The present invention relates to a cushion for headbands, and more particularly to a cushion for headbands which is provided with a vacant space having a cushion cover shape or an air tube formed integrally with a cushion cover at the rear part of a headband connected to one selected from safety appliances including a welding mask, a protective mask, a safety helmet and a medical device used in industrial fields or medical operations, to provide excellent cushion feeling when contacting a wearer's head during wearing, to have a flexible shape regardless of a shape of the wearer's head, and thus not to generate inconvenience even when the cushion for headbands is worn for a long time.

2. Description of the Related Art

In general, a headband installed in on each of a welding mask, a protective mask, a safety helmet used in industrial fields and a medical device is formed of a synthetic resin to fix the mask, helmet or device to a wearer's head, and thus a wearer may wear the mask, helmet or device by the headband in a manner in which the headband surrounds the wearer's head.

The headband connected to a welding mask, a protective mask or a safety helmet does not form various contact areas with the wearer's head according to a shape of the wearer's head, thus causing discomfort in wearing.

In order to solve such a drawback, a pad may be installed on the headband. The conventional pad is in the type of a fixed cushion formed of a foamed material, and such a fixed cushion is limited in flexible adaptation to all shapes of heads although excellent cushion force may be provided.

Further, a cushion for headbands is connected to the rear surface of the headband so as to adjust the length of the headband according to a size of the wearer's head. Even if the conventional pad contacting the rear part of the wearer's head is formed of a material having high elasticity, the pad maintains identical cushion force (repulsive force) in a designated direction, and thus does not flexibly cope with the sizes or shapes of the individuals.
