 5 inches of the bag is a separate enclosed waterproof, breathable lined lower zippered compartment. The appended drawings illustrate the embodiment of the invention and should not be considered limiting in scope.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The 5 inch long, lower compartment's main application is to be used for shoes, sport activities, clothing, utility, business or electronic items or items that are preferably stored separate from the handbag. The lower compartment surrounds the bottom half of the handbag with a 36 inch zipper. The shoulder strap is adjustable from 15 inches to 36 inches long. Two, 5.5 inch high by 9 inch long exterior pockets with flaps, have two pockets directly behind the exterior pockets, each having a magnetic snap closure.

Claims

1. A soft or stiff-sided shoe, activities and business handbag for carrying women's shoes, small business items, or sports related activities, while allowing ease of access to other personal items to any of the items as needed, comprising:

an upper separate and close-able compartment having an interior lining. First compartment is easily accessible separate from the second compartment; and

a second compartment having a waterproof breathable interior lining with a hard bottom, is attached to the main handbag by zipper. The second compartment is only accessible by its own zipper. and

An outside snap or zipper close envelope pocket is attached behind two exterior attached five inch snap close pockets for personal mail, small notebooks or small electronic items.

2. The stiff or soft-sided bag of claim 1, where there are four vertical side walls of the first and second compartments, the bottom section of the upper handbag is separated by a ridge fabric to the lower compartment.

3. The stiff or soft-sided bag of claim 1 further comprising ridge material for supporting the bottom of second compartment so as to minimize its deformity when items are placed inside.

4. The stiff or soft-sided bag of claim 1, where the second compartment is placed directly below the first compartment. The bottom section is four and one half inches high and thirteen and one half inches wide. The first compartment is eight and one half inches high by thirteen and one half inches wide.

5. The stiff or soft-sided bag of claim 4, where the shoulder straps are convertible from fifteen inches long to thirty six inches long.
