Method for Tailoring Garments
A method for tailoring garments includes steps for browsing and selecting a manufacturing country and a main design for a garment, browsing and selecting auxiliary designs for the main design, inputting sizes and dimensions of the user for the garment, finalizing the main design and the auxiliary designs for the garments, patterning fabric with grade marking in an off-line workshop according to the main design, cutting the fabric according to the grade marking in the off-line workshop, finishing the garment in the off-line workshop using the cut fabric and auxiliary material procured according to the auxiliary designs, and delivering the finished garment to the user in the off-line workshop.
The present invention relates to a method for tailoring garments.
Applicant has worked in the fashion industry for ladies for several decades, and the biggest difficulty has been how to make garments fitting the bodies and how create new designs for them.
However, it is a totally different thing to come up with a solution, even though the problems have been well-known for a long time.
Since the fashion industry keeps moving forward with unexpected contortions across the space and time of the community.
The style of garments depends heavily on the space and time, that is, regions or countries and seasons or years, such that it seems to be almost impossible to follow the styles closely.
Accordingly, a need for a method for tailoring garments has been present for a long time considering the expansive demands in the everyday life. This invention is directed to solve these problems and satisfy the long-felt need.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention contrives to solve the disadvantages of the prior art.
An object of the invention is to provide a method for tailing garments.
An aspect of the invention provides a method for tailoring garments, comprising steps for:
(a) a user's logging in a website;
(b) browsing and selecting a manufacturing country and a main design for a garment from a plurality of ready-made main designs displayed in the website;
(c) browsing and selecting a plurality of auxiliary designs for the main design from a plurality of ready-made auxiliary designs displayed in the website;
(d) inputting sizes and dimensions of the user for the garment in the website;
(e) finalizing the main design and the plurality of auxiliary designs for the garments in the website;
(f) patterning fabric with grade marking in an off-line workshop according to the main design finalized in the step (e) by the user and downloaded from the website;
(g) cutting the fabric according to the grade marking in the off-line workshop;
(h) finishing the garment in the off-line workshop using the cut fabric and auxiliary material procured according to the auxiliary designs downloaded from the website; and
(i) delivering the finished garment to the user in the off-line workshop.
The website may be provided in a computer network through a cloud computing environment.
The step (b) may comprise steps for:
(b-1) a designer's accessing an on-line design room and selecting a country in the cloud computing environment;
(b-2) designing the plurality of main designs for the selected country in the on-line design room, which is equipped with virtual designing tools; and
(b-3) uploading the plurality of main designs to the website, such that the user browses the plurality of main designs.
The on-line design room may be further equipped with virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories and mannequins configured to be used with the virtual designing tools.
The step (b-2) may comprise steps for:
fitting one of the plurality of main designs to one of the mannequins; and
correcting and finalizing the one of the plurality of main designs.
The virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories, and mannequins may be provided by streaming from the cloud computing environment.
The virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories, and mannequins are downloaded from a server in the network.
The method may further comprise a step for (b-4) uploading a custom-made main design if the user does not select from the plurality ready-made main design the step (b).
The custom-made main design may comprise pictures and drawings downloaded from an Internet or taken by the user's personal information device such as a smart phone.
The plurality of auxiliary designs may comprise fabric, buttons, zippers, and accessories.
The off-line workshop may equipped with garment-fabricating material and equipments.
The custom-made main design may comprise pictures and drawings downloaded from an Internet or taken by the user's personal information device such as a smart phone, and the off-line workshop may be provided with a main design corresponding to the pictures and drawings.
The off-line workshop in the step of finishing may be in a headquarter when the finishing includes one or more difficult works.
The off-line workshop in the step of finishing may be close to an address of the user when the finishing does not include one or more difficult works.
The advantages of the present invention are: (1) the method according to the invention allows the user to participate the process of designing; and (2) the method facilitates creation of new designs from the sides of designers and users.

Claims
1. A method for tailoring garments comprising steps for:
- (a) a user's logging in a website;
- (b) browsing and selecting a manufacturing country and a main design for a garment from a plurality of ready-made main designs displayed in the website;
- (c) browsing and selecting a plurality of auxiliary designs for the main design from a plurality of ready-made auxiliary designs displayed in the website;
- (d) inputting sizes and dimensions of the user for the garment in the website;
- (e) finalizing the main design and the plurality of auxiliary designs for the garments in the website;
- (f) patterning fabric with grade marking in an off-line workshop according to the main design finalized in the step (e) by the user and downloaded from the website;
- (g) cutting the fabric according to the grade marking in the off-line workshop;
- (h) finishing the garment in the off-line workshop using the cut fabric and auxiliary material procured according to the auxiliary designs downloaded from the website; and
- (i) delivering the finished garment to the user in the off-line workshop.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the website is provided in a computer network through a cloud computing environment.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the step (b) comprises steps for:
- (b-1) a designer's accessing an on-line design room and selecting a country in the cloud computing environment;
- (b-2) designing the plurality of main designs for the selected country in the on-line design room, which is equipped with virtual designing tools; and
- (b-3) uploading the plurality of main designs to the website, such that the user browses the plurality of main designs.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the on-line design room is further equipped with virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories, and mannequins configured to be used with the virtual designing tools.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the step (b-2) comprises steps for:
- fitting one of the plurality of main designs to one of the mannequins; and
- correcting and finalizing the one of the plurality of main designs.
6. The method of claim 4, wherein the virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories, and mannequins are provided by streaming from the cloud computing environment.
7. The method of claim 4, wherein the virtual fabric, buttons, zippers, accessories, and mannequins are downloaded from a server in the network.
8. The method of claim 1, further comprising a step for (b-4) uploading a custom-made main design if the user does not select from the plurality ready-made main design the step (b).
9. The method of claim 8, wherein the custom-made main design comprises pictures and drawings downloaded from an Internet or taken by the user's personal information device such as a smart phone.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of auxiliary designs comprise fabric, buttons, zippers, and accessories.
11. The method of claim 1, wherein the off-line workshop is equipped with garment-fabricating material and equipments.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein the custom-made main design comprises pictures and drawings downloaded from an Internet or taken by the user's personal information device such as a smart phone, and wherein the off-line workshop is provided with a main design corresponding to the pictures and drawings.
13. The method of claim 1, wherein the off-line workshop in the step of finishing is in a headquarter when the finishing includes one or more difficult works.
14. The method of claim 1, wherein the off-line workshop in the step of finishing is close to an address of the user when the finishing does not include one or more difficult works.
