Description
BACKGROUND

This disclosure relates to a camouflage baby sling. For purposes of this disclosure, various examples of a camouflage baby sling are discussed. However, such discussion is solely exemplary, and not limiting.

Methods for camouflaging humans to surrounding environments have evolved over time. In military combat situations, uniform fatigues have developed a generic pattern that can blend into most forest environments for land assaults. Over time, colors, styles and types of camouflage designs have evolved to adapt to desert, grass, and even sea environments.

Aside from military tactical situations, camouflaging is used in hunting environments. Improvements in the detail and development of leaf, grass, and even tree bark patterns on camouflaged clothing have allowed hunters to stalk even closer to their prey. As a result they can gain more successful yields, as well as more accurate one-time kill shots to avoid unnecessary injury to animals. Furthermore, the improvements in camouflage have helped hunters avoid detection and allowed for increased safety from potential attack or retaliation from wild animals.

Over time, however, hunting has evolved from a survival situation to a sport activity for hunters. Typically, hunting for sport has become a social gathering for groups of hunters and families in a variety of outdoor environments. Potential accompaniers of modern day hunts can include small children, as well as infants who need to be carried at all times in a sling or other accessory. While camouflaged clothing and patterns exist for adults, young adults and even some young children, there is no general availability for camouflaging an infant in the hunting environment. As a result, bringing a baby into a hunting environment can invite potential hazards by visually giving away a hunting party's position to wild animals.

As such it would be useful to have a camouflage baby sling.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Described herein is a camouflage baby sling. The following description is presented to enable any person skilled in the art to make and use the invention as claimed and is provided in the context of the particular examples discussed below, variations of which will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art. In the interest of clarity, not all features of an actual implementation are described in this specification. It will be appreciated that in the development of any such actual implementation (as in any development project), design decisions must be made to achieve the designers' specific goals (e.g., compliance with system- and business-related constraints), and that these goals will vary from one implementation to another. It will also be appreciated that such development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the field of the appropriate art having the benefit of this disclosure. Accordingly, the claims appended hereto are not intended to be limited by the disclosed embodiments, but are to be accorded their widest scope consistent with the principles and features disclosed herein.

FIG. 1 illustrates a baby camouflaged in a baby sling 100. Baby sling 100 can be worn in an outdoor environment. Baby sling 100 allows baby to be accompanied outdoors with mobility for person carrying the baby. Baby sling 100 is composed of pattern 101 on its surface. The surface of baby sling 100 visually resembles patterns visually similar to the environment in which baby is placed in, which can include a forest, in one embodiment. As a result, baby is difficult to visually distinguish separately from the outdoor environment and is hidden from view by appearing the same visually as the outdoor environment, due to the appearance of baby sling 100.

In addition to one type of outdoor environment, baby sling 100 can also camouflage baby in multiple types of environments. Aside from blending baby with an environment with trees, for example, baby sling 100 can also simultaneously camouflage baby in an environment which also contains, for example, grass. As a result, baby sling 100 can allow baby to be carried around and camouflaged in outdoor environments with a variety of different vegetation areas, which can also include, but are not limited to, bushes, leaves, brush and various other plants. In other embodiments, baby sling 100 can also camouflage baby in other outdoor environments, which can include, but are not limited to, rocks, mountains, desert, snow, and even bodies of water.

Additionally, baby sling 100 can also adjust position of baby, relative to person carrying baby, to enhance camouflaging of baby with environment. In one embodiment, baby sling 100 can have baby attached to front chest or abdomen area. However, in other embodiments, baby sling 100 can place baby on back, shoulder or other parts of person carrying baby. Accordingly, baby's position on person can assist in camouflaging baby with any outdoor environment or combination of outdoor environments.

FIG. 2A illustrates a baby sling as fabric. Specifically, baby sling 100 can comprise a sheet 200 of fabric. Fabric can comprise any type of cloth, which can include, but is not limited to, cottons, polyesters, nylons, silk, spandex, linen, wools or any combination of cloths. In one embodiment, fabric can be made to stretch for a variety of functions. One example for such property can include, but is not limited to, assistance in securing and/or covering baby in baby sling 100. In addition, sheet 200 can be stretchable to adapt to babies of all sizes, in one embodiment, as well as persons of all sizes, in another embodiment.

Sheet 200 can be cut into other shapes to accommodate wrapping of baby sling 100. Sheet 200 can also have any length, width or even thickness to adjust to dimensions of baby or person wearing baby sling 100.

To form baby sling 100, sheet 200 can be wrapped around person and baby to carry baby inside baby sling 100. In one embodiment, sheet 200 can be tied in a variety of ways with one or more knots around the body of a person. In another embodiment, sheet can be twisted and tucked to secure baby sling 100 to person. Baby sling 100 comprises a seat 201, in which baby can be sitting upright, cradled lengthwise or laying down. Seat 201 can allow baby to be carried in baby sling 100 on the person's front, back, shoulder or hip. In one embodiment, padding can be added or sewn into seat 201 for additional support and comfort of baby.

Accordingly, sheet 200 can be tied around person in various ways. In one embodiment, sheet 200 can be placed around shoulder and tied at hip. In another embodiment, sheet can be tied around waist and wrapped over both shoulders in the shape of an “X.” As a result, baby can be sitting upright at abdomen facing either towards or away from person. In one embodiment, sheet 200 can be tied in a sliding knot, which can form a pretzel shape.

FIG. 2B illustrates a baby sling as a ring sling 202. Ring sling 202 can comprise a sheet 200 with a ring 203. Sheet 200 is placed through ring 203. Ring 203 can help secure tension in sheet 200 to sustain shape of baby sling 100. The ends of sheet 200 are kept together by the ring, instead of a knot. In one embodiment, ring 203 can be adjustable to fit person and/or baby. In one embodiment, baby sling 100 can comprise multiple rings for flexibility and secured fastening of baby sling 100.

FIG. 2C illustrates a pouch sling 204. Pouch sling 204 can comprise a seat 201 made into a tube shape and a strap 205. Pouch sling 204 can be worn with a strap over the shoulder and baby placed in seat 201. Seat 201 can be worn on the front, back or hip area of person.

In one embodiment, pouch sling can comprise one sheet 200 of fabric. Fabric of pouch sling 204 can have a curve sewn into it to sustain its shape and secure seat 201 for baby. In another embodiment, multiple sheets 200 of fabric and a separate strap can be attached together to form pouch sling 204. In other embodiments, pouches can be adjustable through accessories, including, but not limited to, snaps, buckles or buttons.

FIG. 2D illustrates a baby carrier 206. Baby carrier 206 can comprise a seat 201 attached to one or more straps 205. Baby carrier 206 can be worn on person similarly to a backpack, for example, in which, baby is carried on either front or back of person. Seat 201 of baby carrier 206 can have two leg inserts 208 through which legs of baby can be placed.

In one embodiment, straps 205 can be cross shoulder straps, which form an “X” shape across back of person. In one embodiment, baby carrier 206 and straps 205 can have accessories that can include, but are not limited to, snap devices, buckles, and buttons. Such accessories can secure baby to person and/or adjust baby carrier 206 to size of person and/or baby.

FIG. 3A illustrates a camouflage pattern 300. Camouflage pattern 300 can blend into an outdoor environment. Camouflage pattern 300 can comprise shapes, lines and figures, which individually appear vague or amorphous, but in combination, blend visually with an outdoor environment. Camouflage pattern 300 can also comprise shapes, lines and figures, which appear vague or amorphous when viewing print up close, but, once panned out, appear to blend into environments, including, but not limited to, forests, wooded areas, hill country areas or tall grassy areas. In other embodiments, various colors, shapes and figures can be added to Camouflage pattern 300 to blend baby sling 100 visually with various environments that can include, but are not limited to, rocks, water and/or mountains.

FIG. 3B illustrates another camouflage pattern 301. Camouflage pattern 301 can blend into multiple environments simultaneously. Camouflage pattern 301 can comprise, but is not limited to, depictions of grass, tree branches, brush and other vegetation. Specifically, the camouflage pattern 301 can depict outside environments in nature. Such environments can include, but are not limited to, forests, grassy areas, brush and even tree bark surfaces. In the camouflage pattern 301, colors similar to tall grass, trees and leaves can be used in pattern. The space in between plant images can have colors similar to outdoor environments such as forests, for example. Also, camouflage pattern 301 can contain different shades of colors, which can include, but is not limited to shades of green, brown, or yellow. Furthermore, camouflage pattern 301 can contain contrasts and mixtures of colors and shades, which can allow baby sling 100 to blend into a variety of environments. In one embodiment, camouflage pattern 301 can comprise a tree print pattern.
