Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This present invention claims the benefit of Chinese Patent Application No. CN201220640153.9, filed on Nov. 26, 2012; the contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to lock catch, and more particularly to a lock catch for connecting upper and sole of sandals, slippers and hollow shoes.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The structure of the shoes substantially comprises three parts: upper, inner sole and outsole. At present, there are at least two steps in the process of producing shoes: first, bonding the upper and inner sole by using glue, second, bonding the inner sole and outsole by using glue. This process is not only complex and time-consuming, but also results in a waste of glue and the pollution of the environment. Meanwhile, this kind of bonding connection is not very firm, because the glue is prone to failure after the shoes soak in the water or after a long-time usage, which brings about the separation of upper and sole and leads to damage to the shoes.

In order to solve the above problems, a connection structure for upper and sole is disclosed, which contains hitches setting at the joints of upper and sole and joint pins locating at the interlayer of the sole. By slipping the hitch over the joint pin, the upper and sole are connected together. Although this kind of connection structure can avoid the use of glue, every pair of shoes needs a number of hitches and joint pins, which causes the increase of production materials and cost of shoes.

Thus, it is necessary to provide a lock catch which is not only simple in design but also low in cost for connecting upper and sole of variety of shoes, particularly sandals, slippers and hollow shoes.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following description of the presently contemplated best mode of practicing the invention is not be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of describing the general principles of the invention. The scope of the invention should be determined with reference to the claims.

In FIG. 1 a sectional view of the lock catch for connecting upper and sole is shown. The lock catch comprises matched male buckle member 1 and female buckle member 2 which contains a platform 21 shown in FIG. 4, and the male buckle member 1 and the female buckle member 2 are coupled with each other. In the actual production process, the shoe bottom could be one-piece type, that is, the inner sole and outsole are a whole, or a combination of two pieces which means the inner sole and outsole are combined together. The upper can easily get through the opening of the shoe bottom after the upper is sewed to the male buckle member 1, and then the male buckle member 1 is buckled in the female buckle member 2, while the platform 21 is stuck in another platform which is set at the opening of the shoe bottom.

In FIG. 2 a perspective view of the lock catch for connecting upper and sole, from which we can also see a lock catch comprises matched male buckle member 1 and female buckle member 2.

In FIG. 3 a front view of the male buckle member is shown. The male buckle member comprises two parallel vertical rods 11 and a connecting rod 12 for connecting the two parallel vertical rods 11, and two hooks 13 are oppositely arranged at the end of the two parallel vertical rods 11, respectively. The connecting rod 12 can be sewed in the upper, while the hooks 13 are matched with the female buckle member 2.

The vertical rods 11 and connecting rod 12 are integrally molded. Integrally molded structure is easier to be manufactured and lower in cost.

The junctions of the vertical rods 11 and connecting rod 12 are arcuated and smooth, so as not to damage the upper.

The shape of the connecting rod 12 is arch.

Two protrusions 14 are oppositely arranged in the middle of the two parallel vertical rods 11, respectively. The protrusions 14 should be matched quite well with the upper end of the female buckle member 2 to ensure the stability of the lock catch.

In FIG. 4 a perspective view of the female buckle member is shown and in FIG. 5 a sectional view of the female buckle member is shown. The female buckle member comprises female buckle body 22 and holes 23 setting on both sides of the platform 21 to match with the hooks 13. The diameter of the holes 23 should be bigger than the lateral dimensions of the hooks 13, so that the hooks 13 can get through the holes 23 to be stuck by the female buckle member 2.

The platform 21 is set in the center of the female buckle body 22, and the female buckle body 22 and the platform 21 are integrally molded. As mentioned before, integrally molded structure is easier to be manufactured and lower in cost.

The platform 21 comprises the first platform area 211 and the second platform area 212 which is shorter than the first platform area 211 in length, and the first platform area 211 and the second platform area 212 are integrally molded. That is to say, the shape of the platform 21 is similar to the letter T, meanwhile, the extended part of the first platform area 211 from the second platform area 212 should be hooked by the hooks 13 exactly.

The shape of the above two corners of the first platform area 211 is set as arc to match with the protrusions 14. In this case, the male buckle member 1 can be locked firmly with the female buckle member 2.

The male buckle member 1 of this invention can be sewed with the upper individually, and then the male buckle member 1 gets through the opening of the shoe bottom to be locked with the female buckle member 2. Specifically, the hooks 13 on the male buckle member 1 get through the holes 23 on the female buckle member 2 to be stuck under the extended part of the first platform area 211 from the second platform area 212, meanwhile, the protrusions 14 on the male buckle member 1 are matched with the upper end of the first platform area 211 on the female buckle member 2, and the platform 21 on the female buckle member 2 can be stuck under the flat setting in the opening of the shoe bottom to finish the connection of the upper and the outsole, and further the connection of the upper and sole. It is noted that the inner sole and the outsole can be combined before the above operation.

This invention avoids the use of glue which leads to the decrease of the pollution of the environment. Besides, this lock catch is simple in design, and only a few such kind of lock catches are needed in every pair of shoes to realize a firm connection of upper and sole, which results in the reduction of cost and the improvement of production efficiency. The lock catch of the invention is particularly suitable for the upper and sole of sandals, slippers and hollow shoes.
