GLOVE

A glove has a glove body and multiple pinching elements. Each pinching element is formed on an upper end of the glove body. The glove is advantageous in the pinching elements securing a warmth-keeping effect while a user is wearing the glove, which can be achieved when the pinching element is closed and when dexterous finger operation is required to operate a 3C touch panel, turn a knob or press a button, the fingers are partially exposed by pushing through the pinching elements without taking off the glove. After the required operation is completed, the pinching elements can be recovered to their original position for attaining the warmth-keeping purpose of the glove.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a glove and more particularly to a glove having selected finger end portions with closed but not sealed openings.

2. Description of the Related Art

In places and times of freezing temperatures, people commonly wear gloves not only to keep their hands warm but also to prevent losing other body heat through the hands. Furthermore, frostbite to the fingers can be prevented by wearing gloves. With reference to FIG. 9, a conventional airtight glove 40 fully covers from the fingertips to the wrist and has multiple finger sections 41. The finger sections 41 are airtight and warmth-keeping. Although the airtight glove 40 can keep hands warm, such airtight glove 40 is not practically useful in certain circumstances. A first example indicates that when users intend to drink hot water or hot soup to keep warm, it is difficult to open a vacuum bottle by hand wearing the airtight glove 40 due to insufficient grip between the bottle and the glove 40. The vacuum bottle can be opened with less effort by hand with the airtight glove 40 removed but a dramatic loss of warmth will obviously occur. A second example indicates that when a user operates a computer keyboard, the airtight glove 40 must be removed from a hand of the user for the user to conveniently operate the computer as the fingertips with the glove on are larger than the widths of the keys and it is easy to inadvertently press wrong keys. A third example indicates that touch panels of the most common smart phones or 3C (computer, communication and consumer) products in the market mostly pertain to capacitive touch panels and need static electricity of a human body to be conducted to the touch panels in operation. Hence, when a user with the glove 40 on intends to operate a smart phone or a 3C product, the smart phone or 3C product fails to be actuated due to the unavailability of static electricity due to the insulation of the glove 40. The smart phone or 3C product can be operable only if the glove 40 is removed, again resulting in serious loss of body heat.

To facilitate the movement of fingers, with reference to FIG. 10, a conventional tipless glove 50 has five half-finger sections 51. The half-finger sections 51 are shorter than the corresponding fingers and each half-finger section 51 has an opening for a corresponding finger 52 to be exposed and have free movement. However, the fingers 52 are prone to frostbite and the tipless glove 50 fails to keep the hand warm during frigid weather as the fingers 52 are not fully covered.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective of the present invention is to provide a glove that enables a hand to keep warm while simultaneously allowing dexterous finger movements.

To achieve the foregoing objective, the glove has a glove body and multiple pinching elements.

The glove body has multiple finger sections, a palm section and a wrist cuff. The palm section is connected with a lower end of each finger section. The wrist cuff is formed around a bottom edge of the palm section. Each pinching element is formed on an upper end of one of the finger sections.

Preferably, the finger sections have a thumb section, an index finger section, a middle finger section, a ring finger section and a little finger section.

Preferably, each pinching element is formed on the upper end of one of the index finger section, the middle finger section and the ring finger section.

Preferably, each pinching element is formed on the upper end of one of the thumb section, the index finger section, the middle finger section and the ring finger section.

Preferably, each pinching element is an elasticated circumference.

Preferably, each pinching element is a Velcro fastener.

The benefits of the glove reside in the pinching elements for addressing a warmth-keeping effect being achievable when the pinching element is closed and dexterous finger operation is required to operate a 3C touch panel, turn a knob or press a button with the glove on, which is available when the fingers are exposed by pushing through the pinching elements without taking off the glove. Accordingly, the glove is practically useful in not only keeping a user's hand warm but also allowing fingers to move freely and functionally.

Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 3, each of a first embodiment and a second embodiment of a glove in accordance with the present invention has a glove body 10 and multiple pinching elements 20.

The glove body 10 has multiple finger sections 11, a palm section 12 and a wrist cuff 13. The palm section 12 is connected with a lower end of each finger section 11. The wrist cuff 13 is formed around a bottom edge of the palm section 12. The finger sections 11 include a thumb section 111, an index finger section 112, a middle finger section 113, a ring finger section 114 and a little finger section 115.

Each pinching element 20 of the glove is an elasticated circumference which is formed on an upper end of a respective one of the finger sections 11. In the first embodiment, each pinching element 20 is formed on the upper end of one of the index finger section 112, the middle finger section 113 and the ring finger section 114. In the second embodiment, each pinching element 20a is formed on one of the thumb section 111a, the index finger section 112a, the middle finger section 113a and the ring finger section 114a.

With reference to FIGS. 1, 1A and 5, the finger sections 11 correspond to the fingers 30, and the upper end of each of the thumb section 111 and the little finger section 115 is fully closed and airtight while the pinching elements 20 are respectively formed on the upper ends of the index finger section 112, the middle finger section 113 and the ring finger section 114. With the elastic force of each pinching element 20, each of the index finger section 112, the middle finger section 113 and the ring finger section 114 partially extends over all of a corresponding finger 30 except the fingertip and has an aperture formed through the upper end of the corresponding finger section 11 to correspond to the finger tip. The palm section 12 fully covers a palm of a user and the wrist cuff 13 covers a junction between the palm and a corresponding wrist so that the hand from the fingers to the wrist can be protected against frigid weather while the user is wearing the glove.

With reference to FIGS. 2, 2A, 4 and 6, as the finger sections 11 having the pinching elements 20 are not fully sealed due to the existence of the pinching elements 20 and the pinching elements 20 are elastic, the aperture of each pinching element 20 can be widened by pushing the pinching element 20 toward a junction between a corresponding finger section 11 and the palm section 12 so that a corresponding finger can penetrate through the pinching element 20 and is exposed from the glove to facilitate its movement, such as when turning a knob. After the operation is finished, each pinching element 20 is pushed back to its original position so that the finger sections cover the once-exposed fingers again. Accordingly, the glove of the present invention can be practically used to keep hands warm while still keeping the fingers as dexterous as usual.

With reference to FIG. 7, a third embodiment of a glove in accordance with the present invention is shown. Each pinching element 20b on the upper end of a corresponding finger section 11b is a Velcro fastener. With reference to FIG. 8, when a user intends to use one of the fingers 30, a corresponding pinching element 20b worn on the finger 30 is opened by pulling it apart with both hands so that the finger 30 can be exposed to have a dexterous movement. After the finger movement is completed, the pinching element 20b is pinched by two hands and stuck together to achieve the warmth-keeping purpose.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
