LOW CUT SOCK
A low-cut sock having a heel cuff that is completely covered by a heel collar of a low quarter shoe.
This invention is directed toward a low cut sock and in particular a sock that is completely covered by a low quarter shoe.
Low cut socks are well-known in the art and typically are used in conjunction with athletic activities such as running and golf. Yet, even with present low cut socks, a small amount of material remains exposed above the heel collar of a low quarter shoe. Desirable, for comfort and appearance, is to have a sock that is completely covered. Thus, a need exits in the art for a sock that addresses these deficiencies.
Therefore, an objective of the present invention is to provide a low cut sock that is completely covered by a low-quarter shoe when worn.
This and other objectives will become apparent to one of skill I the art based upon the following description, drawings, and claims.

In operation, a user inserts a foot through opening 34 so that the sock 24 covers the user's foot without covering the portion below the user's ankle. Next, the user inserts the foot through the heel collar 23 of shoe 10 such that the heel cuff 36 of the sock 24 is completely covered by the heel collar 23 of the shoe 10.
Accordingly, a low cut sock has been disclosed that at the very least meets all the stated objectives.
Claims
1. A low cut sock, comprising:
- a tubular body having a toe portion, a heel portion, a bottom portion, and a top portion;
- a heel cuff that extends from the heel portion to the top portion and is formed such that the sock is completely covered by a low quarter shoe such that no portion of the sock is exposed; and
- wherein the heel cuff has a non-slip pad adjacent the heel portion.
2. The sock of claim 1 wherein the heel cuff is made of an elastic material.
