Cell phone case with mushroom-like button(s) locking system

A protective case discloses an electronic device protective casing, comprising the main protective shell body and the universal decorative pattern layer, the said main protective shell body layer has a pattern opening corresponding to the pattern of the universal decorative pattern layer to snugly fit in, and the said decorative pattern layer disposed on the said protective shell body layer via fixed plate. And the said fixed plate area is greater than the said decorative pattern layer. Since the said universal decorative pattern layer and the said protective shell body are manufactured separately, the universal decorative plate will be able to use for different electronic devices, therefore it will reduce the cost to make such case in term of reproduction of molding, and thereby the cost of the electronic device protective case will be as well reduced.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to the accessories for electronic devices such as cell phones and more particularly a protective case for such devices.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Cell phone has been the most popular device for over a decade. It has been developed throughout the years with the newest technology for example fastest speed of the processor, high definition of the multi-touch graphic LCD or LED. In the meantime, in the domain of the accessories, there has been a lot going on with the development to meet the needs of the consumers. Cell phone cases of the prior art are simply designed to carry around the phones. There are cases with different designs and purposes. For example, there are cases designed with one of more different materials for the look as well the functionality. To the extent that the functionality is very important for a user to have to add on to the aesthetic that the case provides, there is a need for case with pocket that has a capability of holding user's personal items.

Thus, there is a need for an improved case for an electronic device such as cell phone or tablet that provides protection for the device with a fashionable look, plus an add-on functionality to carry within the case the user's personal items.

SUMMARY

The object of the present invention is to meet the needs of the users in the market of the electronic accessories, in particularly the protective case. In the aspect of the invention, the case is made with two different layers of materials, soft layer and hard layer. The soft layer is soft enough to be able to open as pocket functionality. The hard layer is hard enough to protect the device as well as the personal items that the case withholds within. The soft layer consists of a pocket flap or a pocket cover. And it is locked in place to the hard layer via mushroom-like button(s) locking system. Since the pocket flap is soft enough to flip back and forth between the close and open positions, therefore, the user of the electronic device is able to access the stored personal item(s).

Moreover, the pocket flap, which is made from the soft thin material, is connected to the hard layer by one or more button(s) or any other form of connection to secure the stored contents. Therefore, the user has no doubt that he will not lose the article(s) that he stores in such case.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a protective case for an electronic device is composed by two different layers of materials, hard layer material and soft layer material. Both layers are locked to one another by a mushroom-like button(s) locking system.

With reference to the FIGS. 1-8 of the drawings, a protective case 1 includes the hard layer 2 and the soft layer 3. The soft layer 3 and the hard layer 2 form a pocket in between in order for the user to hold their personal items. As shown on FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the soft layer 2 presents a pocket flap or cover 6, which is able to lock in place to the mushroom-like button(s) 5, so that the personal items that is stored within will be securely locked in place.

According to the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3, the hard layer 3 consists of a cut to form a mouth of a so-called pocket at the top in order for the user to be able to reach in for the personal items that are stored within.

For the purposes of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 7, the mushroom-like button(s) 5 is shown while the pocket flap or cover 6 is absent; the mushroom-like button(s) locking system is in an unlocked mode. Whereas, shown in FIG. 8, the mushroom-like button(s) 5 is shown with the presence of the pocket flap or cover 6, therefore the mushroom-like button(s) locking system is in a locked mode.

For the purposes of the present invention, the term “Cell Phone” shall include widely all kind of electronic devices such as tablets, PDA(s), gaming console(s), or any other portable electronic device(s).

Although the foregoing description of the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to the preferred version thereof, it is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to the precise form disclosed. Other versions are possible in light of the above detailed description of the present invention. For example, the mushroom-like button(s) may be in different shape(s) or geometrical form(s). Therefore, the spirit and the scope of the appended claims should not necessarily be limited to the description of the preferred version contained herein, and all changes that come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced therein.
