CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION AND CLAIM OF PRIORITY

The application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 20-2012-0011782, filed on Dec. 13, 2012, at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosures of which are incorporated herein in their entirety by reference.

BACKGROUND

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a bathroom toilet paper holder, with the addition of new functionality, embodied in a groove and/or a protrusion used to store multiple smartphones, tablet personal computers (PCs), books, magazines, and a writing implement, and any combination thereof, embodied by installing a structure used to store memo pads.

2. Description of the Related Art

The toilet tissue roll holder is generally and commonly used in the bathroom. However, although the conventional holder has been combined with the additional functions of holding magazines, speakers, and/or recharging capabilities, it is seldom, if ever, combined with a mobile phone holder. This mobile phone holder is commonly characterized and implemented by laying the mobile phone flat on the upper side of a cover of the toilet paper holder. However, this manifestation is, unfortunately, not popular. Furthermore, conventional mobile phone holders have been solely limited to automobiles. In order to produce the proper fusion of a bath tissue holder and mobile phone holder, some companies have developed a toilet paper holder having a degree of thickness to aid in the storage of a mobile phone. These companies have also tried to fuse a magazine rack and a flat rack for the horizontal positioning of a mobile phone. This type of holder is, however, not suitable for the digital age because it is incapable of holding a tablet PC and/or a combination of a multitude of other portable electronic devices or other goods, such as newspapers, books, and the like, and the costs associated with its installation (i.e., remodeling, custom plastering, tiling) are expensive.

As smartphones and tablet PCs become increasingly popular in accordance with the rapid development of information technology (IT) devices, people increasingly desire the capability to watch movies, read newspapers and/or books (or online versions thereof), and/or listen to music, while making use of the bathroom. In consideration of these evolving new devices, it is very difficult to find available space to hold portable electronic devices in the bathroom. Occasionally, while preparing to use—or actually using—the restroom, an expensive smartphone can slip from ones' hands and fall into the toilet or onto the floor by mistake. Alternatively, one can be in a predicament where one needs to take down a business-critical note(s) during a call in the bathroom, or needs to recharge a smartphone while waiting for an urgent call. To solve these problems, the present invention provides a new structural and multi-purpose toilet paper holder which enables you to store nearly all kinds and amounts of smartphones and/or tablet PCs, books, and/or magazines, writing implements, memo pads, and the like, and includes the ability to re-charge each of them via connection with their appropriate charging equipment. The present invention has advantages over existing toilet paper holders in that the present invention has functionality capable of holding multiple portable electronic devices, books, or magazines, writing implements, memo pads, and the like. With the help of the new functionality added, one can be free to store at least one smartphone and/or tablet PC, books, and/or magazines, take notes from important cellular calls, and/or recharge the smartphone and/or tablet PC while waiting for an urgent call, all while making use of the restroom.
