The Futrell Swivel

The Swivel is a 3″ ball-bearing rotation system, which is fitted in the ball of a shoe, between the sole and insole. This allows the planted foot to turn freely.

Description

The Swivel is a 3 inch Lazy Susan, which is a ball bearing rotation system. This bearing has a weight capacity of 200 pounds, and is rust resistant because of the zinc plated bracket and it's weight is 3 oz. The bearing is a turntable put into the front of a shoe under the ball of the foot.

This substitute specification contains no new matter.

Claims

1. The purpose of the swivel is relieve stress on the ankle and the knee, allowing the planted foot to turn freely, as the upper body turns from left to right. Taking a blow in a fixed position implies no way to dissipate the energy, and damage ensues. Older people tend to fall when there is no ability to shift a force that will take them to the ground.
