Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to an outlet portion reinforcing member that facilitates reinforcement and repair for preventing the damage of a board, such as a wall material, caused in an outlet attachment portion of an interior wall finished with wallpaper.

2. The Prior Arts

While a relatively easily workable material such as a gypsum board is often used as a material forming an interior wall finished with wallpaper, damage such as a crack or a dent is easily caused in a portion of the material subjected to continuous impact, such as an outlet attachment portion. This prevents the proper attachment of an outlet. The practical purpose of the outlet portion reinforcing member is to apply the outlet portion reinforcing member to such a damaged portion with an adhesive paste, thereby facilitating the proper attachment of an outlet, and also to attach the outlet portion reinforcing member in advance to reinforce the outlet attachment portion, thereby preventing the damage of the outlet attachment portion.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One of the problems to be solved is that, if a part of a board, such as an outlet attachment portion, is damaged, there has been no choice but to replace the board by carpentry work or the like. Another one of the problems is that there has not existed any material for reinforcing an outlet attachment portion.

To solve the above problems, there is provided an outlet portion reinforcing member (the present invention) including: a front plate portion that adheres to a board; a short tubular portion serving as walls of a hole surrounding outlet attachment fittings and an outlet in a center of the front plate portion; and a flange portion projecting perpendicularly outward from the hole at peripheral edges of the short tubular portion. That is, the outlet portion reinforcing member is an outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper, embedded in a wall board to reinforce or repair an outlet attachment portion of the wall board, the outlet portion reinforcing member including: a front plate portion that adheres to a board; a short tubular portion serving as walls of a hole surrounding fittings with an outlet in a center of the front plate portion; and a flange portion projecting perpendicularly outward from the hole at peripheral edges of the short tubular portion on a side opposite to the front plate portion, wherein the outlet portion reinforcing member is inconspicuously placed on a base for wallpaper in order to reinforce or repair a damaged portion of peripheral edges of a cut portion of an open hole of the board. In the present invention, even if a board is damaged, a large-scale construction work of replacing the board is not required, and merely the application of the product of the present invention to the board of an outlet attachment portion with an adhesive paste enables the proper attachment of an outlet. The main feature of the present invention is to attach the product of the present invention in advance to reinforce the outlet attachment portion of the board, and prevent the damage of the outlet attachment portion.

The outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper according to the present invention is constructed by a method of applying it to a board with an adhesive paste, and therefore has the advantage of being capable of being constructed without any special technique, and capable of reinforcing an outlet attachment portion of the board and restoring the damaged outlet attachment portion to its original state more economically and more quickly than the replacement of the board.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a three-dimensional shape of an outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper.

FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram showing a method of constructing the outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A material of a product of the present invention may be any material as long as it is capable of maintaining the shape of the product, such as metal, plastic, vinyl, or a synthetic resin.

The product of the present invention is shaped like a plate having a thickness of about 1 millimeter when viewed from the front (hereinafter referred to as a “front plate portion 1”), and the front plate portion 1 becomes thinner as it approaches its ends. The front plate portion 1 has an outer dimension of from 10 to 20 centimeters, and has a rectangular and short tubular hole 4 for accommodating an outlet in a central portion of the front plate portion 1, and the hole 4 has an inner dimension of from 5 to 10 centimeters. The distance between the tubular hole 4 and each outer side of the front plate portion 1 is 25 millimeters or greater. A short tubular portion 2 is perpendicular to the front plate portion 1, has a length of from 5 to 15 millimeters, and has a thickness of about 1 millimeter. A portion of the short tubular portion 2 on the side opposite to the front plate portion 1 (hereinafter referred to as a “back side”) is bent perpendicularly outward from the hole 4 by from 5 to 10 millimeters, and is shaped like a plate having a thickness of about 1 millimeter when viewed from the back side (hereinafter referred to as a “flange portion 3”).

In the external appearance of the product of the present invention from a side view with the front plate portion 1 facing upward and the flange portion 3 facing downward, both the front plate portion 1 and the flange portion 3 project from the short tubular portion 2. Thus, the external appearance resembles the shape of a sewing-machine bobbin lying, and is so shaped that the front plate portion 1 projects further than the flange portion 3 does.

The product of the present invention is mainly used as a building material for forming an interior ceiling, wall, or the like of a building, at an outlet attachment position constructed with a board easily damaged by impact (hereinafter referred to simply as a “board”) such as a gypsum board. Specifically, the surface of the board on the interior side and the back surface of the front plate portion 1 of the product of the present invention are caused to adhere to each other with an adhesive paste, and fitted into an open hole of the board to which an outlet is attached. Then, outlet attachment fittings and the outlet are attached over the product.

This makes it possible to reinforce the strength of the cut portion of the open hole of the board, and prevent the damage of the board. Further, it is also possible to prevent even an already damaged board from being more damaged than it is, and restore the strength of the board.

If the board is damaged at the outlet attachment position by continuous impacts, the only coping method was to replace the board by carpentry work in the existing circumstances. The present invention, however, makes it possible to restore the strength of the damaged position more quickly than the construction work of replacing the board, which enables the proper attachment of outlet attachment fittings and an outlet.

It should be noted that the above dimensions of the product of the present invention are merely general. Thus, the product can be compatible with an outlet attachment position other than the above outlet attachment position by changing its size to be appropriate for an outlet of another size.

In addition, since the outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper needs to be inconspicuous in appearance after the wallpaper has been constructed. Thus, the outlet portion reinforcing member is achieved to be as thin as possible, without impairing its strength by, for example, bending the material. Further, the joint portion is made inconspicuous by making the outlet portion reinforcing member thinner as it approaches its periphery. This is the end of the description of the outlet portion reinforcing member for a base for wallpaper, which is the product of the present invention.

EXAMPLE 1

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of an example of the construction of the product of the present invention. An outlet portion reinforcing member 5 for a base for wallpaper, which is the product of the present invention, is constructed by a method of applying it to a wall board 6 or the like with an adhesive paste 7 to reinforce, or repair the damage of, an easily damaged portion 9. Wallpaper 8 is applied to the surface of the outlet portion reinforcing member 5 and the wall board 6. Then, fittings with an outlet 11 and an outlet plate 10 are attached in this order. FIG. 2 also shows an outlet box 12.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

The present invention can be used not only in an interior wall but also in any position such as a ceiling or an exterior wall, and can also be used anywhere in any outlet attachment portion, regardless of the type of the board. Further, the present invention can also be compatible with an outlet portion other than the above outlet portion by changing its size.
