1. Covering the hard outer surfaces of a pickle ball paddle with a rubber sheet product improves the paddle by attenuating the objectionable loud sound produced when the ball contacts the paddle.
2. Covering the hard and slick outer surfaces of a pickle ball paddle with a more tacky rubber surface, increases the player's ability to create spin thereby hitting better controlled shots.
