Description

This descriptive report refers to a patent application for a mechanism adapted in a cart used in the support, displacement, and positioning of burners along the platforms of industrial ovens.

Through the articulation system of the mechanism, the burner may be positioned in different angles and easily aligned with the burner nozzle in the hatch, offering great safety to the operators during the auxiliary work of oven heating.

Technique State

As it is known by technicians in the matter, in industrial ovens closed by its caps with hatches, along the platform circulate, among other pieces of equipment, devices called “burners”. The burners have a body with back entrance for a hose connected to a high strength fan and, intermediary, its body has an internal gas chamber with ignition, also with an entrance for a hose connected to the gas supply network of the industry. Aligned to the burner chamber, a conical nozzle is found, where the air and gas mixture is expelled as a strong flare to help heating and also reheating the oven.

Sometime ago, the burner was taken by a forklift and directly assembled in the oven platform by the operators, in a laborious and risky proceeding, due to the highly heated environment of the ovens, aligned side by side. The burner nozzle was then fixed in a provisory manner, without adjustment system in relation to the position of the cap hatch, not assuring the combustion incidence directly from the threshold, allowing undesirable deviations of heated air to the walls and ceiling, causing heat in a more accentuated manner in unnecessary points and, hence, resulting in longer periods to reheat the oven.

PI 1104059-0, filled on Aug. 1, 2011 with the title “BURNER FOR COKE OVEN, WITH POSITIONING ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM AND COMBUSTION CONTROL”, has proposed an already assembled cart, burner receptor, which may move quickly along the oven platform. The cart, as shall be assembled by FIG. 1 (from the technique state) of this patent application, has a square with height adjustment and is transported to the coke oven, moving through its casters in the platform surface. In the oven entrance, the burner air and gas connections are performed, adjusting the cart frame height, which is moved by a tower and locked by spacing bolts, allowing the alignment and coupling of the flare discharge nozzle in the oven cap hatch.

Although the moving cart allowing the burner displacement through the platform and the adjustable frame easing the elevation and positioning of the flare discharge nozzle, there was a need for more articulation and movement of the burner together with the hatch.

Patent Purpose

This is exactly the mechanism proposal, due to this we request this patent, adapting in the moving cart through which, in the platform, the burner may be moved in several directions and angles, in the vertical axial direction, as well as in the radial 360° direction and also collected and moved away from the oven hatch. As shall be explained, the adjustments offered by the mechanism shall allow the positioning of the burner in the platform and the extremely easy alignment of the flare discharge nozzle together with the oven hatch.

Superficially explaining, the mechanism is more detailed through the attached drawings. As said before, FIG. 1 below offers itself to the technique state, indicated by PI 1104059-0:

FIG. 1—perspective view of part of the oven, showing the platform the moving cart accommodated in the burner. The cart has a frame, seen in detail A, from which the burner can go up and down to ease the alignment and coupling of the flare discharge nozzle close to the oven cap hatch.

The following related figures refer to said claim, purpose of this patent application:

FIG. 2—perspective view of the cart, accommodating, over its mechanism, the burner. As seen, the cart receives the gas and high strength fan control panel;

FIG. 3—perspective view of the cart, from the accommodation mechanism of the burner. As seen, a fuse is vertically fixed over the cart base and, approximately in its central part receives, in its helical thread fillets the coupling of a thread wheel between which it is coupled, also in the fuse, two plain gloves, sliding, united by an arm that perpendicularly extends itself and has a moving rail in which it is fixed and the burner is sustained;

FIG. 4—in detail A, it is shown that, with the turn the thread when goes up and down through the fuse, pushing the gloves, from above as well as from below, which carry the perpendicular arm for the adjustment in the vertical axial direction of the burner close to the oven hatch;

FIG. 5—perspective view, showing the imposed twist of the perpendicular arm;

FIG. 6—in detail B, it is shown that, pushing the perpendicular arm, the flat gloves twist along the fuse, around which they form a 360° degrees for the radial adjustment of the burner;

FIG. 7—perspective view, showing the displacement in the burner horizontal axial direction. In detail C, it is shown the moving trail of the perpendicular arm retracted together with the fuse, which shall cause the distancing of the burner from the oven hatch;

FIG. 8—perspective view according to the previous figure, showing the displacement in the burner horizontal axial direction. In detail C, it is shown the moving trail of the perpendicular arm retracted from the fuse, which shall cause the approximation of the burner with the oven hatch;

FIG. 9—perspective view, showing a cart being used to carry the burner through the oven platform and adjust the flare discharge nozzle in the oven hatch;

FIG. 10—perspective view, showing the flexibility offered by the cart along the platform, when two units are pushed together, to use two burners.

In accordance with the attached drawings, the “MOVING CART MECHANISM FOR BURNER, WITH POSITIONING ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM IN INDUSTRIAL OVEN”, purpose of this invention patent application is comprised starting with a cart (1) for burner (Q) to be used along platforms (P) of industrial ovens (F), comprised by a base (2) with casters (3), where is exhaustion equipment is located (E) and the gas feed controlled by panel (PA), as it is shown, for instance, in the technique state figure.

In its base (2), in an adequate point, the cart (1) receives a vertical fuse (4) which, preferably in its intermediary part couples, by its helical thread fillets, the corresponding threads of a wheel (5). The wheel (5) is coupled between superior (6) and inferior (7) sliding gloves, with flat back faces, which are connected by clamp (8) to a perpendicular arm (9) containing a moving trail (10).

The moving trail (10) receives the burner (Q) coupling, sustained by the support formed by the perpendicular arm (9) structured by the clamp (8), as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

The cart (1), with such constructively shall allow systems with vertical axial, radial, and horizontal axial adjusts for the burner (Q) close to the oven cap (F), in the platform (P) of an industrial oven (F).

For usage, after the air system being energizes and the gas system turned on controlled by the panel (P), the cart (1) shall be moved by the casters (3) through the platform (P) and, when stopping in front of the oven cap (F), the wheel (5) is turned moving in the vertical axial direction, going up or down the helical thread fillets of the vertical fuse (4). In this condition, the wheel (5) pushes the gloves (6) and (7), from above as well as from below along the fuse (4) carrying the perpendicular arms (9) in order to position the burner (Q) in the desired height of the oven (F) hatch (PO). Hence, the vertical axial adjustment is formed for the burner (Q), as FIGS. 3 and 4 show.

Being the height established, the perpendicular arm (9) is twists through the flat faces of the gloves (6) and (7) through the fuse (4), in a 360° degrees, transferring such movement to the burner (Q) that may have its flare discharge nozzle aligned to the oven (F) hatch (PO). Hence, the radial adjustment for the burner (q), as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 is formed.

When alignment and height are found, the moving trail (10) can be slid by the perpendicular arm (9), brought close to the fuse (4) and, in this case being away from the hatch (P) or away from the fuse (4) and, in this case, being close to the hatch (P) for coupling to start the flare discharge phase. Hence, the horizontal axial adjustment is formed to distancing or approximation of the hatch (PO), as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8.

However, the mechanism shall allow an easier displacement of the cart (1) when, by twist adjustment the burner (Q) can be perfectly loaded in parallel to the platform (P) and, together with the oven (F), being able to go up and down, be twists and also distancing or approximating from the hatch (P), easing the coupling as shown in FIG. 9.

Naturally, the adjusts close to the hatch (PO) do not obey any specific order, for instance, only a radial adjustment may be done followed of an alignment approximation adjust or a height adjustment, a distancing followed by alignment adjust and so on, in accordance with the logistics of the flare discharge nozzle coupling moment in the hatch (PO).

The cart (1) shall allow two or more units to be pushed together through the platform (P) loading the respective burners (Q), as shown in FIG. 10.
