Device to keep toilet seat upright
In public restrooms, many people do not lift a toilet seat after use; the following man may just urinate without lifting the seat too. So the toilet seat is polluted. There are many devices try to automatically keep toilet seat upright, but they are too complicated or too expensive, so those devices are not easy to implement. We seldom see auto-lifting toilet seat in public restrooms. This device is very simple, but it is easy to implement and really solve the problem. It can keep the toilet seat clean. The device uses one or two torsion springs in a regular toilet to keep the toilet seat and toilet cover upright.
In public restrooms, many people do not lift a toilet seat after use; the following man may just urinate without lifting the seat too. So the toilet seat is polluted. This device will solve this problem. It can keep the toilet seat clean.
There are five figures in this invention.
One or two torsion springs are installed in a hinge of a toilet seat. When torsion springs are in a relax state, the said torsion springs keep the toilet seat and toilet cover or lid upright, see
If necessary, uses solid material sheets (such as metals) on toilet seat to support one end of the said torsion springs. See
If there is no water tank or wall, we can omit the water tank or wall. If there is a water tank or wall, one or two rubbers are needed to install on water tank or wall. The said rubbers protect the water tank or wall when the toilet seat comes back uprightly.
If there is no toilet cover or lid, we can omit the cover or lid. If there is a toilet cover or lid, two rubbers are needed to mount the cover or lid. Usually the toilet cover or lid is already equipped with rubbers in a regular toilet device. The said rubbers protect the cover or lid when toilet seat comes back uprightly.
When a user uses the toilet seat, he or she uses his (or her) hand to pull the toilet seat down, which causes the said torsion springs in a tension state. The springs' tension is proper so that the toilet seat can be in a down position by the user's weight. See
After using toilet, when the user stands up, the toilet seat will come back uprightly by the force of torsion spring. Because we have rubbers installed on tank or wall, the water tank or wall is protected by said rubbers. Because we also have rubbers installed on toilet cover or lid, the toilet cover or lid is protected by said rubbers.
The user better uses his or her hand to keep the seat move back slowly. But this action is optional.
Claims
