DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

A portable cigarette smoke combustor according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be practical exemplary embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but, on the contrary, is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a portable cigarette smoke combustor according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a body 2.

The body 2 may be made of a heat-resistive and light material, and includes a smoking portion 4 at one side thereof.

The smoking portion 4 includes a chamber A1 formed in the body 2 and having a size that enables insertion of a cigarette C.

The chamber A1 is formed along a length direction of the body 2 and thus the cigarette C can be inserted therein. The chamber A1 may further include a fixing member A2 that guides insertion of the cigarette C and stably support the cigarette C.

The fixing member A2 may be formed of a cylinder-shaped metal net or a cylinder-shaped metal having a plurality of holes formed therein. The fixing member A2 has an internal diameter that can insert the cigarette C therein.

A lighter A3 is provided in a portion where one side of the fixing member A2 is provided to light the cigarette C inserted into the chamber A1.

The lighter A3 may use any known type of lighter. A lighter using a gas or liquid fuel or a lighter using electric energy may be used as the lighter A3. An ignition switch (not shown) of the lighter A3 is provided in an external side of the body 2.

A plurality of micro holes 5 are formed in the body 2 for air flow into the chamber A1. As shown in FIG. 1, the holes 5 may be formed in the upper surface, the side surface, or the bottom surface of the body 2.

The smoking portion 4 includes a pressing member A4 to put out the cigarette C after smoking the cigarette C. The pressing member A4 includes a protruding portion protruding to the outside of the body 2 so that a user can press the protruding portion, and the pressing member A4 contacts the external surface of the fixing member A2 in which the cigarette C is inserted and thus the cigarette C can be put out by being pressed with a pressing force transmitted thereto. The pressing member A4 may further be effective in put out the cigarette when being disposed opposite to a support portion P protruded in an inner side of the smoking portion 4.

With such a structure, lighting a cigarette and putting out the cigarette both can be performed in the body 2 so that cigarette smoke can be prevented from being spread to the outside.

It may be easy to clean cigarette ash generated during smoking when the smoking portion 4 is manufactured separately from the body 2 and detachably coupled to the body 2.

A cigarette smoke combustion portion 6 is provided adjacent to the smoking portion 4 in the body 2.

The cigarette smoke combustion portion 6 may be integrally formed with the body 2 or detachably coupled to the body 2.

The cigarette smoke combustion portion 6 functions to receive and burn the cigarette smoke remaining in the mouth of the smoker during smoking.

For such a function, the cigarette smoke combustion portion 6 according to the present exemplary embodiment includes a path 7 having an inlet and an output, a flame generation means 8 provided on the path 7, and a mouth piece 9 provided as a cigarette smoke injection means for blowing cigarette smoke into the inlet side of the path 7 with ease.

The path 7 has a venture pipe structure, and such a structure is necessary to suck out the cigarette smoke generated in the chamber A1 of the smoking portion 4 to the path 7.

That is, a through-path 10 is formed between the chamber A1 and the path 7 and thus a pressure difference generated due to a flow passing through the path 7 so that the cigarette smoke in the chamber A1 can be sucked out.

The through-path 10 includes two or more through-paths to promptly suck out the cigarette smoke in the chamber A1.

The flame generation means 8 may be a small touch or lighter using a gas or liquid fuel. One or more touches 1 may be provided.

A metal net 12 may be provided adjacent to the flame generation means 8, and the metal net 12 is heated by flame to secondarily combust the cigarette smoke on the path 7, passing through the metal net 12.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 6, a filter 14 is provided in the outlet side of the path 7 to filter hazardous substances that may be included in the combusted cigarette smoke passing through the path 7. The filter 14 may have a structure that can be detachable so as to be replaced.

The cigarette smoke combustion portion 6 according to the present exemplary embodiment may be integrally formed with the smoking portion 4, or individually attached to or detached from the smoking portion 4.

Such a portable cigarette smoke combustor according to the present invention is made small in size so that the length and the thickness thereof is similar to those of a cigarette case.

A shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, and FIG. 3, a cigarette is inserted from a side of the smoking portion 4 formed in the body 2 and the cigarette is lighted using a lighter A3 while an end of the cigarette contacts the lighter A3.

A smoker lights the cigarette and smokes the cigarette using a typical method. In this case, the smoker holds the mouth piece 9 with his mouth and blows cigarette smoke inhaled in his mouth to the path 7 rather than blowing the cigarette smoke to the air.

Simultaneously, the flame generation means 8 is turned on to emit flame into the path 7, and then the cigarette smoke flowing through the path 7 is combusted by the flame.

Through such a combustion process, mainstream smoke among the cigarette smoke is combusted such that the hazardous substances are significantly reduced.

In addition, during such a combustion process of the mainstream smoke, the smoker is not holding the cigarette in his mouth. In such a state, smoke generated from combustion of the cigarette, that is, sidestream smoke is generated.

The sidestream smoke remains in the chamber A1. When the smoker blows mainstream smoke into the path 7 while holding the mouth-piece 9 with his mouth, air flow in the path 7 is quickened and thus a pressure difference is generated, and the pressure difference causes the sidestream smoke remaining in the chamber A1 to move to the path 7 through the through-path 10.

Therefore, the sidestream smoke moved to the path 7 is also combusted by the flame generated in the flame generation means.

As described, since the mainstream smoke and the sidestream smoke generated during smoking are simultaneously combusted, spread of the smoke into the air during smoking can be minimized.

Further, during the cigarette smoke combustion process of the flame generation means, the metal net 12 is heated to a very high temperature by the flame and thus substances included in the non-combusted cigarette smoke is combusted in the high-temperature metal net 12 when the cigarette smoke passes therethrough.

In addition, the cigarette smoke combusted two times is emitted to the air along the path 7, and the filter 14 provided in the outlet side of the path 7 filters foreign particles that may be generated during combustion.

When the externally protruded portion of the pressing member A4 is pressed to put out the cigarette after smoking, the external portion of the fixing member A2 surrounding the cigarette is pressed while pressing the cigarette with the support portion P so that the cigarette light is extinguished.

As described, the portable cigarette smoke combustor according to the present invention prevents cigarette smoke from spread to the air from lighting of the cigarette to extinguishing of the cigarette, thereby preventing spread of bed smell and hazardous substances caused from smoking to the air.

In particular, the main stream smoke and the side stream smoke generated from smoking can be simultaneously combusted so that damage to surrounding people due to cigarette smoke during in-door smoking can be minimized.
